(Archive) Small Objective Changes Thread

http://smogon.com/dp/pokemon/vaporeon

He's saying that the description in the Wish Support set talks about a different EV spread than the one actually in the set, i.e. 188 HP EVs instead of the actual set's 248 HP EVs. Also, the 248 HP EVs in the set do not create a Leftovers number, so the set comments need to be rewritten not only to reflect the correct EV spread, but also to note that the current EV spread, with 248 HP EVs, does not create a Leftovers number.

248 HP was discussed in the Subjective Changes thread and the current spread listed was shown to be more EV efficient. I have changed Vaporeon to reflect this now.

In Typhlosion's analysis, in the Sunny Day Set AC, there are some damage calculations. One of them says:

252 SpA Timid Typhlosion + Life Orb Fire Blast vs 252 HP / 56 SpD Careful Umbreon = 89% - 105%

But Umbreon is not a UU Pokémon, so that should be removed. There are also mentions of Froslass in the SubPetaya set and in the Sunny Day set too that has to be removed.

Thanks Alonso, eliminated all mentions of Umbreon, Froslass, and Raikou

The Milotic analysis page: http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/milotic

Milotic's OU counters are pretty straightforward as it falls to the STAB moves of Zapdos, Celebi, Jolteon, Shaymin, the Rotom appliances, and Breloom, although Ice Beam will punish a good number of these Pokemon. Other bulky Waters will most certainly need Hidden Power Electric and Toxic to deal with Milotic, Tentacruel standing out as a decent counter due to its high Special Defense. Cresselia with Charge Beam and Blissey can also outstall Milotic. Grass Knot acts as the bane to this heavy bulky water's existence. Keep in mind that Milotic's above average defenses by no means make it invincible

It's missing a full stop at the end.

In Blaziken's analysis, in the Agility set:

This set aims to take advantage of Blaziken's wallbreaking abilities to sweep late-game with Agility. Fire Blast and Superpower are nearly unresisted in UU, save for a couple ofPokemon, such as Slowbro and Moltres, who are hit hard by Hidden Power. To use this set effectively, send out Blaziken on a weak or harmless attack and start wailing on the opponent's walls. Once a wall is in KO range, use Agility on the switch and begin to sweep.

There should be a space there.

In the first paragraph of Donphan UU Team Options, there is a mention of Froslass:

Donphan is a Pokémon who certainly appreciates entry hazard support since it forces many switches. Donphan is capable of setting up Stealth Rock on its own; however, Donphan can be paired with other Stealth Rock users, such as Uxie, if you'd rather have the fourth moveslot open for another attack. Spikes support works even better than Stealth Rock, since incoming foes will lose a quarter of their health max each time upon switching in, provided they aren't part Flying or have the Levitate ability. Froslass is a good choice to consider for laying down Spikes, since it is faster than the majority of Underused and can act as a spinblocker if need be. Dual screen support could be of use for both of the sets, but it is largely unneeded as Donphan already has a massive Defense stat and won't be switching into special attacks anytime soon anyway.

http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/bronzong

In the Bronzong analysis, the Team Options state Bronzong's EV's survive Spec'd Salamence's Fire Blast. While this is true, what is the point? Salamence is no longer OU.

The EVs listed for the Standard Wall and Trick sets may look a bit strange; however, they fully maximize Bronzong's potential. The HP is maximized because not only does it help Bronzong's below-average base HP get a boost, but also allows Bronzong to take four Seismic Tosses (with Leftovers recovery). The Attack EVs allow Bronzong to OHKO Choice Scarfed Gengar and Weavile and 2HKO Tyranitar with Gyro Ball. They also allow Bronzong to 2HKO most Starmie and Rotom-A after Stealth Rock damage. The Special Defense and Defense EVs maximize Bronzong's defenses, preventing it from being OHKOed by MixApe's Flamethrower or +Speed Nature Heatran's Fire Blast. They also allow Bronzong to survive a SpecsMence's Fire Blast.

There's a slight typo error in the fourth paragraph of Team Options for Uber Kyogre:
Kyogre's number one enemy, Latias, is a very common sight on Uber stall teams. Because of this, Blissey will often be seen with Latias that are on stall teams, which poses a huge problem for Kyogre, as these two Pokémon are able to wall all of Kyogre's moves. To solve this issue, using Tickle Wobbuffet with either Tyranitar and Scizor can destroy Blissey with the Tickle+Pursuit combination. Tyranitar and Scizor can also beat Latias depending on its offensive moves. Dialga is another common teammate with Latias. Specially defensive Bulk Up Dialga is taken care of by Groudon, while special attacking Dialga is walled by Blissey. Choice Band Garchomp can OHKO any Dialga that has not used Bulk Up with Earthquake, while Choice Scarf Garchomp can revenge kill a Choice Scarf Dialga with Earthquake if it is at 82% of its health or lower.
I think it should be "or", instead of "and".

