Im trying to get this
Electivire @ Life Orb
Nature: Naughty (Atk+/SDef-)

I cant understand how the Speed Tier List works. The elekid atm has 30 SPeed IV. I want it to be faster than a CSscarf Heracross
 • 433 - Motor Drive252 Electivire (95)
 • 405 - One DD from 270 speed (outspeeds CS Heracross)
lvl 100 Max stat Electrive with neutral nature is 289
Im planning 252 attack and need to kno what is the min EV spent on Speed so i can put a decent amount in sp attack.

Edited: I check the discussion forums for Electrive. It either said 252 attack/252 speed or 252attack, enought speed to past 400??? and rest in spattack

Is it possible for a Weezing to 2HKO a Heracross with Sludge Bomb? If so, how much SpAtk would I need for that?

Defender HP: 301
Damage: 117 - 138
Damage: 38.87% - 45.85%

Max SAtk, Neutral natured Weezing to a Min HP/Sdef Heracross. Unless you run +SAtk, no is the answer.

433 is the speed that Electivire reaches after getting the Motor Engine boost [50%]

433/1.5 = 288.6666, so you need max Speed to reach that. Most Heracross top out at 404 speed, so you only need 270 Speed to guarantee going first against neutral speed natured Heracross.

whhhaaaaaaat i just followed this thread and its says CS heracross gets 403....so which is right? because i just ev'ed my agilgross to get 202 speed and i dont want to start again -_-

is 31 speed ivs nessisary on a CS Heatran? i got a nice one with 31 spa ivs and 21 speed ivs, and planning on using the standard ev set for a CS heatran in the thread. Should i compensate for the loss of speed by putting more evs into speed?

289 - 252 Houndoom, Jynx, Drapion, Yanmega, Leafeon, Gliscor, Uxie, Electivire (95)

270 - One DD hits 405 (outspeeds CS 252 Heracross (85))
269 - 252 Heracross, Suicune, Toxicroak, Ledian (85)

So does that mean I jsut do 289 - 275 = 14 pts
Then I would get 64 ev special attack, 252 attack and 194 evspeed

194 ev speed gives me 48.5 or 48 more points. Can you check if this on a lvl 100 electrivre with a Motor Boost would be enough to outspeed an neutral nature 252 speed ev CHoice scarf heracross. It is getting a bit easier to read the chart but mainly confused what the numbers mean and the EV spread .

Hm... should I keep this Brave Ditto? I want low speed and high attack for a trick room team.

IVs: 5/31/25/11/16/16

I can always breed until I get lower speed from random IVs or from the other parent.

In the move-descriptions thread, Tailwind is described as 2x speed for 3 turns... Everywhere else that I've been states that it lasts 5 turns...

Which poses the obvious question: Which number is correct?
(Mind you, I'd assume the Smogon number is the more likely, but I'm hoping it was either a mistype or just plain incorrect.)

Tail Wind indeed lasts only 3 turns. In other words, it's crap in singles.

what is the "slot game", and how does it relate to getting an explosion tm? i looked it up on serebii and im like wtf.

thanks ikaeru and sage

what is a slot game, and how do you get an explosion tm? i looked it up on serebii and im like wth, its not at the game corner or battle tower.

Slot-machines are in the game-corner, and require game-corner coins to use them. (They're just like the slots from all the past games.) Exception being that when you get all 7's (or, in some cases, Gs,) a bonus game starts. This bonus game entails a simon-says minigame with a clefairy on the bottom screen. Every round in the bonus game, you get 15 "simon-says" commands. If you don't fail (and get lucky) you'll be able to continue on to a second round with 15 more commands. If you continue being lucky (And not failing,) you will be able to continue to even more rounds. Complete 10 rounds in it, then talk to the woman at the counter, and you get the tm for explosion.

And Sage, thanks for the speedy reply. Clarification appreciated.

Some more notes on the slot machine:
If the moon glows red, get Clefairy's combination wrong. It doesn't matter how you do it; just get it wrong.
The shiny Clefairy has the greatest chance of progressing on to the next round, followed by the normal Clefairy, and then the Ditto Clefairy.

Are certain natures more common in bred Pokemon than others? I noticed that out of the 61 Ralts I bred tonight exactly zero were adamant. Is adamant a very rare nature or does some higher power just really hate me?

Nah its still random and you have a one in twenty chance of adamant, in other words you were unlucky. This can be influenced however with the use of an Everstone held by the mother or the ditto. The everstone will ensure the mother or ditto's nature is passed down 50% of the time.

It took me over 100 eggs jsut to hatch a Adamant Mudkip even WITH the everstone equipped on my Adamant Ditto. It took me two whole days to finally get one. Now I'm just SRing for a good one.

This may not be an extremely simple question, but I'll try my best. When I was looking over some of the D/P analyses, I noticed a few pokemon that have a "shuffle" set (i.e. suicune and articuno with roar, after stealth rock/spikes have been layed on the field). which leads me to my question, Is it possible to build an entire team around shuffling? I was considering making a team, but if it is too unrealistic, I would like to know before i waste a lot of time in doing so.

where exactly is the move re-learner?

When you give this guy a heart scale (i believe he is in pastroia city) he will allow you to learn any of the moves that are on your level up list.

For some pokemon, this is the only way they can learn the move as is the case with porygon z and nasty plot.

It's too unrealistic. While a random shuffler can wreak some havoc, a team based on Spikes damage doesn't really -do- anything.

I caught a shiny Weepinbell just recently. It's got a Hardy nature and these crappy IVs: 8 - 9 / 17 - 18 / 18 / 14 - 15 / 16 - 17 / 17 - 18.

Can anyone give me a good moveset and EV spread for it? Thanks.

The concept of sleep talk shuffler seems mildly amusing, however, so while it may not be worth the entire team, it could be a nice filler if you have spikes/sr...

How much is explosion's damage reduced in 2v2 battles? I've been told it halves attack power and quarters the defender's defense in 1v1 or 2v2, but it has like 66% base power in 2v2?
