Hiya everyone, this is going to be our official thread for anything notable that happens within the tier's landscape this generation. We'll be using this thread to announce tiering decisions, community surveys, council promotions/departures, moderator promotions/departures, and to congratulate UU Ladybugs/Community Contributors on their shiny new badges when the time comes.

Moreover, we have some UU players who have received some badges since the last update! Congratulations to Mossy Sandwich umbry and Queen of Bean for earning the Community Contributor Badge as well as Melt Gibson and Easter Bliss for earning the Ladybug badge. We've all seen your amazing contributions since the start of the generation and are grateful that you all are part of our community. We hope to see you all stick around for the coming changes with Pokemon Home!

Lastly, we have some council shakeups. umbry and KM have chosen to step down from the council for the time being even though they actually stepped down like a month ago. We all give you a huge thanks for your time and support navigating these past two generations and wish the best for the future. As for council additions, hariyana grande has been added to the UU council. If you haven't said your congratulations yet, be sure to do so!

Our first vote will be covering the following: Breloom, Galarian Moltres, Hisuian Arcanine, Hisuian Lilligant, Hydreigon, Iron Hands, and Skeledirge.

Note that the UU Council does not believe most of these Pokemon to be problematic; we have been discussing community feedback, though, and figured it would be worth voting on all of the above in our initial vote so that we can see where we stand with how the community is feeling. I encourage you all to let us know if you have any other feelings in the metagame discussion thread, as we are actively monitoring it to make informed tiering decisions.

September 1, 2023- The following tier shifts occurred:

Torkoal moved from RU to OU

Hoopa-Unbound moved from OU to UU
Roaring Moon moved from OU to UU
Ursaluna moved from OU to UU

We've got some changes in both the UU forum moderation team and the UU council. Long-time forum moderator Hilomilo has chosen to step down after many years and generations of contributions to the UU community. We all greatly appreciate the effort you have put in making UU a better place and wish you the best going forward! As for changes to the council, long-time UU players Sage and vivalospride have gotten greatly involved in SV and have been added to council! We look forward to working with you throughout the generation! Also, umbry has rejoined the UU council! Welcome back! Be sure to give your congratulations to our new and returning council additions!

Probably not much of a surprise, but we'll be voting on our three new drops over the coming couple of days: Hoopa Unbound, Roaring Moon and Ursaluna are all on the chopping block.

We'll keep you posted on the vote, expect an update by tomorrow around midnight GMT +1. ^^

Been mentioned already but to give an update - we are voting on Quaquaval, Ceruledge and Ursaluna, following the DLC buffs for the former two and community sentiment for the latter. Tornadus-T was taken off the slate as it was felt that Knock Off was not a substantial enough buff to warrant a quickban vote on something that has been here for this long; we will be revisiting it post-shifts to see how it goes. Expect results within a day or two!

That pic was annoying to make. This week, we're intending to vote on Heatran, Pelipper, Kommo-o, Garganacl, Garchomp, Iron Hands, and Ceruledge. There will be reasoning given once we vote, as usual; you can probably guess for most of them though. We're keeping an eye on other stuff like Quaquaval and Weavile too, but for now we felt like these were the most important to vote on.

Last but not least, we've got some shake ups within the council. Both hariyana grande and TSR have chosen to step down from the UU council. We thank them both for the many months they have spent here and we wish them the best going forward and that they still stick around to still play UU! Additionally, because of their great presence, activity, and community contributions, Askov passion and Mossy Sandwich have all been added to the council. Congratulations!
