I was EV training my 26/21/29/31/31/31 Togepi to 252HP/152SpA/104SpD

I counted it all, swear I did it correctly and ended up going into a level 100 battle on WiFi to double check. I entered in the stats and the EVs I thought I had given it and it told me the IVs were 26/21/29/30/31/31, one off of what it should be.

Any idea how I go about fixing this? =o

@ Eeveeskitty: I would say attack, speed, hp, and either defense or special defense would be the 4 most important stats for a normal dd dragonite. Defense over special defense if you want a higher likelihood of surviving ice shards, special defense over defense if you have a habit of switching dragonite into grass, fire and water moves.

Awesome, I'll probably go Special Defence since Defense is harder to breed(if I recall properly...).

HP is being a pain to breed through...

Wipe the EVs clean with the EV-reducing berries and go into a level 100 battle. See where that gets you.

Level 100 Battle Stats: 309/95/204/256/246/142
Base IV: 26/21/29/31/31/31
IV after EVs added (252 HP, 152 SpA, 104 Spd): 26/21/29/30/31/31
What IVs should be after Evs are added: 26/21/29/31/31/31

One hundred percent positive the base IVs were correct. I am assuming I miscounted one battle while EV training. I also am positive I had a 66 HP Dragon, while putting the current stats into the IV calculator I end up with a Grass HP. Meaning the EVs were messed up some place.

If the stats and IVs are correct, then you only have 504 EVs. You should be able to just get those last four SpA EVs and be done with it. The berry would probably be the safest option, though.

All the EVs were used, I checked and got the Effort Ribbon. I think I have an extra 1-3 EV points in HP... -_- Gonna berry down to 100, thanks >_>

Will there be an official tourney in Australia ever? Because us Aussies are missing out. I'm preparing a team for when it comes.

does the ability sheild dust work as a spin blocker?

No. Shield Dust is an ability that prevents added effects. It essentially negates all possible side-effects whose probability would be boosted by Serene Grace; any side-effect (Paralysis from Body Slam, for instance) would be stopped.

Maybe. They've started giving us Aussies events now (yay:D) but it might be a while before Nintendo realises we are missing out on tournaments.

We had the JAO and another one when DP came out which I missed but inclusion for the world vgc would've been nice :(

Is there a thread where you can get advice on a team like before you make it or something like that? I was planning on making a UU/NU Normal team but I need some help. I have six pokes in mind to use though.

I would just post on RMT (rate my team) and say it's not definatly decided, and you would like some advice/help on it. Be sure to abide my the rules of RMT though.

Any suggestions for what to fit on my team? I currently have a NP Sweeper Togekiss as the start, and some I like from OU are: Dragonite (But seems to be no reason to play this over Salamance), Gengar, Jolteon, Starmie, Azelf, Blissey, Cressellia, Flygon, Skarmory. And some I like from UU or above: Gallade, Gardevoir, Milotic.

So, any tips on which of those would add onto my team? I know I'm going to have to use some I don't like so much, but oh well. =P

Any suggestions for this? I know it's a tough and somewhat biased question, but I would like to hear from you guys. I am leaning towards training a Gengar next (Are they as much of a nightmare as Togepis to breed? Please no lol)

Thanks, finally someone responding.
Gyarados@Leftovers
Impish nature
252HP/60Atk/198Def
~Rest
~Sleep Talk
~Waterfall
~Avalanche
What about...
Gyarados@Choice Band
Adamant nature
74HP/252Atk/184Spe
~Waterfall
~Ice Fang
~Stone Edge
~Earthquake
I also noticed offensive (Adamant) Gyarados doesn't benefit much from max speed, as it'll outurn the same stuff with 236Spe, so why not use 16HP/252Atk/6SpD/236Spe (6SpD for an odd HP stat)?
