Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've been playing for 1 year and have played in tours such as the Smogon Classics, in which I finished with 12 points. I've also played in SMLT and have peaked at 1712 elo, which sadly just barely doesn't qualify me for playoffs. I feel like I'm inconsistent when it comes to battling. In some games, I play extremely well, and in others I play extremely badly. My goal is to consistently perform well in tournaments such as the Smogon Classics in which I want to make playoffs as well as SM and ORAS tours, which I thoroughly enjoy playing as well.
I'm also active on showdown and am willing to put in the time and effort with my potential tutor.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I was a casual observer of the competitive singles scene for a few months last year, before I began playing seriously on Smogon in various formats and tiers (Ubers is my most played and best understood format, followed by Gen 4 OU). I applied for a Gen 4 Smogon tournament several months ago and was lined up to face them, but several issues (including my misunderstanding of GMT and using SmogTours instead of main) stopped us and they took an activity win. I was demoralized and I no longer felt the interest to play in tours.
However, after a break, my interest has been revitalized, and I've been slowly trying to climb the Gen 4 ladder while trying to learn the format more intimately. I'm also interested in the ADV format and RBY, who have not just interesting metagames but passionate communities.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I started pokemon in Gen 8 OU. Got to around 1800 ELO at peak. I then started becoming a casual towards SV, but then became a community member at Ubers UU and the UM scene(ended up getting my first tournament win there as well as CAva from there).

However, my involvement in the higher powerlevel tiers resulted in me becoming somewhat ass in the OU scene as I failed to keep up with the metagame and started expecting too much breaking from my breakers/sweepers in the regular powered tiers(this is a result of focusing on high powerlevel tiers like UUbers and AG lol).This is kind of why I want to focus on an old gen. Primarily because it is less evolving at the moment. I would like to focus on XY and BW because XY was the first tour with mega evolutions, and it feels like an interesting tier to try out. BW also appears interesting bc of the perma weather situation.

Have had wildly inconsistent results in ADV tours: had decent runs in Rev 2 (5-3 with 2 act wins), and Old Money Open 2 (Revcord tour, 6-2 with 2 act wins), while losing quickly in other tours, most recently Rev3. Recently hit my ladder peak in the 1600s, looking to get better at teambuilding and making more consistent plays.

Since then I've been playing RBY OU and ADV OU on ladder, as I grew up with both gens, and entered an event for each (neither were OU). I'd still consider myself more of a modern VGC player but I really want to git gud in old gen and start entering tours. I'm also interested in learning more about old gen to improve my fundamentals, as yall are just built different with the superior construction. Some of the smartest people I've played against since I started comp Pokemon.

Played Smogon Discord PL SS slot with a 4-3 Record. Participated in Smogon Masters with a 6-3 Record. Prior accommodations include: 3rd in a 64 man double elim & 1st in a 128+ man double elim in lesser sections. Two team tour wins in lesser sections. I started Smogon playing SS tiers and now I would like to seriously learn to build and play SS OU instead of leeching off team dumps. I have been competent enough to catch and beat more respected players but I feel my understanding of the game or least this tier could use work to avoid being streaky.

I started playing since 2023 and have tried various metas a bit, like smou and ss ou.1 year later I stepped into godly gift, played some ladder games and began entering indivudal tournaments. I was also drafted for some teamtours like OMCL last year. Recently i wanna explore metas outside oms and have been trying various OU.I have played about 300 games but can only peak around 1350. I think my teambuilding skills and gameplay needs improvement, also i wanna learn how to play well in no teampreview meta.
Since I'm from China, I'd prefer chinese tutor so that we can communicate better. But I am also glad to communicate with english speaker which is why i write this in english.
