Hi, I've been out of the game for a while, and I was wondering if anything new has happened since the time lati@s were being testing for OU. this can be anything like new sets, news on competitor, etc. Thanks in advance.

Not sure what you mean by "since." Latias hasn't been voted on and Latios hasn't even been tested yet. That's really recent stuff (like present day recent).

Can Steel-type Pokemon be poisoned by Twineedle/Poison Point/Toxic Orb? I always thought this was impossible, but I read somewhere on another site it's not, so I'd like to know the truth...
As said, Toxic Orb doesn't, I myself have been the victim of TrickOrbAchi.

Iirc, Twineedle did in GSC. It's a bug move, so Steels are not imune, and in GSC when it gets the poison side effect it does poison. Again, iirc, that was removed in ADV, but somone should check it.

Poison Point is also a no.

If Twineedle still poisons, it will be able to poison steels iirc

It's like how Ground types can be paralyzed via Body Slam and co, but then again some types can't be affected by certain statuses like Fire types and burn..

No, there's a difference. Steel is coded as always being immune to the Poison status or against Poison type moves in D/P/Pt. Thunder Wave, if I recall, was distinctly coded as a move with zero base power but with a 100% chance of inflicting the Paralyze status, and is distinct in this way from other status moves like Hypnosis (which, if it functioned like Thunder Wave did, would never have an effect against Dark types).

I'd post this in the 3rd gen forums but it isn't so easy to get a reply there, so here it is:

In Pokemon XD, what is the best method for resetting pokemon? I have an idea of how it might go, but I don't think the way I'm thinking of is how most people do it, so I'd like to know.

Psycho Shift is a gimmick at best.

What SAtk investment is required for a Hasty, LO Flygon to OHKO Gliscor with Draco Meteor, with SR up?

Even with max SpA, it fails to OHKO all of the time (76%-90%), assuming Gliscor has 252 HP.

Edit: 198 will OHKO if Gliscor has no HP investment.

To build on what Veedrock posted:

Are you looking for a guarantee or a chance? You're not going to get a guarantee on most Gliscor:

Hasty 252 SpA Flygon LO Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP Gliscor:
271-321 damage
75.66 - 90.68%

You're looking at roughly a 20.5% chance of an OHKO with SR. :(

BTW, to guarantee the OHKO with SR against min HP Gliscor variants, you'll need 180 SpA EVs.

Knowing me I probably already asked this but whatever.

When holding a plate, does Arceus get STAB and the plate boost? Or just STAB?

Arceus gets the STAB and the plate boost, IIRC, the plate boost stacks with the STAB boost, effectively giving a move like judgement 180 base power as long as you equip a plate with it.

That is true, albeit misleading. "It's a 180 power Judgement" yes, but with no item boost, co you can't compare Arceus's Judgement to, say, Donphan's Earthquake or something random like that because Donphan can hold an item on top of that.

It's the same way that "90 power bullet punch is more powerful than Sucker Punch" is misleading.

Everybody has suggested the Suicide Lead for my Froslass, but I read that it isn't very good in OU--Can someone give me a Froslass moveset meant somewhat for OU?

And can you legitimately ev an Articuno for use in a Nintendo Tournament??? You get it at fifty, right?

it's not that hard to accomplish.

use vitamins for any stat you want up to 100.

then equip your entire team with exp. share, while your Cuno has pokerus and the appropriate power item.

then battle the correct low level pokemon until EVs are achieved.

I have both Deoxys and a Manaphy Egg waiting for me in the Pokemart. Deoxys is on a Wondercard, Manaphy Egg is not. Would I still have room to get both a Shaymin and Regigigas Wondecard? It's four Pokes in the Mart, but only three Wondercards.

What's the easiest/quickest way to rack up a lot of money? Is it just busting through the Elite 4 with an over-powered Pokemon and an Amulet Coin, or is there a better way?

After you have Heatran, go south of Hearthome to the two socialites (two old people, right across from each other). Give your head pokemon the Amulet coin and use the vs. seeker to battle them. You get 24,000 for each one you defeat (so nearly 50,000 for both). Quickest way available.
