College Decisions: Where are you going?

Most colleges have already sent out their verdicts to applicants: accepted, rejected, or "(un-)waitlisted".

Based on the verdict(s) you received, what college will you be (or are) attending for the 2010-2011 academic year?

As for me, I will be attending the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania for my undergraduate studies.

I shall be attending the University of Waterloo for Honours Mathematics co-op (undergraduate). I'm thinking to major in one of the following:

*Applied Mathematics - Earth Sciences Option
*Combinatorics & Optimization
*Computational Mathematics

But of course, it's all tentative to change.

I'll be going to the United States Naval Academy this summer and will be there for the next four years; after that, I'll serve as an officer in either the Navy or Marines.

I leave for Maryland in 37 days and will spend the summer doing basic training (plebe summer) before starting the academic year.

I'm planning on majoring in mechanical engineering but may end up going aeronautical or systems engineering. Not quite sure.

I have a full ride there (it's not really a scholarship as if you are accepted to the school it's automatically paid for by the government, all 350k of it).

Well since we start our academic year differently to you guys i am already at uni for 2010. Victoria University majoring in Philosophy

First off, good job Konrad for even getting into Waterloo Mathematics. Their standards are ridiculously high for accepting people into their Maths program (the minimum cutoff is something like 80% IIRC, and I'd imagine that very few people get in with the minimum), so you must have had some nice grades to get in there. I guess that's how it is for one of the best mathematics programs in the world though. xD

As for me, I'm going to OttawaU for an Honours BSc with Mathematics as my major and hopefully a minor in Chemistry (to become a teacher, you need a major and a minor, but it's fine since I like Chem). I'm not gonna lie, I'm really starting to get cold feet about university though since I'm kind of afraid that I'm gonna screw up the course selection process, or get a shitty residence (the one I wanted is full so I had to try for others). However, I do love mathematics, particularly applied mathematics, which is what I'm going to try basing my courses around in university since applying math to real life is awesome. Probability is awesome too IMO.

I am going to be in engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. Engineering is just the start though, as i plan on going into medicine after.

I got into all the universities I wanted to in Canada. UT, McGIlll, UWaterloo + Honours etc etc.

I'm going to SFU sigh. It's free, near the house, and easy to get 4.00 GPA. Plus, parents don't want me living on residence in the East and it's expensive to go. I'll probably transfer out anyways. I hate that school.

I'm going to Brown University next year. Probably going to major in English or Philosophy or something like that.

Sure is maths and sciences in here!

I'm a Junior in Illustration so I don't really count for this thread but I am trying to figure out if Grad school is worth it but probably not, I hate spending money and I just want a damn job.

I'll be going to MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) for my academic year. I plan to major in nuclear engineering. Anyone here going there?

Congrats to you all, I know this on where you will be going, but I attend the University of Maryland College Park (Go Terps) and just finished my first year of undergraduate. I am majoring in Cell Biology; i somehow managed to pull off a 4.0

I'm going to Indiana University, where I plan to major in History and minor in Political Science. While obtaining my History degree, I want to take pre-law classes and, after recieving my degree, join IU's law program where I hopefully will become a lawyer.

OSU for Astronautical Engineering and then off to the Navy to fly fighter jets. Hopefully after that I'll be able to get into NASA or a foreign equivalent and be an astronaut.

I'll be heading to Lehigh University for Biochemistry :) A good few (5ish) people from my school are heading to LU, anyone here going?
