I'm getting a Celebi from this guy in the Wifi forum. It has Bold nature, and good IVs, most importantly 31 HP. It also has Hidden Power fighting.

Celebi has so many outrageous moves I don't know what to give it. I have a choice of three grass moves or Psychic. I need to choose between Rest and Recover. I also need to decide if I want U-turn, or Baton Pass, or SD/CM/Sub or a status. Theres also Heal Bell and perish Song.

I kind of liked the idea of using Heal Bell because I don't have much for clerics (I have chimecho in UU) but Perish Song stops BP teams dead, and would also stop people's last pokemon no matter what. The 31 HP allows 101 HP subs, and interesting bonus. Then theres the problem with pursuit... I'll need to use a slot on BP or U-turn. Of course, I'll also need an attack so taunt doesn't ruin me.

Which moveset do you think is the best?

Celebi @ Leftovers/Big Root
252 HP // 252 DEF // 6 Sp. DEF
Substitute
Leech Seed
Baton Pass
Grass Knot/Energy Ball/Calm Mind

Taunt is blocked by Sub, correct? If not, forget the Calm Minds...

Celebi @ Leftovers
236 HP // 252 DEF // 22 Sp. DEF
Heal Bell
Perish Song
Recover
Grass Knot/Energy Ball

Team support Celebi... not much in the way of offense, but breaks up stall teams/baton passers...

Celebi @ Leftovers
236 HP // 252 DEF // 22 Sp. DEF
Heal Bell
Rest
Grass Knot/U-Turn
Leech Seed/Thunderwave

I dunno what this thingy does, but since it switches all the time to Heal Bell my team, I thought Rest, Leech Seed and stuff were OK.

Any other sets that come to mind? I could also pull of a CM pass in a set as well... but yeah. I've never used Celebi so I need advice.

Please?

goodfella: Thanks for the Arceus sprites.

And I'm going to EV train my Arceus soon, and noticed the 20 HP is a real pain to get over with. The EV spread in the analysis (92 HP / 202 SpA / 216 Spe) returns 404 HP / 358 SpA / 330 Speed. Can someone explain to me why exactly does Arceus need 330 Speed (I can see it's for Palkia, but just for it, really?) and 404 HP (he is not going to do 101 Subs anyway)?

Some sets use Substitute, and the speed is to be garunteed to outspeed all base 110's like Lati's.
I know since I had to EV my Arceus taking all that into account. Rearanging EV's is such a pain...

...But Timid Latias has 350 Speed, not 328 (like Palkia).

And, if Arceus really needs that exact Speed and HP, I'll reduce the EVs in Sp. Attack anyway. It's just a 2% in damage, and Tyranitar/Darkrai can't survive the Judgment by any means. Smae for Rayquaza.

In the Battle Tower, should I use Draco Meteor three times to KO and 2KO the first two Pokemon, or should i switch out after the second hit since the special attack is too low?

On Serebii it says Hippowdown learns Ice Fang at _. Does this mean it learns this move as soon as it evolves?

I've lost the chart someone made which had the base chance of a critical, the chance with Super Luck, the chance with Scope Lens, and the combined chance with Super Luck and Scope Lens, but given that Smogon does not have a search function I am loathe to search through the many pages of the research threads. Can somebody kindly help me out here if they know it?

The normal chance of a Critical Hit, IIRC, is 6.25%. When Scope Lens is added on, it becomes 12.5. Anything further is either doubled, or added by 6.25. I'm not entirely sure.

If I'm going to try to activate a Salac Berry by using three Substitutes, what should the remainder of the HP be when divided by four?

As long as the initial HP is divisible by 4, your Pokemon can get the Berry Boost after 3 Substitutes.

What do you guys think its the best sleep talker in the game?

CB-Heracross is one. Cresselia, Milotic, Snorlax, etc.

I believe that that regular moves have a 1/16 chance of a critical hit, and any boosts will move it to 1/8, then 1/4, and then cap at 1/2.

So a Pokemon with either Super Luck or Scope Lens will have a 1/8 chance of a critical hit (1/4 chance if the move has a high-critical hit ratio). A pokemon with both Super Luck and Scope Lens will have a 1/4 chance of a critical hit (1/2 chance if the move has a high critical hot ratio).

Is the search function ever coming back?!! Have the staff even said what happened to it?

My friend is trying out Regigigas and is trying to Skill Swap stuff. My question is, once Regi gets Skill Swapped, does Slow Start go away instantly, or does it have to switch in and out?

If I use Whirlpool/Clamp/Wrap etc. on a Pokemon, then switch out the Pokemon that used the trapping move, will the opponent still be trapped.
