Looking for help on an EV spread for Jolly Gyarados. Maximum attack makes sense but does he need max speed as well? What's a good number to hit?

Just how gimmicky is Outrage Venusaur in either the OU or UU environment? Worth it for a sub/seed/SD set, or does Venusaur really need STAB coverage?

I'm not an expert, but STAB is always better and Venasaur can use other moves/movesets better than don't involve Outrage. Outrage obviously will be a nasty surprise to opposing ALtaria's but then, they can just bring out something to 1HKO you. Even behind a sub, you'll get owned quite quickly.

I don't think it's even worth it to try in OU. There are better pokes to do the job Outrage does.

I think the only thing Outrage is good for on a Venasaur is for surprise.

Not sure what the right place to ask this is, since this thread seems to be asking more about setups and such, but Just how up to date is the Tier list page? (located here: http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/) I ask because in policy review, they say things that allude to the unbanning of certain pokemon, and on the page i listed, they are still banned. help?

Well recently Cresselia and Porygon-Z were moved to UU and that list shows them as UU. So I would assume it's the most up to date list.

That list gets updated pretty fast. The analyses, though, take a little while to adjust to the metagame changes. For example, some UU analyses list Roserade as a teammate option, even though Roserade is now OU.

Overheat, Draco Meteor, Leaf Storm.. With STAB, they are all incredibly powerful. Even without STAB, they are still strong enough. It would simply be too "broken" if things like Latios, Salamence, Infernape, and whatever got to use a move with (140BP + (140/2) =) 210BP over and over again. They would OHKO way more Pokemon in succession then they would now, which would severely unbalance Pokemon.

The best 2 remedies to this problem are to use Mixed Sweepers with that as their only SpAtk using move, or to hold White Herb.

Sorry, but as far as I could tell, there is no Breeding Chain that can give BOTH Tickle and Curse. Curse I can get from Torterra, or Tickle from Omastar. Which one would you rather have? I think Curse is the more viable option, IMO, but it's your call. Of course, if I am wrong, please post a chain that will provide both of these moves. :)

Also, expect this later in the week, possibly the weekend. Just remind me when I hold the Giveaway.

Alright, my bad, just went looking through the move list for the 4 I like the most, didn't really pay attention to it lol, my bad! Yeah, keep curse, and put rest in there for tickle

Are there any weaknesses with this team?

Lead Screens Uxie
Shuca Heatran
Suicune
Salamence
Scarf/Spec Latias
Sub CM Jirachi

I'm playing against this in a tournament.

Maybe if you added the movesets and the ev spreads i could help you. You should keep in mind not everyone will remember the standard movesets. i.e. screens uxie could either carry memento, or u-turn.

Simple question: I just joined this site under the assumption I would be able to battle people(not shoddy). Now, how in the hell do I do that?

.....or maybe perhaps I was wrong?

White wolf to battle you can use shoody which i don think you want to
or you can go under the tornament secton i think its called wifi tornaments if you have a ds a pokemon game and wifi
and finaluy there is netbattle which is a worse shoddy in my IMO.

You can visit the Wi-Fi Subforum, there is a Battle Me thread.
But since you are banned from Serebii you must have screwed up big time lol

Well thank you, everyone.
Don't get the wrong idea though, i don't cheat. I just was "flaming" some 10yr old kid. He was so gangsta, that he reported me.

You can post in the "Battle Me" thread, or just get to know people and battle THEM occasionally. I think I only posted twice in the BM Thread, but I had a lot of people on my AIM list, so was always asked for battles.

Battle Me thread in the WiFi forum.

My question: I'll be RNGing for Registeel in Emerald, should I go for Careful or Impish?

The analysis gives Careful for most sets, but Impish for the OU tank set, and I think I'm more likely to play OU than UU. I've already got a Bashful 31/26/25/19/23/0 Registeel, so if that's any good for anything (it probably isn't) then obviously I want my new catch to be good for different roles.

EDIT:
I'm looking for a list which tells which pokémon can learn Emerald tutor moves.
It's not one list, but http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Move_tutor#Hoenn_move_tutors gives the tutorable moves, and then the article on each move will list what learns it by Tutor. Of course several of the moves became TMs later.

SECOND EDIT: BTW my Registeel is meant for use in 4th Gen.

When I use a move like swords dance, then switch that pokemon out and bring it back into battle later does it still have the attack boost from swords dance, or do I have to SD again to get the boost back?

I have got a question regarding Smearagle.
Had one myself traded from someone else, but now I want to breed one myself seeing all the possibilities.
How can I teach it the desired moves easily?
I mean there are moves that you barely find any opponant using it... so how can you sketch moves easily?
