Question about AR cloning:

If I traded a poke of mine to someone to clone for me, would the original be altered at all? i.e. would the original still count as having been untouched by cheating devices?
After it's been cloned, there isn't really an identifiable original. They are identical in every respect, so they are both the original, and no, neither is altered by the cloning.

Does Leaf Guard prevent your partner from using Will-O-Wisp, Sleep Power, etc on you?

No. If sun is out the move will fail, but you can still target them.

Hey, I have been searching for hours for a Dome Fossil. I need Kabuto to breed Rapid Spin onto a Tentacruel.

Is it possible to get a Dome Fossil in Diamond Verison?

Does anyone have one they would trade with me?

Thanks

Yes it is possible, but you need the national dex. If you want somebody to trade you, you'll need to ask in the Requests thread on the wifi board.

How does the move Mist work and would it work in coordination with Draco Meteor or Overheat in a double battle?

I'm under the impression that it just stops your opponent from lowering your stats and that you can still decrease them through your own moves, similar to how Clear Body works.

Shedinja @ Focus Sash
Wonder Guard
Brave Nature
252 ATK
Shadow Sneak
X-Scissor / Will-O-Wisp
Swords Dance
Protect

For doubles, should I run X-Scissor in case I come up solo against a normal type (which is unaffected by Shadow Sneak) or run Will-O-Wisp to stop any physical attackers from downing my paired Zapdos?

Serebii's website lists Pluck as dealing double-damage if the opponent is holding a Berry, but here on smogon no such effect is listed. Is Serebii's effect true, whether in addition to smogon's effect or not?

Serebii's wrong here in this case, I know they put it up when the game was still having data extracted so maybe there was an error in translating the effect, but it only has the berry-stealing effect. Would have been fun to have Pluck if Serebii was right though...

Is it passable to boost stats before baton passing that don't particularly help the offensive use of the initial (Baton Passer) Pokemon during its battle time?

Example: Boosting a Pokemon's ATK/DEF that doesn't have a physical attack, but has a high enough SP. ATK/SP. DEF to sweep effectively without the boost, before the decision to Baton Pass to a Pokemon where the ATK/DEF is more effective.

Yes, you can do that.

I'm having trouble with the GTS on Pokemon Platinum. I have successfully traded in the past by depositing my own Pokemon, but whenever I attempt to trade for anyone else's Pokemon, my Pokemon which meet their requirements are grayed out. I have tried clearing space in my party, putting the Pokemon I want to trade into my party, and have run into the issue enough times that I really don't think level requirement is the problem. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Is this a known bug, or am I really just unlucky with the level requirements? I think if I don't get a female Eevee to start my breeding chains soon, I'm going to explode.

This is a question about the tiering process. I thought about PMing Jumpman, but I reconsidered since it would probably annoy him and I don't even play Shoddy.

How does Stage 3 work? Will it be like what Smogon did with UU and dump all the suspects into one ladder, or will one at a time be quickly tested (i.e. Skymin for a while, then Garchomp, etc.)?

Okay, so before I mess up my EV training:

I go into a battle, leading with my level 10 Sneasel with Pokerus and Power Bracer. I'm fighting the guy with three lvl 30 Gyarados'. So, when I switch Sneasel out for Pokemon x and beat Gyarados 1, I'll get 4 attack EV's from the Gyarados and 8 attack EV's from the Power Bracer with Pokerus multiplier. And after I switch Sneasel out for the two other Gyarados', I will receive 36 attack EVs in total, from all 3 Gyarados.

Are my calculations correct? I can switch out my Sneasel in such a manner and get my 36 EV's?

You still get all the EVs as long as the Sneasel gains experience points.

Pikachu has higher attack stats while holding light ball, but Raichu has better everything else and has the added advantage of holding an item. Which is better?

There is no such thing as "better" in competitive Pokémon, though honestly I've seen more Pikachus because of the novelty value.

EDIT: What a waste of a 200th post.

do the different rotom appliences have different movepools? (besides overheat hydropump and the like)

Whats a good lead for a rain dance team?(OU)

bronzong@damp rock
{relaxed}
levitate
evs: 252 hp / 112 sdef / 96 def / rest in atk
- Gyro ball
- Rain dance
- Hypnosis
- Stealth rock

I found this one to be quite effective, especially considering rain negates bronzong's only weakness, fire.

If 2 pokemon (for example Hippo and Aboma) have weather inducing effects, is there any way to tell which will be the weather that remains if they are both leads?
