5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

hey guys=D! now i have a new prob! haha. err i am not sure how to find a seed for breeding in gen V. I am using RNG Reporter 9.81 BETA. at the capture tab which method should I use? I dont have any breeding method over there, should I use PIDRNG?

Method 5 Standard seed for Gift Pokemon.

The PID frame will show you what three ivs you inherit from your parents. The rest, you get from the seed.
------->ex. Seed: 31/14/31/31/31/31
--------->Female: 24/31/31/7/8/20
------------->Male: 7/29/31/31/2/31
PID Inheritance: __/Fe/__/Ma/__/Ma
4th/5th gen Shiny Egg Finder is best if you are trying for a shiny one. Otherwise, the capture tab will give you a lot more seeds to work with.
I'm not talking about rain from the roamer. You can't get rid of that. Just make sure it's not raining/snowing before the roamer arrives. October is Summer so that should work.
Currently RNG reporter doesn't display characteristics for roamers. You can setup researcher to do the PID%6 for you though. Here's how.
Right. If your parents are flawless and your seed is flawless, you don't have to worry about inheritance. Just make sure you get the nature you're after.

No. It seems you're not understanding the PID%6 method. If you look at frame 465 (researcher frame) the remainder is 1. Look at this hexagon and you'll see that for Mischievous (SpA) and your IVs the remainder must be 4. So you should be looking for 17 under the nature column and 4 under the PID%6 column. Frame 471 is a match.
This one is also wrong. Modest=15 under the nature column. Somewhat Vain=5 under the PID%6 column.
I didn't check the Adamant/Hasty ones so you should recheck those too.

Do I understand from this, that say I'm looking for a Rash, alert to sounds match, I find Nature = 19 and a remainder of = 3?
You'd be surprised.
Your parameters relate to the particular cartridge/console combination you were using when you found them. Change either and you must find your new parameters.
If you're talking about gen 5, you don't need a shiny to find your SID. You can use any pokemon caught or hatched in your game.
Either:
1. Install IR-GTS on your computer, and you can check for yourself, plus you have storage and cloning facilities.
2. Use an Action Replay code.
3. Upload a pokemon to http://www.pokecheck.org/http://www.pokecheck.org/ and look at its description.
4. Trade one of your pokemon to another player with an AR cart or IR-GTS so they can tell you.
Even if you did (which I'm not sure of), you aren't guaranteed to hit your target frame simply because it might not be hittable with that seed.
Keep advancing in 10 increments and see if you get closer to your target frame. If you get very close, try advancing by 1 increment at a time. If you get even closer just keep advancing by the same number.
So like when I advanced by 40 chatots I was 8 frames away from my target. Then advanced by 41 and I was 1 frame away. Advanced by 41 again and I hit my target.
That will be the case with a hex-31 pokemon.
The number of the remainder is the number of the stat which the characteristic will refer to, unless that stat is not perfect. In that case, travel clockwise around the loop to the first perfect stat you come across, and that one will determine the characteristic.
So if the pokemon has perfect HP, speed, special attack and special defence, remainders of 1, 2 and 3 will all give you "alert to sounds".

20 Chatters: Frame 524
30 Chatters: Frame 546
40 Chatters: Frame 561
50 Chatters: Frame 608 (Possible outlier?)
