AP Exams

Took BC Calc and Lit for the fuck of it since I took regular english. I think I got a 4-5 on calf, literally no clue on Lit because I knew nothing about it going in.
 
wrote lit and comp today and I think I got a 4, possibly a 5.

I'm writing Euro History but I'm writing it on the 24th because everyone in my school writing it(all 8 of us :O) have important things tomorrow. I feel very confident about it and think I can get a 4 or 5 unless the essay topics are really bad.

I'm also writing Physics B on Monday, this is the one that I feel the most nervous about. I understand the material but actually using it has been a weak point for me. I think I can get a 3 but maybe if they don't have to many magnetism questions I can get a 4. If I'm lucky
 
Haha, AP's. Makes me glad I'm not in high school anymore, even if final exams are something similar.

I won't partake in any academic wankery, but I just want to say, SCREW SPANISH. That is all.
 
glad I'm done with APs.

I remember the physics C one was really hard. I got a 5 on both parts but had to teach myself most of E&M and study for days at a time.

I never did well on the English ones though. Could never figure out what the passages/poems really meant
 
Taking AP Euro today, so hopefully it'll go well.

I've taken a bunch of practice tests and gotten 4's or 5's so I'm hoping to stick with that!

I know there are a few other smogoners who are taking euro so it'll be cool to hear what you guys think of it :)
 
I'm taking my Human Geography one next Friday, took the practice test today and guessed on at least 3/4 test. I'm gonna fail this test most definitely.
 
My school offers a grand total of 3 AP classes: Calc AB, US History, and Physics B. I took Calc, and am almost positive I got a five. I'm taking Physics on Monday, and while I'm mostly confident, we haven't finished with fluids yet, and haven't even started on modern Physics. We're going to have to do like 4 hours straight of intense Physics on Sunday.

After the AP, though, a bunch of us are going to take the rest of the day off to watch The Avengers.
 
Just got out of APUS, much easier than I expected. The multiple choice asked about stupid questions imo (way too much on society/culture, WAY too little about important events like WW1/WW2/Civil War), but I'm pretty good with remembering names and details so I should be fine. The essays were pretty easy as well, typical questions about French/Indian War, causes of civil war, cold war policy, etc. My best advice is watch your time on the essays and make sure you stay on topic and relate points back to your thesis.

Taking Chem, BC, World and Gov next year. Any tips on those at all?
 
took APUSH last year, got a 5.

this year i already took the BC calc test.
Monday I have the Bio test which shouldn't be too bad.
Tuesday is both US Gov and comparative gov, which are going to be terrible.

Next year I plan on doing Chinese, Music Theory, Psychology, and maybe English if I'm feeling up to it.
 
Took Calculus BC, Statistics, European History, U.S. History, and Physics C throughout my High School career. Got 5's on all of them except for U.S. History, which I got a 4 on, but got full credit in all the equivalent college classes.

I will gladly help out anyone here who is having trouble with Physics C in particular. I am approaching my senior year in college so it has been a while since I have taken them, but I have taken a few higher level Physics courses recently that have made some of it seem remedial in comparison.

Really though I would like to emphasize that while stressful now, AP Exams are a great thing if you pick the right school. Having all of this credit done while still in High School adds a lot more flexibility to your schedule when you get into college.
 
Schooled that APUSH; studying is for losers. So glad this week is over, 3 exams man -.-' Still got language, but I don't really care to much, plus I've been doing pretty well on the practices. Smogon is too humbling, all these smart people.

I'm in Physics C too; my class has actually covered orbits, angular stuff, harmonic motion, and E&M - honestly, orbits/angular movement/harmonics aren't that bad, and magnetism is very similar to electricity. Still, if you haven't covered anything but electricity, you might want to consider getting a refund. :/

Took the BC test a few days ago; imo it was pretty easy. The first part of the multiple choice was tricky at times but nothing too difficult, and the open-ended was pretty straightfoward. Lit, on the other hand, was significantly harder. I don't think I did terribly - I'm hoping for a 4 or a 5 - but it was much more challenging.

I've got both Physics exams on Monday (kill me), French on Tuesday (kill me again), and Statistics on Wednesday (please kill me).
 
APUSH is down; man that first FRQ was like a gift from heaven and the MC was really not bad at all.

I have Physics and English left and then that's pretty much the end of my school year.
 
Already took Psychology and Calc BC this week and feel very confident about my performance on both of them.

Have Biology on Monday and Lang on Wednesday, given up on the former while I feel completely ready for the latter (it's really way too easy lol).

At any rate, relevant stuff because why not. I took Euro last year (5), Chem on Monday (probably 3), Calc AB on Wednesday (4 or 5, not quite sure), US today (EASY 5). I'mma get boned by Physics B next Monday (because I SUCK at physics), then get a 5 on English Language/Composition on Wednesday. So yeah :P
 
AP Euro was literally the most painful experience ever. Might as well not have studied the French Revolution, World War I, World War II, or anything of any significance in European History at all. Because they were more concerned with who wrote a book about nose picking or something....

I mean I'm pretty sure the DBQ didn't even ask a question...so it was more like a document based statement??? i dont even know.

The multiple choice went from "oh god this is so easy gonna ace this" to "is this the ap euro exam or ap earth science im not really sure but..." or how about all those awesome questions about conferences and treaties and declarations no one has ever even heard of unless they live in the small island country of Ashglaskehglawkehklsdhl.

literally every practice test actually made sense, you know...it focused on everything that was actually important. this one was really just concerned with everything that probably wasn't even included in the textbook!!

pretty sure i didn't even need to be in euro at all for the entire year and still would've gotten the same grade lmao

it was really something..
 
I hate to be that guy, but those random philosophers are important. If you read them (our made us) you will find out yes they are boring as shit, but there writings greatly influenced revolutions, parenting, psychology, economics, government systems, pornography ect.


I’m pretty sure everything was in the text book, I read 70% of the shit (we skipped the Roman empire lol) and even if I got it wrong I recognized 95% of the shit. There were like 3 or 4 questions that I had no clue about, and honestly I probably skimmed those sections of the book and really didn't learn it (like the industrial revolution shit).
 
I agree with the APUSH being quite easy, although it lacked (outside of the free response) my favorite politician, Henry Clay. Also, anyone have good ways to study for the Music Theory AP?

I don't want to be harsh, but you're either going to get a 5 or you're going to get a 3. Practice your melodic dictations and sight singing by listening to simple music and practicing with a piano. If you haven't learned how to do harmonic dictation, you might as well not worry about it, it's kind of hard. They always ask one multiple choice question about pentatonic scales, but don't stress it. You should have been doing ear-training over the course of the year. Main thing to remember is that you're probably going to be stressed for time during the written section, so go fast and then check your errors, don't be painstaking otherwise you won't finish.
