Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 24 (READ THE OP)

If you are looking for a 'check' you can have Scyther,Moltres,Flamethrower Weezing, for all Heracross sets in general. As far as counters good, there is no 'counter' for all Heracross sets in general. Bulk up-mono attack Hera is countered By Aggron who can easily OHKO with Head smash and takes nothing from Megahorn. As for scarf Hera, it's not too hard to predict, all the pokemon I mentioned earlier can come in on Megahorn/CC and hit back although apart from weezing, even scyther takes nearly 50% from Megahorn.

I need to replace Sceptile on my UU team. He seems just to not doing the job.
The rest of the team is Mespirit, Heracross, Milotic, Arcanine and Rhyperior.

Any help would be awesome!

VERY simple questions. Don't laugh at me.
1.Do attack/speed etc. boosts, reset when you switch?
2.How much do these boosts raise your stat per stage? 25%? 50%?
3.Why does everyone use Stealth Rocks?
My dumb mind of an in-game player does not know these things.

What is the best way to iv battle? Should I ask someone to play me in a friendly match so that they know I'll be checking my Pokemon's stats? Or should I just get into a random battle, check stats and then battle or disconnect after checking stats?

P.S. - I'm new to all of this stuff so I don't know how it works.

If I had to guess, you're using Sceptile to switch in on Water attacks aimed at Ryperior and Arcanine. Venasaur is better at switching in on bulky Waters since it has higher SpDef. If you're using Sceptile as a speedy revenge killer/sweeper, Venasaur won't work as well in that regard.

I think you can use this thread, but there might be a better one. There's a link in the rules that links to another thread for IV battles but the link doesn't work.

Hi, Cynth here.

I have a Game Shark for my Sapphire version, and it's the best tool I have for catching Legendaries and Event Pokemon for my OU team. I used a Wild Pokemon Modifier, so I can go anywhere and catch a pokemon I want. I used the Gameshark to catch Celebi and Jirachi for my OU team, but I did nothing to its stats and nature. I just kept catching them until I got the nature I want and then transfer it to my pearl version.

But I don't know what Qualifies as legal hacks or hacks that's not allowed. I used a wild pokemon modifer hack to catch them, but didn't do anything else to it.

Is that allowed? Or do I have to inform my opponent?

-----------

Also, you know when two moves on a pokemon are illegal together right? What makes those moves illegal on one another? For example, Sleep Powder and Spikes, Body Slam and Aura Sphere?

Do you also know where I can find a resource that tells you what moves are illegal?

I'm assuming it's either Mixed Life orb or SD.

Use this instead:-
If you want to keep the to the offensive side use this
Venusaur@Life orb
64 HP / 164 Atk / 96 SpA / 184 Spe Mild
-Sleep Powder
-Power Whip
-Sludge Bomb
-Synthesis

If your team needs a sort of supportive pokemon to lay back on use this:

Venusaur@Black sludge
252hp/50def/28sp.att/180sp.def Calm
-Sludge Bomb
-Synthesis
-Energy ball/Leaf storm
-Sleep Powder/Roar

It's still considered "legal hacks" because you used a Gameshark to edit your game to display something that's legal. However, due to certain ball restrictions (the ones that I know of are they HAVE to be in a Cherish ball), some people may freak out because you "legally hacked them poorly". If you can, just Pokesav them instead.

Oftentimes it's different parents, 3rd gen tutor moves + 4th gen egg moves, certain event moves, and so on and so forth.

This thread has pretty much every illegal moveset: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63782

Depends entirely on the pokemon that you've trapped(I'm assuming you mean mean look+baton pass when you say 'trap passing'). Suppose Umbreon is vs a donphan you mean look then wish or curse or anything else then baton pass. Best recipent would be Acid armor/Aqua ring Vaporeon, CM/SD Celebi or agility zapdos. Like I said depends on whom you've trapped.

hi,

ive got a lvl 87 abonmasnow with the pokerus and i have no idea what evs he has is there anyway to lower them to a managable level

Can anyone suggest a good chaining guide? I've seen several but would like a recommendation of a good one from someone who has successfully used it to get shinies. Thanks!

Hey guys, unless jolteon has a choice scarf, it's impossible to outspeed choice scarf heatran even with max speed right?? I just battled someone who's jolteon outsped my scarf heatran (max speed) and he took life orb damage so I know it wasn't scarfed. It has to be hacked, right??

Jolteon has max 394 speed while Heatran has 417 speed with a scarf, iirc. Are you 100% sure there wasn't anything else that could've affected it (e.g. Trick Room, etc.)?

no. it came from the future.

jokes aside, as far i know the guy could have changed his DS date to 60+ years in the future and captured the poke.
