So If I use a starter that has mimic and my opponent uses a a swampert for example. Swampert uses Stealth Rock and I use Mimic do I also use Stealth rock of just get stealth rock to use at a later time? And would you have to be slower then the pokemon who used mimic?

You'd get Stealth Rock added to your moves but you wouldn't use it that turn.

On my Emerald game I get the "internal battery" message at startup. If I delete my save file and start a new one, will this message go away?

I don't think so. I had the same problem in the past, and I solved it only by replacing the battery. And you'll probably lose your save file anyway.

The site's Little Cup Analysis. Read a few of the warstories going around in Stark too for some ideas on teams and what pokemon work well.

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place! What would you suggest is the best EV spread for a Perish Trapper Mismagius?
- 252 HP / 148 Def / 110 SpDef
- 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpDef

Wouldn't mind reasoning behind it as well!

Well, are you running sub? if you have mean look, perish song, protect, sub. Then you biggest worry is taunt. I'd recommend, 252 hp, 4 SpD, 252 spe, with a +spd nature & lefties. The idea is youd bring her in on a wall or special attacker, sub on the switch then, trap, perish song, protect/sub, sub/protect, switch.

If you opt out of sub in exchange for an attack, then I'd run lum berry or lefties. 252 hp, 148 def, 110 SpD, w a +Def nature, so you can take a hit (or in this case 3) from either end (att or satt respectively) without running into any trouble. The lum berry is so a status doesnt ruin your fun. Burn/toxic is the least of your worries. But paralyzed or asleep before you set up and she's just fodder. Keep in mind, that even with those Def investments you still dont wanna take a stab hit. And w only one stall move you may just die before you get set up.

Alternativily if you wanna run, 252 hp, 40 def, 216 sdef, +SpD nature do the same as above and just switch in on a Special attackers when there are few regular attackers left in play and (slowly) clean house. The downside is you dont wanna have her stuck as your last guy in play, because (on shoddy at least) you cant perish song if its the opponents last guy.

Long and the short. It depends when you wanna bring her in play; Spd for early game before anything is set up, Def for anytime (but you'll p'ably only get her in once), and Sdef for late game (once all the Physical attackers are gone)

does psycho shift remove the status from the user while giving it to the opponent or does the user keep the status effect as well???

When breeding for IV's should I pick only parents with 31's first and go for random chance to hit another, or just keep taking the highest IV's possible and upgrade from there?

Following from that, could it be possible to breed a Togepi with the moves Psycho Shift and Nasty Plot, providing that the father is a Honchkrow with PS bred from a Xatu or something?

Breeding question.

I'm aiming for a 31 / x / x / 31 / 31 / 31, and I'm using two x / x / x / 31 / 31 / 31 parents, as according to the breeding guide this yields the highest chance of getting what I want. Is it better to soft-reset or mass-hatch?

Probably been asked a billion times before.

In Platinum, does the Rotom key unlock all the formes of Rotom or are they already pre-unlocked? And will I need to go to an event to obtain said key if it is needed to unlock the Rotom formes?

Yes, the secret key unlocks all the new forms. For the japanese version it has been distributed via wifi, we'll see for the US version.
