I'm not sure, but I'll try to take a stab at it.

Politoed gets a lot out of using STAB Waterfall, and I don't think it has the attack to use non-STAB. The only reason Return is up there is because if you're using a water attack, Normal is a great combination hitting everything that isn't something that resists both for neutral.

Well, I mean, it is using BellyDrum, so thats not a big issue about non-STABs. And EQ and Ice Punch are pretty strong moves to begin with. For a bellydrummer, 249 atk is pretty good. Should I be making a topic with DMG calcs for this? Or is it ok that i post here?

I have heard there's a way to see a pokemon's nature, gender, ability, and possibly their IV's as well while the pokemon is still in it's egg. Is this true? And how is this done?

This would save me a lot of time.

I think that the best thing if you want to ask is either to PM the person who wrote the analysis or to go to C&C and look around for something. The guide talks about it too, in the other options.

What a co-inky-dink, because I was just looking up this particular glitch recently.

Scroll down until you find "How can I find out the Nature of Unhatched Eggs?"

As for the IVs, the only way you can check the IVs of an unhatched Egg as an AR code that I believe I posted earlier in this thread.

Quick question, does Spider Web still work if Ariados switches out without Baton Passing? Cause if not, then Ariados has nothing going for out except coolness.

One of my friends created a strategy involving Focus Punch and Steadfast on Lucario. The question is, does the flinch from Focus Punch activate SteadFast?

It means 1/2 of the time it stays the same and 1/2 of the time it has a chance to change. If you clone and send to D/p and its abil changes, then its abil will always change.

I've had this question for a while.
Say I was SR for a breeding project.
When I hatch the egg, it turns out to be shiny.
If I SR back to before I take the egg, will it still be shiny?

Shininess is encoded in the PID, which - IIRC - is set when the egg is made. Soft resetting to before you pick up the egg - but after it was made - should leave the Shininess intact.

Ok. If that's the case, why are seeing so many bad iv'd shiny hatched pokemon? I'd think people would want to SR at that point.

Also, SRing can only get you so far. Unless you plan on SRing for a really long time, crap parents that produce a shiny baby will keep passing down crap IVs.

So what you do is this.
1)Activate code in AR

-In game-
1)Load up on pokes you wanna check ivs for
2)hit X for menu
3)go to Pokemon
4)click on the Poke
5)hold Start + select and click Summary...****HOLD until the menu comes up
6)the menu should resemble an egg menu...it'll only have 2 pages to it.
7)go to your TM bag

the # of TMs in your first six slots will tell you what their IVs are IN THIS ORDER

HP
Att
Def
Speed
Sp att
Sp def

NOTE: If one or more of your TMs are deleted when using this code, that means your Pokemon has one or more IVs that are 0.

Thank you!

who would make the best overall lead out the following pokemon:
starmie
snorlax
skarmory
ludicolo
swampert
kingdra
Depends on what you need.

Skarmory and Swampert are sturdy, can set up Rocks, and pHaze.

Snorlax is a bulky Wall.

Starmie is generally either a Sweeper or a spinner, and you don't want to lead with the spinner, ever.

I don't think Ludicolo or Kingdra would make a good lead.

if you aren't maxing out a stat, but you are still putting EVs into, it how important is it to have a perfect 31 IV?

for example i'm trying to decide on a Cresselia. One has a 31 Def IV, the other a 27 IV. how much of a difference will that make since i'm not maxing it out (112 EVs)?

also is there anywhere on Smogon that lists the formulas for these calculations? like damage, stats, etc.
