Unfortunately for some, that is the exact conceit behind these changes: Re-aligning them with past and current CAP "canon", much like official Pokemon. The old updates happened in an era when CAP was not updating their roster with new game releases.
If we were to open the door to directly modifying Pokemon, CAP or official, I would want it to be a more intentional process than we did in the past. Such moves would likely be listed in the CAP page as coming from a BBP-specific process thread, with a link just like the rest of the Update History.
I would probably want to talk to DougJustDoug, too, the current IP manager for CAPs overall.