EDIT: Another one that needs correction...
This is the last paragraph from Uber Salamence's "Rayquaza's Dance Partner" set, but only after clicking "Team Options & Additional Comments":
Wobbuffet is heavily recommended as a Salamence partner because of these problems, and for other reasons. Wobbuffet is able to revenge kill Choice Scarf Garchomp, Choice Scarf Gengar, Choice Scarf Shaymin-S, and Choice Scarf Mewtwo thanks to Counter, Mirror Coat, and Shadow Tag, and can also defeat Choice Band Scizor that are locked into Bullet Punch. Tickle Wobbuffet can be paired with a Pursuit user (such as Scizor or Metagross) to effectively defeat Lugia. Finally, Wobbuffet can set up both Salamence and Rayquaza by Encoring a weak attack or support move. This is particularly notable against a weakened Groudon, which Wobbuffet can take advantage of by Encoring Earthquake, giving Salamence the perfect opportunity to set up. Scizor, Metagross, and other offensive Steel-types will work well with Salamence due to their ability to deal a heavy amount of damage to Garchomp that is locked into Outrage, and for their ability to take Scizor's Bullet Punch. Scizor is especially notable for being able to Pursuit Mewtwo, Gengar and Shaymin-S that are locked into an Ice-type attack that was aimed at Salamence, and for its ability to defeat Choice Scarf Darkrai. Metagross and Tyranitar are also capable of dealing with Choice Scarf Gengar and Choice Scarf Mewtwo with Pursuit. Dialga not only sports a helpful resistance to Bullet Punch, but can also can use a mixed set with Bulk Up to lure in Groudon and Skarmory, only to crush them with Draco Meteor and a sun-boosted Fire Blast respectively. Groudon's 140 base Defense stat allows it to take Scizor's Bullet Punch with ease, and is also capable of OHKOing Skarmory switch-ins with Overheat. Kyogre can take on both Lugia's Ice Beams and Scizor's Bullet Punches, and threaten blast them with its rain-boosted STAB Surfs. Kyogre will also have no problem switching into Choiced Ice-type attacks from Darkrai, Mewtwo and Shaymin-S. Finally, Mewtwo is not only capable of setting up on Lugia via Taunt and Calm Mind, but can also act as a good Scizor lure with Flamethrower or Fire Blast.
If I'm correct, I think the above portion is redundant. Possibly correct is "can also", without the additional "can".

E..hehe...I also spotted some minor typos...
This one is from OU Shaymin's Leech Seed set, paragraph #4:
This Shaymin functions best in a Fire/Water/Grass defensive core, as its weaknesses and resistances neatly complement that of the core. It provides team support in the form of Leech Seed, which cushions blows and increases Shaymin's overall survivability, and is able to beat a number of specific threats (Rotom-A, Hippowdon, Vaporeon, and Swampert, for example). Also, unlike other sets, this Shaymin can consistently trouble most Blissey. If a Fire-type is used, Heatran is again the best option. There is a wide range of possilibities for a Water-type partner: Vaporeon, Swampert, Suicune, and defensive Gyarados work the best. All of the aforementioned Pokemon are excellent at tanking hits and have their own advantages. Swampert has Roar and Stealth Rock, and also carries an Electric immunity (but beware of Electric-types using Hidden Power Grass, though Shaymin walls them in that case bar Zapdos and Rotom-H). Gyarados counters Fighting-types and Scizor effectively with Intimidate and its Flying-typing, especially with its natural bulk invested in. Vaporeon and Suicune are both very bulky as well. Vaporeon can support the team with Wish, while Suicune makes for a sturdy set-up sweeper.
I think the mistake's obvious enough ;)

Another one from Uber Shaymin-S' Choice Specs set, from paragraph #3(?):
Not many Pokémon can take Choice Specs Shaymin-S’s powerful Seed Flares, but the Pokémon who can will generally be Choice Specs Shaymin-S’s biggest problems.
I think this one's a bit confusing, but probably the correct one is: "who can, will generally be". Maybe add a comma?

on Seel's Counter area, it mentions that "Due to its unique typing, Chinchou gets a special mention for being able to resist both of Seel's STAB attacks and threaten with its own". Seel only gets STAB on one attack type, and this line would be redundant if it's referring to access to both Surf and Waterfall.
