I firmly believe in the Meteor theory. As a matter of fact, I think that one was proven.

Not by the comic of course:p

There is also the Chuck Norris theory /joking.

Interesting fact about Velociraptors: Their foot claws are not scythes as portrayed in Jurassic Park, as they have no sharp cutting edge. They're spikes, and would be used for kicks to the underbelly.

LIKE KNUCKLEDUSTERS ON THEIR FEET!!

Except that Triceratops fossils have been found with wounds that were very likely caused by a Tyrannosaurus. And Iguanodon lived millions of years before Tyrannosaurus.

But yes, birds do belong to the theropod suborder of dinosaurs. Which is a bit odd, because theropoda belongs to saurischia (lizard-hipped) as opposed to ornithischia (bird-hipped).

A T-Rex vs Triceratops fight would never have happened in real life, since Tyrannosaurus could just run behind a Triceratops and kill.
I am going to have to unpoop this party, because you yourself seem to be the victim of a common misconception. 1.5 million years is actually quite a long time.

Even unlikely events become quite likely if given enough opportunity.

Dinosaurs are cool, when I was a kid I used to collect this magazine where you'd build a glow in the dark skeleton of a T-Rex piece by piece. I think I still have the ring binder with them all in somewhere. Never finished the model though.

Okay I'm an arts student archaelogist and all, alright, and lemme tell you that I just found this whole Triceratops fossil in my garden backyard excavation grounds, and in actual fact the tail of the Triceratops is tipped with white-hot razor blades that fire in every direction if a predator is in hot pursuit.

Trust me bros I'm a true Slowbro

From what I understand about dinosaurs, the T-Rex had a very well developed strategy center of the brain (hell the brain itself was colossal too) and the power behind it's jaws was practically overkill most of the time. T-Rex's more difficult prey included the "living tanks", Triceratops and Ankylosarus, and I say "more difficult prey" because there was really no reliable T-Rex counter, they didn't hunt them for eating unless they were desperate. T-Rex was smart and strong, so it knew how to exploit these guys weaknesses and destroy them with one well placed bite, as evidenced by fossils of it's victims. So I'm going with the T-Rex for best dinosaur, who practically ran that Late Cretaceous shit with both hands tied behind it's back because it couldn't use them anyways. I guess they moved pretty goddamn slow though and didn't take falling down well at all.

Some say a particular kind of Raptor could have been the best dinosaur if they had time to develop wings they could fly with and use to get the drop on unsuspecting prey, as they were also very intelligent, highly social and were armed with a plethora of sharp things. They were pretty small for dinosaurs, but they were excellent hunters and were fast enough to escape from dinosaurs they knew better than to try to fight. Pretty damn good all around.

I contend that T-rexes could fly.

lol my pokemon instincts made me think of a dinosaur metagame: tanks check t-rex, but aren't reliable counters - T-Rex for ubers!
