Can I run
Thunderbolt
Flash Cannon
Thunder Wave
Magnet Rise
On my Magnezone? Is Substitute really all that crucial? I don't have the right HP, but that's not that much of a concern to me as I have others to take care of said Pokemon that are out there.
If this will work anyway (I'll probably use it anyway), does the EV spread
172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
Still apply? Magnezone don't have much HitPoints I don't guess so I guess it still fits but I'll probably be needing some more Speed.
Looks fine, but replace Flash Cannon with something. It's not adding anything to the set.
Really? What if I run into a Rock type? Which.... I guess it doesn't really matter, reminds me of 3rd Gen when I'd use Magneton and pretty much every other Electric type for STAB'd Thunderbolts and that alone.
Hmm, I'll flip through it's movepool and see what I can come up with.... tomorrow. :p
But really the reason I came again now was because I wanted to elaborate why I needed Magnet Rise.
Alot of the people I know just LOVE double battles. Why, I don't know, I'm old-skool myself, but somehow I've worked out combos with what little Pokemon I have.
Magnet Rise is a blessing as I can rise one turn and be immune to my partner's own EQ's.
And I don't have a single statuser on my team ATM, IIRC, which I can't cause I REALLY need to go to bed. So T-wave is a must.
So that's 3 attacks set in stone, and a 4th one yet to be determined...
I flipped through it's movepool. The only other good attacking option is Hidden Power, and mine's sucks. HP Bug 45.
Any other opinions? This is the best one I have so far..
I could've went with any Hidden power as long as if it were 55 BP or above and NOT Electric. :P
I don't see why Flash Cannon is a bad option though..
I see I can get Tri-Attack, which has (for some reason) worked well for me in the past, but still FC seems just way better.
I'd also like to have a second opinion on the EV spread, but I think that part's more dependant on my own personal preferences, especially on how much speed I need, etc., to cope with my other "Pocket Monsters".
edit:
@: jenigmat429: "hax" items I heard are the ones that make you and your opponent push the luck meter I think, and the ones that create evasiveness, which is why you don't see alot of Double Team.
Anyway, such items include Scope Lens and BrightPowder (I think) so hopefully someone can elaborate further with me on this. I'm running Scope Lens on my Absol anyway - that's about the only thing it can do. That or die. = / And I'm almost to the conclusion that it's ability, Super Luck, runs both ways, as I constantly get crit hits on me. Or maybe I'm just "Super Unlucky"...lol.
As for the "rules" goes here, people usually set their own rules in their sigs I've noticed, but I don't know about the site as a whole for tournaments and such. Haven't entered nor ventured into that area.
But hey, 1 answer's better than none, right?
amirite?? :P
