A necessary evil to be in the stable financial position that we currently are. On that note, didn't Liverpool release some financial figures today, Nos...?

'Reds reveal £35m waste'

you just can't make this shit up

@Havak I'm not surprised that a Newcastle fan,or any fan for that matter, would go to that extent;the idea of a season that United finish trophyless is such a wonderful feeling :D

Hmm, maybe I'm just less bitter than most?

I for one would love Newcastle to finish fourth and keep their best players.

I'd also love it if Chelsea win the Champions League.

Sadly, if both happen, Newcastle will be disappointed.

Is the Cardiff - West Ham game on TV at all?

sky sports 1

currently 2-0, decent game! west ham looking good to win this game and probably continue that form in the second leg and final. hope the play-offs are an advert for the talent on show in the championship, everyone seems to overlook it. especially considering a lot of the games are much more exciting than like 40% of epl games imo

Disappointed with Cardiff, what is that 3 or 4 years in a row now? Seeing as I used to live in Cardiff I guess they're the closest thing to my hometown team. Barring a remarkable turnaround I guess that lets me keep a passing interest in the Championship for at least another year!

dont even talk about under-performing to me

leeds finished 14th in the champo this year :(

man at least your manager didn't totally give up on the playoffs in the last 3 weeks of the season, as much as i love poyet i dunno what he was thinking!

also west ham had better choke hard in the final, i want blackpool back in the premiership!

haha man we both dropped off pretty bad! i think it was just so close between everyone, but i think the 4 that made the playoffs definitely deserved it.

at least i can be proud to probably support the lowest placed team in this thread!

I'd love to see Blackpool back in the prem. Holloway was a quote machine, such a great personality, I think it's perfectly summarised by his words about the ways of winning.

“To put it in gentleman’s terms if you’ve been out for a night and you’re looking for a young lady and you pull one, some weeks they’re good looking and some weeks they’re not the best. Our performance today would have been not the best looking bird but at least we got her in the taxi. She wasn’t the best looking lady we ended up taking home but she was very pleasant and very nice, so thanks very much, let’s have a coffee.”

Haha, I do love Ian Holloway. It's not even Blackpool I want in the Premier League, it's him. Blackpool would go straight back down this time if they got promoted again.

West Ham will probably do it, I think they'll stumble over the line with a 1-1 draw against Cardiff at Upton Park. I fancy Blackpool to nick the win against Birmingham too.

Well, that loss vs Newcastle sucked for Chelsea, because even though they're my favorite team on europe, I don't really think they can beat Bayern for the CL finals, and should that happen, they'll be out of the next CL...

I've been beginning to have a random feeling that Abramovich will sign Capello as his new manager..random yes, possible? perhaps.

not random, haven't you seen him in the press lately about how he actually speaks ok english, loves London and wants one more big club job* before retirement?

*massive severance bonus

must win game for Arsenal, if they lose this then fourth is the best they can realistically hope for and we all know the poisoned chalice that fourth place is gonna be this season. Whether Van Persie stays or not is already touch and go - you can forget about it if you don't get into Europe!

re: capello, don't forget that it was his loyalty to a Chelsea player that cost him the England job - i reckon he'd take it, but why should Abramovich offer him it? he's unlikely to be popular with the fans after his stint with England and i'm sure many are questioning his managerial credentials now.

Was out earlier and just got in, looked at the result. ffs dafuq happened etc etc

Apparently a draw was the right result so can't complain and I'll be waiting for motd tonight. Looking forward to doing plenty of complaining after that though!
