You guys all know that speed boost is illegal with baton pass, right?? This is a huge loss for OU.
EDIT: Oh, ok.

No. Dream World abilities are breedable.
That's good. People can start using Blaziken the right way then.

Huh... I actually really like the idea of Claw Sharpen sets over Swords Dance sets. Claw Sharpen to Swords Dance is a damage increase of 33%, and Fire Punch to Blaze Kick is an increase of only 13%. However, Brick Break to HJK is an increase of 73%, and the two average out to a 43% increase in power. Of course, this mostly depends on whether you want powerful Fire attacks or powerful Fighting attacks, and it's all made null and void if you decide to just risk the 10% chance of missing.
What do people think of a Sub+3 attacks set? It would allow for greater coverage, and Blaziken's pretty well set up to run a Specially mixed set to hurt most anything. I expect it to become much more prominent once Eccentricity gets released, because Ditto's kind of a bitch to setup sweepers.
1. HJK and Blaze Kick both got 90% acc this is acceptable thus SD is the better way to go as the increased damage output turns some 2HKOs into OHKOs compared to Claw Sharpen wich only boost you atk one stage and both HJK and Blaze Kick only get boosted to 99% Acc meaning you can still miss it could be viable with Stone Edge, but that leads me to the next part
2. He absolutly needs Protect as without the +1 Spe boost he gets outspeed by way too many Pokes to reliably set up a Substitute. I can see the issues about Eccentric Ditto but both Fighting and Fire Attacks are easy to stop and since Ditto usually uses a Choice Scarf you should be able to stop him.
2. The idea behind all Sub+3 attacks sets is that you switch in to something you threaten/are not threatened by, force it to switch, and sub on the switch so that you get a free attack on whatever they bring in. What Ditto does is let you SD up once, maybe twice, kill a Pokemon, and then Ditto comes in, copies the boosts, and proceeds to slaughter your team. Best case scenario, you predict perfectly and manage to avoid Ditto wrecking your team. Worst case scenario, you have no Ghosts or Gliscor and you lose immediately. Most scenarios, you sacrifice something to find what move Ditto's locked into, switch in something that can wall Ditto, and Ditto switches out with no damage. The problem persists. Seriously, don't underestimate Ditto sweeps.
could work, but the problem again is Kens mediocre Speed wich only really forces out Walls, also if you can predict a switch why not use SD and protect next turn to get the additional Speed Boost. If you see a ditto on their team, then don't set up with blaziken. Simple as that.
Anyway, has anyone running Protect considered Nitro Charge? Using it on the switch nets you an immediate +2, and an extra speed boost if you use it to pick off weakened threats.
I've found that SD/Protect doesn't work very well because you don't get enough coverage against important threats like Burungeru and Lati@s.could work, but the problem again is Kens mediocre Speed wich only really forces out Walls, also if you can predict a switch why not use SD and protect next turn to get the additional Speed Boost.
I don't see why you'd run Protect when you have Cheer Up. A 558 attack 195 power Hi Jump Kick with 99% accuracy thanks to Wide Lens, where do you sign? right here.
Blaziken
Naughty|Wide Lens|Speed Boost
252 Attack|216 Speed|42 Sp. Atk
Cheer Up
Hi Jump Kick
Fire Blast
Stone Edge
Hits anything for very good damage, even Burungerus coming in on you won't like a 558 attack Stone Edge and if it crits then bye-bye. I've found this set to be very reliable since with Cheer Up its main attack is strong enough to OHKO stuff right away instead of needing to 2KO or have massive Spikes support - you're just 55 power away from Explosion. Another reason why is of course the Wide Lens which this set really makes good use of. I can tell you that this set has genuinely surprised me which doesn't happen often, I didn't think it would be this good when I made it.
Sounds good but just use Swords Dance and use Flare blitz or Blaze Kick over Fire Blast. Boosting by 2 is much better than by 1.
