Actually, they're not 'slightly' higher, Pikachu's max offenses w/ Light Ball are 458/436, vs Raichu's 306 in both. Although you're better off with max Speed on Pikachu. In that case your offenses still reach 418/398, which is 36%/29% better. On the other hand, Raichu might use Orb or a Choice item, to match/beat Pikachu's power.

And Raichu's faster and can actually hope to take a special hit.

So honestly I'd say Raichu's better overall. I've never used either competitively though, but I've used Light Ball Pikachu ingame and though it dishes the damage it REALLY can't take a hit.

Here's a funny but fun question... Can anybody who's played Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (either version) help me pick a pokemon to theme and nickname after Larxene? I'm looking for something graceful, deadly, and charged with lightning...

I was considering Pikachu, Jolteon, or Pachirisu (Super Fang), but I want suggestions from you guys!

Not another RMT with Pokemon named after Kingdom Hearts characters I hope

Haven't actually played CoM :-( but have played Days. Lemme cast my mind back to Larxene's role, it was really early on...

Something's making me think Zapdos.

It depends on your team. Are you able to handle everything that isn't affected by Toxic Spikes? If so, then go with Toxic Spikes.

Let's see, I'm using this tenta with some of these pokemon:

A SDscyther (With Rocksmash)
A tauntDDdos (Waterfall good enough)
A subchargeMagnezone (Trapping + good damage hurts enough)
and A Subseed Breloom with focuspunch.
Some others can also do easily damage to steels. Except for one I think. So that's not a problem

Btw I use this set:

Tenta@Lefties
Liquid Ooze.
252 hp/120Def/136SpD
Bold nature
>Surf
>Sub
>Doubleteam
>Toxic/Toxicspikes

Ye I know, seems suckish. But I wanna try it out anyway ;). I don't have problems with grass and electric types(Teammates), nor with grounds (lol surfs up). Poison types either switchout or setup and surf. Grass/Poison. I stand no change (Also waterpoison and more combo's but w/e) and 'course steels(Easier with surf) but maybe HPground or something better?

But More important for me is the Toxic or T-spikes. Toxic hits more(levitators and flying types) but T-spikes, I dunno. Can still be helpful for the likes of my subcharge Zone, or Subseed Breloom. So yeah...

rock smash scyther?
also, double team is usually banned. If this is an ingame team, you probably dont need either

Thanks Coronis and Jesseus, but I'd still be afraid to evolve my Pikachu colored Pichu. I guess when I get it from Gamestop I'll look and see if it has the red star icon on it's page, and go from there

I think Luxray fits pretty well.

I am pretty new to pokemon so I am not sure how this might work but how will the data for the Gamestop Pichu be transferred to Heart Gold and Soul Silver and also will I be able to transfer my Pokemon from the Plat version to the new games. If so how is that done?

Parafusion Lanturn: Very sadistic.

Yes. Offer Kadabra for trade. Ask for something impossible, unlikely, or another Kadabra/Alakazam in return. (The last only if you don't care for your IVs/Nature).

Then, search for Pokemon until you are able to make a successful trade. Prepare to be frustrated because everyone wants impossible or unlikely things, since they like you are trying to clone or evolve.

You'll need a good few boxes full of Pokemon to have any hope of making a trade by searching.
