Where can I catch Lv 100 Magikarp?

According to Serebii, you should fish in the Resort Area with a Super Rod.

I'll third that question about why a NU Ladder doesn't exist. I don't even play Shoddy, but I still want to see people try out NU strategies.

As for the Gengar question, they should be much easier to breed than Togekiss because you can breed them even at the earliest stage.

@ Coldeye: I wouldn't use choice band Gyara because of the stealth rock weakness. Choice users need to switch in and out all the time.

For Jynx I would choose lovely kiss as it guarantees a calm mind if it hits. The last coverage move depends on the rest of your team and what tier this is for. In ou, I would go with hp fight/focus blast to hit steels. Don't know uu well enough, but from what I hear Registeel is the only steel type to be worried about there, in which case psychic could be of some consideration (though this might leave you vulnerable to slowbro, in which case you would want shadow ball...)

As for NU, the ladder just hasn't been created yet. The UU ladder is still relatively new; the NU ladder will come eventually.

I just bred a vulpix in platinum with hypnosis, under the assumption that hypnosis was a 70 accurate move. But the game is telling me it's 60. Is there variation between platinum and pearl/diamond with regards to this move?

Okay, long question, because I have difficulty explaining myself clearly.

On the GTS in Platinum, is there any reason I can't see all the requirements that people are requesting? For example, there is this Honchkrow I needed, and it was asking for a Magnezone. It just says "Magnezone". Nothing else. I evolve a Magneton and try to offer it, but it's grayed out. This happens for like 3 other different Pokemon, such as a Victreebel for something that I forget. I finally get tired and get on Pearl and try there. It turns out, the whole requirements are >level 70 Magnezone and level 100 Victreebel, but Platinum failed to show me this, and instead only put "Male Victreebel." I was wondering why this happens (grawr so annoying).

Another thing I noticed: The first time on the GTS, only 3 results would show. But after testing a trade with a Yanma of mine for a Magikarp to see if my GTS was funky, my results starting showing up at 5. I have a hunch if I do another trade, it'll go up to 7, but it's been difficult finding a decent one as people are asking rarities for stupid things (made even more difficult by unseen level restrictions). Do you suppose that once I get 7 results to show, my next trade will reveal the level restrictions? I think this is stupid, but I don't even know if it's right. HALP.

I told you I was wordy.

Is there an easy place to level? Right now I am doing E4 runs, and they are slow.

I am trying to level up a 91+ Meowth Pickup team. lol.

Which version? The Elite Four is your best bet in D/P, but in Platinum, the Elite Four powers up to a max of level 78, not to mention you can fight Gym Leaders and in-game partners in the 60s in the Battleground. Once you beat the Elite Four 20 times, your Rival on weekends can get as strong as level 85 with his starter.

Or, if you have too many Battle Points lying around, buy a bunch of Rare Candies for 48 apiece. ;D

I am on Platinum Scept. I am doing the E4 as well as daily trainers in the pub place. I guess I am on the right track, will just take awhile haha.

You could find a Lucky Egg which doubles experience, or import a Meowth from a 3rd gen. game or trade with someone else to gain boosted experience. They really speed it up (although if you're quite far already, it's best to just keep going).

I have four Meowths at level 41 heh, I didn't think things through and should have got them from my other version...at least caught them there.

I had a question about focus punch that I was told to ask here.

situation : Breloom is behind a sub. I attack the sub and break it on the turn he charges. Next turn I attack him expecting to kill him, and he outspeeds me. How come this happened?

I think you were mistaken in how things happened. Focus Punch works like this:

1. Priority charge. The charge up phase goes before everything else.
2. The enemy makes a move.
3. Focus Punch attacks (if focus was not lost) at the end of the turn, counting as a move for the turns executed above.

The next turn is just a normal turn. I don't know how it works on Shoddy, but that's how it is in in-game.

The whole "Focus Punch" thing is 1 move. Although it may seem like the enemy is getting two attacks, one of those is charging up. The actual attack that's unleashed is a -3 priority.

And yes, it works that way on Shoddy Battle also.

That is how it works on shoddy too. FP will always go last unless the move your opponent uses also has negative priority. For example, if you use focus punch on a turn when your opponents Pokemon uses Whirlwind, you will charge and hit them, then they will execute their move.
