5th Gen OU Analysis Index - 89 BW2 Revamps On Site!

Just posting to say the Conkeldurr is done. Just a quick question thoguh, since the original thread already recieved two QC approvals, does that mean the new thread goes straight to the copy editing phaze, or does it also need 2 stamps?

Everything should be fully up to date now.

Also, a few announcements to be made, in case you haven't seen them. The site is nearly ready to take Black/White analyses, which means that the system has been pretty much overhauled.

Key points of interest:

  • You are now expected to use prefixes to denote at what stage your analysis is at, rather than editing the topic title. This helps organisation since you can sort analyses by category. You can still use your topic title to display numbers of QC/GP checks, but you no longer need "Written" or "Placeholder" or anything of that sort. See here for more information.
  • The Grammar-Prose team is now officially operating on 5th Gen analyses. This means that you can now PM users to ask them for checks on your 5th Gen stuff. However, please try to restrain yourselves for the moment, as there is still a colossal backlog in 4th Gen that needs clearing up, which takes priority.
  • The guides on writing and formatting your analyses have been added to Announcements. Not particularly important, but if you haven't read these already, especially if you are a newer contributor, I urge you to do so.

I think that's everything.

Note for everybody:

By the results of the second round of OU Suspect voting, Manaphy and Deoxys-N have been voted Uber. For that reason, please take all mentions of them out of your analyses. In addition, the combination of Swift Swim and Drizzle on the same team has also been banned. If the Pokemon in your analysis has either of these abilities, or this change affects your analysis in any way, please update to reflect the metagame changes.

Just as a note, guys, you don't have to post to tell me something if I've already put it in the index (which is generally quite likely, so please take five seconds to check first before posting).

Ok, should have said this earlier but i'm stupid so I didn't. I've taken over Tyranitar from Soonerorlater. I'm using the same thread that he used so don't change the link

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

From the OU Quality Control Documentation:

Rising_Dusk said:
If a member of the Quality Control team thinks the set deserves a spot on-site, he will post the Quality Control stamp of approval to signify it. After an analysis receives three stamps of approval, it will be moved to the copyediting stage where the author can finish the full analysis and then have it grammar checked before going on-site.

This was supposedly the rule for quite some time now, but has essentially been ignored. So, for all those that are not currently aware, the official position is that ALL 5th Gen OU analyses currently in Quality Control now require three, not two, stamps to be moved on to Copyediting. This is the case for all analyses currently in Quality Control.

However, if your analysis has already been fully approved, this does not apply, even if you only have two stamps, so you can continue.

Happy C&Cing.

Yeah, to confirm what BMB is saying, the 2 stamp rule was something for less active areas of C&C. Basically, it was only allowed in DPP UU for awhile, then recently expanded to all of DPP with the force of 5th gen being so strong. 5th gen is far too active and we have a ton of QC members, so we can afford to have 3 checks for each analysis.

While on that subject, do you recommend people pm a member of QC to have them check their threads or is it that QC members have a massive backlog (most likely...)and is the reason why only a some threads have been checked and approved?
