protect was not used consecutively by my side of the field, yet fails (turn 12, then another move turn 13, then protect again turn 14, failed). anyone understand this? me and my opponent discussed it after the battle, neither of us knew.
Protect will always fail if it goes last in a turn (if the opponent switches for example or if they use Protect first).

This is an EXTREMELY minor bug that has no consequence whatsoever in reality, but PS doesn't allow you to use a Salamence below level 50 even though as of Sun/Moon you can get one well under level 50 in-game.

Yeah this hasnt been fixed yet because its not a simple code change iirc because of the current structure that handles this. Because of that and the extremely low priority on it, its probably going to sit for a while. If a new developer wants to take a whack at it, be my guest.

Unfortunately I didn't screencap but when hovering over Ferrothorn it reported Ferrothorn still had 5 PP remaining on Leech Seed when it began to struggle. The game mechanics were correct (it was out of PP) but I don't think the display for the opponent was taking pressure into account.

This is because if a move displays, "But it failed!" its intended target is hidden. Admittedly this doesn't make much sense for Singles.

hey i am new in this forum and i created this account to complain about this bug that i recently faced in pokemon showdown pokebilities
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7pokebilities-860285746i have been playing this metagame relatively often this month but somehow i faced a problem when a porygon 2 somehow kept on intimidating opposing pokemon infinitely with trace ability (which caused my gyarados to go very low on attack) (this had never happened when i was playing previously)
(i am the one with the crasher wake avatar)

Apparently this got fixed the way I put it down, but it's still not properly implemented. The following moveset should be legal:
Marowak @ Thick Club
- Swords Dance
- Body Slam
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake

but according to the team validator it is illegal, when it shouldn't be.
It learns Swords Dance and Rock Slide via breeding in GSC (Charizard passes it down).
Then you should just trade it back as I mentioned above to recieve Body Slam.

Thanks to FriendOfMrGolem120 for having told me about this and Salty3345 having found it.
From Gen 2 PS development thread.

Hi all. I was just playing a random battle on showdown and encountered this error message"
[Invalid choice] Can't move: You sent more choices than unfainted Pokémon.
". Unfortunately I didn't think to save a screenshot so idk how helpful this will be to whoever is in charge of fixing it, but I figured I should say something regardless. I remember I had two Pokemon left and got the error when I tried to use Stealth Rock from Sudowoodo and I was fighting a Zangoose with Toxic Orb and Façade.

The recent Camomons tour in the Tournaments room didn't register the type changes made by the first two moves.

Two replays where none of the pokemons' types changed from their original typing. The only instances where the type change worked was when an Alakazam Mega-Evolved and turned into a Fighting/Psychic type and a M-Medicham turned into a Steel/Fighting type. It seems megaevolved pokemons aren't affected by this bug.

Just to mention again, I don't know whether it is my misunderstanding or something.
But the Ability Natural Cure has no message shown on the screen in G5 currently compare to the other gen
This is weird in my opinion
an example: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen5ou-410094
Turn 8, switch to garchomp and get spored successfully, which means this starmie is Natural Cure. But no message shows that it is healing from its ability

Turn 14, while Reflect is up, Klefki's Play Rough does 30% damage to Incineroar. Turn 16, after Reflect expires, Klefki's Play Rough does 33% damage to Incineroar. I'm not sure which one is wrong, but I'm pretty sure either the first one should have done half as much damage or the second one should have done twice as much damage.
Turn 14

The opposing Maractus used Helping Hand!
The opposing Maractus is ready to help the opposing Klefki!

The rest is rolls.

If multiple Pokémon are present on the user's side of the field, all of them are protected by Reflect, but physical damage is only reduced by a third rather than half.
