If I have a substitute up, and my opponent uses a move that would OHKO me and I then use counter (obviously its a physical attk) would my counter do the amount of damage the attack dealt to my substitute x2 or just the 1/4 of my HP x2

I am currently trying to get BP through the Battle Factory, so that I can start Ev'ing so the other Battle Frontier event will be easier, but I am finding it very difficult to get one streak done.

Can anybody give me any advice on how to battle more effectively in the Battle Factory please? Will be much appreciated.

How do you clone Pokemon in D/P?
Go into the GTS with the Pokemon you want to clone. Deposit the Pokemon onto the GTS and ask for something nobody will have, like a Lv. 100 female Togepi. When the little clock at the bottom goes around about 8 times, turn off the game. Depending on the speed of your Wi-Fi connection, fewer or more times than eight might work better, but you'll want to stay between 7 and 9. Quickly go back into the GTS and take your Pokemon back. Check if the Pokemon is also in your party, and if it is, it has been cloned. It can take many tries to get this to work.

Well, I can't offer much advice. Its totally random. But there are a few tidbits.
1. Many pokes in the Factory have unorthodox sets.
2. Lv.50 appears to be slightly easier(at least to me)
3. Make sure you pick a good lead, if you don't you'll be constantly swapping it over and over
4. Use normal skills, but realize that people in the Factory don't overpredict. If they have a Rapidash in on a Scizor, they'll always use a fire move most likely.

EDIT: Does anyone know the EVs and moves for Anti-Lead Arcanine in UU? I really need them and they're not on the analysis.

Yesterday i had a really good battle, and i saved it on my platinum recorder. The thing is, when i tried to upload the video i got a message saying this:
"There appears to be a problem with the recipient's pokemon. Data was not sent."
Does that mean my pokemon are hacked or the person i faced had hacked pokemon?

Is it possible to unlock the three Regis in Platinum without the special Regigigas? If not, are people trading them over WiFi on the Smogon Tradeboards so I could get one relatively easily?

Why does the Support Dragonite set have Dragon Pulse over Dragon Claw? I assume it's because the critters this Dragonite is trying to wall have lower SpDef than Def.

1. I finally reach and easily beat Palmer (2nd meeting), but after reaching him and continuing, will the random trainers be providing stronger and more variety of pokemon?

2. Do I get to battle Palmer again after 49th? If so, anything new to him?

The trainers will be tougher, yes.

And no, you won't meet Palmer again.

My question: What's the IRC channel for discussing UU?

Are people still giving out Manaphy eggs for free? Or at least trading for them? If so, where could I find that thread?

I don't think so. Manaphy eggs are a one-time deal; get them once from a spin-off game and transfer them once to one main-series cartridge. If you want a Manaphy, you'll have to trade for one, instead of obtaining an egg.

Hello? Can anyone answer?

Well, to be honest, I guess it can mean either. You should get your team hack-checked (or at least check for legal stats/moves); if it's not a problem with your team, it's got to be your opponent's.
