I just want to respond to this from before:
The problem is, when he was governor of Massachusetts, Romney didn't need to cater to the extreme right in order to garner votes and his basic ideologies were never put into question. The fact is, if Romney wins presidency, he will be too busy trying to win votes for reelection to actually do what you would expect him to do. He has already proven to have extremely malleable ideals, having flopped on pretty much every issue and having made a fool of himself internationally in an attempt to cater to the more emotional voters (i.e. the teabaggers). I would definitely vote for Mitt Romney based on his record as governor, but the fact is he's proven himself too easy to manipulate to be an effective president, in my opinion.
