Shoddy and Netbattle exist, but aren't very commonly used.
Showdown isn't released yet, so the above two are the only ones, iirc. Or you could battle the guy with 6 magikarp.

The whole point was what to do when I don't have access to the Internet, so Shoddy and Netbattle are out entirely. This is for when I'm on the bus, or when my internet's down (which is far too often nowadays).

Edit: never mind. I've resorted to just going through the E4 sans items. Managed to beat Alder with two Pokemon still alive, so it's not exactly an easy task. :)

If you got an Android smart phone you could try the PO App. It works pretty good for me.

i already mentioned empoleon... -_-

andd... sun teams's main sweepers are usually grass type.. every single one of the team members on that team is hit super effectively by grass/fire (many chlorophyll pokes use hp fire) except gyarados which means you are super weak to sun.

super. weak

empoleon and altaria are good.

altaria x4 resists grass (gastrodon) and gastrodon takes ice attacks well

I know, which is why I said I would be taking from both of your suggestions on it to create a Specially Defensive spread with the moveset of Roar/Stealth Rock/Scald/Ice Beam.

Altaria would be fun to use, though.

Eek! My apologies. I should really get some sleep.

One of the silliest things I've ever tried is Heatproof Bronzong. While it doesn't have much offensive presence, it takes Fire-type attacks (even under the sun) moderately well. It's true that it won't stand up to Earthquake, but neither did Heatran.

Infernape could potentially work as an offensive threat who resists Grass and Fire-type attacks while being able to toss out Stealth Rock if needed.

Victini is an interesting choice in that it can run a variety of sets while using U-turn to gain momentum. It is, however, weak to Stealth Rock, and your team is lacking a spinner / Magic Bounce. It patches up your Celebi weakness rather well while resisting threats like non-Shadow Ball Reuniclus and Grass-types.

Skarmory isn't a terrible idea either. Even though it hates HP Fire, it can usually survive (it WILL if Sturdy is up), and hit hard with Brave Bird. It can set up hazards and phaze as well.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I will keep them all in mind. Infernape also seems like an interesting choice for the team. Probably one with Stealth Rock/Fire Blast/Close Combat/U-Turn.

When it comes right down to it, a simple answer really does not exist to patch the hole in my team that Heatran leaves, atleast without changing the entire dynamic, but you both recommended some nice placeholders in the mean time. Thank you both.

Your Mew has good IVs but rash is a bad nature for a defensive set. I'd reset for a better nature (bold\timid\calm) if possible.
at the end, i reset that mew, and now I think I'll reset for a defensive mew taht hava to hv ths set: seismic toss, night shade, toxic, soft boiled; some diea about that? I'd like to founda good set that use the xd special moves of mew

Seismic Toss and Night Shade are both poor options on Mew; it can hit much harder with its other moves, and if you have one, the other becomes nearly worthless.

i already checked, it said it was a promotion, so i wanted know if it was legal and breedable for anylaze because its genderless

@Je-Muzu: Porygon is genderless, so you can't breed its DW ability down.

@DFang: Timid is better, and Focus Blast has significantly higher power compared to HP Fighting.

There are spanish teachers or people who speak spanish in battle 101?

I would like to have a teacher but my english is worse that bad.

Is it ok to use AR Cloned Mons in Nintendo Official Tournaments, both wifi and non-wifi? So for instance, if I manage to get an AR Cloned Thundurus by trade, from someone's trade thread, will it pass Nintendo's hack check?

How many Atk EVs does it take to guarantee a Tornados a OHKO of a T-Tar with Hammer Arm?

Also, for my rain team, would a Starmie or Tentacruel be better for spinning?

With a neutral nature against 252 HP T-Tar, even 252 Atk isn't an OHKO (it does 91 - 107%). It's an OHKO with Adamant though. :/
And use Tentacruel.

Edit: For my calc I assumed no item (you didn't specify).

I'd like to know why this happens on the server.

I've already done both, and many times.

I have a question about the mechanics of Torment.

If, for example, an opposing Jellicent uses Scald, while I use substitute with my (faster) Heatran, will I be able to 'lock' Scald with Torment next turn (probvided that the opponent actually uses Scald again)? Or can the opponent freely use Scald that second turn, but is prohibited in the third turn?

In other words, does Torment only 'count' while in effect, or can it used to lock moves used before Torment went in effect, like a pseudo-Disable?

Thanks in advance!
