An animated battle for you!

Wow, I like it. I like the bold shapes and corners (like his shoulders, the background, and the light). The pokemon look like "team rocket pokemon" too. Great Interpretation. And now that I think about it, a lot of the RBY trainers held whips. That is pretty odd looking back; definitely a darker tone of pokemon. I wouldn't expect to see whips in any of the recent games.

Oh man, brilliant. For some reason this rough, gritty style of RBY doesn't feel like a reimagining, but really true to form. Great work once again :)

The expression and Raticate for me are the pluses!

I second that. Just by the way his mouth droops and his eyes glare makes him look like a scoundrel. The Raticate and Zubat are equally as good. Zubat kind of reminds me of the bat bomb they were developing during World War II. :p

He reminds me of a character you'd see off of Scooby-Doo, or Jasper and Horace from 101 Dalmatians.

This has to be one of my favorites. I love it. When you're done with your Trainer series, I'd love to get them framed and hung up somewhere! :)

This is going back quite aways, but that is the most adorable Nidorina I have ever seen!!! The renderings of Lass and Bug Catcher are my two favorites :3 Beedrill has never looked so cute <33

A rare non-Pokemon update. I've been playing Mother 3 and sketched up a few of the characters on Photoshop.

Is that Kumatora? Not that there is any official art of her other than the pixelly sprite version, but she looks a bit older/plumper than normal, albeit fan-produced, interpretations of her.

I have no problem with it stylistically, but I wonder if there was any reasoning behind that particular interpretation?

To be honest, the shape of her chin and cheek was a byproduct of her being situated behind Boney, who I ultimately cropped out of the picture. As for her age, I just assumed she was likely in her late teens. I haven't finished it yet, but they haven't yet mentioned how old she is.

Well, there is a change in her sprite from the time you first meet her to the time where she actually enters the main party (If I recall correctly her dress is slightly different and her sprite is one pixel higher; yeah, it's not easy to detect), so she's still a growing girl during the story, and you later do get an indication of approximately how far back her childhood was from someone who knows about that time, so you can figure her age to be about 18 to 19 years or so.

Kind of jumped the gun here, but designing evos are fun, so here are a couple of rough drawings that probably won't be elaborated on.

Wanted him to retain some of that happy-go-lucky attitude that made him so popular in the first place.

The shoulder skulls were to suggest Cerberus without going all Dodrio on him.

So CAP5, Stratagem, is well and out, so I've gone and drawn it for consistency's sake in the style of the other CAPmon I've drawn.

Also, because I haven't posted an animation in awhile:

It's not Pokemon related, but I've gone on tangents in this thread pretty often anyway.
