Just trying to verify this off of bulbapedia because the wording is kind of funny and I need to be sure.

Does this mean, for example, if I'm breeding a bulbasaur 20/20/20/20/20/20 with my flawless ditto, I will be guaranteed to get a bulbasaur that will have 3 perfect stats in any of the 6 stats?

No. It means that the baby will have 3 stats that are either 20 (from the bulbasaur or 31 (from the ditto). The other 3 are randomly generated.

Will the IVs have a 50% chance of being passed down from the parents without an item, or does it have to have a Power item? Wondering because I have some Pokemon from different egg groups with good IVs, and I might want to do IV breeds since I can't RNG.

I don't know exactly. Just by a thought process, I would say that it would be 25% chance of any particular stat. There is a 50% chance for any one stat to be inherited at all. And two parents, so another 50% chance that it's from a particular parent. So, 25%.

Not sure on this though. Just my thinking.

What it is is that as the IVs are being determined, they are calculated from the PID (which you can ignore) and then, three times, a stat and a parent is chosen at random and the IV of the egg in that stat is overridden by the IV in that stat from the parent. This means that you could reasonably have only one IV passed down, if the same stat is chosen three times. The influence of power items is that the first stat-parent combination is guaranteed if one is holding a power item. This means that without a power item, there is a very rough chance of 1/4 of a given IV being passed down from a given parent.

Recently i saw someone listing illegal movesets. My question is why is Poison Heal + Thunderpunch Breeloom illegal? If it can learn thunderpunch through the move tutor on Platinum?

I'm having trouble using javarng. I always get empty lists when I try to use my SID for a Method K shiny. What am I doing wrong?

This belongs in the RNG Help thread, but I'll answer it here:

Most likely it's because what you're looking for is not catchable in the game with your SID, the required IVs and the nature you have chosen. Caught shiny Pokémon with high IVs are much more difficult to obtain than non shiny ones because your SID dictates what IV and nature combinations can be caught shiny and which ones can't. Perfect IV caught shinies are usually caught by people who RNG'd their SID to allow this to be possible, though I have seen people who had perfect shiny spreads through sheer luck. Try breeding instead. Or, if you absolutely must catch it, lower your IV requirements.

Does Trading between games affect EVs in any way??????

Say if i was to trade a not fully EV trained pokemon from HG to SS would it matter??

Yes. Simply breed for a wish clefairy in emerald, tutor it seismic toss, transfer it to HG, tutor it Heal bell and trick

Does the Pomeg glitch work in any of the 4th generation games?

EDIT: In particular, I mean the portion of the glitch that allows you to level-up Pokémon while they are still in eggs and keep the new moves/evolved forms when they hatch.

I have a female Bulbasaur and a male Charmander. Can they breed? They're both in the Monster category, but Charmander is Dragon and Bulbasaur is Plant.

I'm not very good at the egg/breeding system. I just put 2 Pokemon in assuming it will result in a egg, and if not, I try something else.

Thanks in advance to whoever answers.

^Yes. As long as two Pokemon share one egg group, they can breed.
But on Psypokes it doesn't state that they can breed together. It doesn't show it in the list. But I guess they were wrong. Is there a site I can use that has better breeding information?
