Pokémon: Cacturne
Category: Dark
New Type:![]()
Stats: 70/70/90/80/80
New Moves: Amnesia, Lash Out, Mega Drain, Thunderbolt, Stun Spore, Poison Powder
Removed Moves: Low Kick, Swords Dance, Thunder Punch
Competitive Overview: Amnesia user that isn't Snorlax or a Water-type. Wow!
Pokémon: Duraludon
Category: Steel
New Type: Rock / Dragon
Stats: 70 / 95 / 95 / 110 / 85
New Moves: Earthquake, Ice Beam, Flamethrower
Removed Moves: Thunder Wave
Competitive Overview: swords dance sweeper, having sadly its two STABs be Snarl and Rock Slide, wich arent too bad since its offensive stats are good, and its defensive stats as well. it has alright coverage in ice, electric and fire, and earthquake if you go solely physical. Heavy Slam also gos off its defense stat, wich hits 95, wich is quite nice. Slash probably wouldn't be much useful, but it gets that.
Pokémon: Alcremie
Category: Fairy
New Type: Normal / Ice
Stats: 75 / 60 / 75 / 121 / 64 (395 BST)
New Moves: Ice Beam, Blizzard, Mega Drain
Removed Moves: Fake Tears, Recover
Competitive Overview: Stats are just okay, but a very nice typing (something that would never again be said of Normal / Ice), high Special, and access to Acid Armor should let Alcremie carve out a niche. Mind the Fighting-types though.
remove either twave or bind as its combo of para+pt+twave immunity is a pretty stacked kit. cool mon though.Due to the new Ice mon also being Normal and also the fact that it’s been rejected like 4 times, you have all lost Sneasel privileges for the foreseeable future
Pancake again
Pokémon: Stunfisk-Galar
Category: Steel
New Type: Ground / Electric
Stats: 99 HP / 101 Atk / 99 Def / 75 Spc / 52 Spe (426 HP)
New Moves: Thunderbolt, Thunder, Thunder Punch, Conversion
Removed Moves: Later gens
Competitive Overview: Electric type physical wall? In my Gen 1? it's more likely than you think. I'm still genuinely surprised at the amount of times Gunfisk was subbed but never once in its original typing. Just click EQ against most mons, especially Rhydon, but consider mixing it up with some Electric moves on a decent Spc stat. Decently checked by Dugtrio, and shouldn't be switched in against Starmie.
this one is goofy and i dont really know how to feel about it. slash is definitely part of its kit though
Pokémon: Persian-Alola
Category: Dark
New Type: Normal
Stats: 65 / 75 / 70 / 85 / 100 (395 BST)
New Moves: Surf
Removed Moves: None
Competitive Overview: Persian-Alola is a frightening pokemon with being the second fastest sleeper & access to Amnesia allowing for scary set up attempts. It also has Taunt but its not usually worth running it.

- Amnesia

- Surf / Hyper Beam
Pokémon: Umbreon
Category: Dark
New Type: Poison
Stats: 60 HP / 110 ATK / 65 DEF / 65 SPC / 130 SPE
New Moves: Poison powder, Acid, Sludge, Hypnosis and Sword dance.
Removed Moves: Growth & non gen 1 moves.
Competitive Overview: If Jolteon and Vaporeon weren't enough to give Flareon inferioty complex then Umbreon kills any kind of dignity it had left, the moon stone eeveelution has the worst typing in the game yet manages to have niche in the RBY metagame, Umbreon is the FASTEST pokemon with hypnosis, sword dance AND taunt while also having a +100 attack on top.
-Sludge/Body slam/Hyper beam
-Double kick/Snarl
-Hypnosis
-Sword dance/Headbutt/Taunt
Umbreon can be extremely annoying to fight against with its surprisingly decent movepool and stats, however, don't forget that it's a frail poison type and most of its sets get walled by Ghosts or ground types.
Pokémon: Durant
Category: Steel
New Type: Bug/Ground
Stats: 60 HP / 110 ATK / 110 DEF / 50 SPC / 105 SPE
New Moves: Leech life, harden, Twineedle, Mega drain, Earthquake, heavy slam and sword dance.
Removed Moves: Thunder wave & anything that wasn't in RBY.
Competitive Overview: Durant is tied with Scyther for the fastest bug type in the game, but unlike Scyther it has one of the best dual types in the game (definitely the best among the bug mons at least), being Bug/Ground means it can safely switch in on jolteon (that isn't running body slam) and has a great match up against the rock types + Steelix.
-Earthquake
-Rock slide
-Twineedle/Heavy slam/Agility
-Sword dance/Harden
Durant can hit anything really hard, if something (that isn't itself) resists earthquake then it's weak to either rock slide or twineedle and with SD on top it can easily sweep; Agility can be useful to negate PRZ and against the likes of Zam and Starmie while Mega drain makes the rhydon/Steelix matchup better.
Pokémon: Grimmsnarl
Category: Fairy
New Type: Fighting
Stats: 90 HP / 105 ATK / 85 DEF / 80 SPC / 75 SPE
New Moves: Submission, heavy slam, harden, thunderbolt, thunder, Earthquake and Rock slide.
Removed Moves: Elemental punches + anything after rby.
Competitive Overview: Grimmsnarl is like a Machamp that gave up some of its attack for more bulk and speed, which kind of makes sense considering that it attacks with its hard body hair (ew) rather than its muscles. That hair also creates static electricity which is the in-universe reason why it can use electric moves btw.
-Low kick/heavy slam
-Taunt/body slam
-Thunderwave/Rock slide/Thunderbolt
-Earthquake/Lash out
Similar to tapu koko in someways, but the bulk and movepoll are enough to make it standout.
Pokémon: Malamar
Category: Dark
New Type:![]()
![]()
Stats: 86/92/88/92/73
New Moves: Surf, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Swords Dance, Body Slam, Hydro Pump
Removed Moves: Lash Out
Competitive Overview: okay so imagine Tentacruel but trade legitimately insane stats for a real typing and Thunderbolt. Malamar obviously faces MASSIVE competition from Starmie and Slowbro, but Malamar's unique traits of Swords Dance, Slash, and Hypnosis can give it a niche

Pokémon: Lucario
Category: Steel
New Type:![]()
![]()
Stats: 70/70/70/115/90
New Moves: Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Flamethrower
Removed Moves: Low Kick, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, Swords Dance
Competitive Overview: The plan is simple. Step 1. Vote in this Lucario as the mixed Fighting wallbreaker that Gardevoir could never be, thanks to HJK's lack of recoil, better coverage, and better bulk. Step 2. Buff Gardevoir by making it pure Psychic and giving it +20 HP. Step 3, You now have what Gardevoir should've been + an Amnesia-less Tradebacks Hypno.

Pokémon: Mimikyu
Category: Fairy
New Type:![]()
![]()
Stats: 55/54/80/80/106
New Moves: Lash Out
Removed Moves: N/A
Competitive Overview: Another Ground-weak Ghost. While Spiritomb has decent bulk and Fire Spin to let it act like a pivot that abuses Snorlax, Mimikyu uses its Ghost-typing to switch in on Normal-type moves and spread paralysis with TWave. It's much weaker than Jolteon, Zapdos, and Raichu and Raichu's Surf is a better anti-Ground move than Mimikyu's Lash Out, but the utility of the Ghost-typing alone make Mimikyu worth using, as it also allows Mimikyu to check the likes of Yveltal, Tapu Koko, and Altaria. It can even check other Electrics in a pinch as Slash by itself outdamages Jolteon and Zapdos can lose to Rest sets like it does to Jolteon. Like Spiritomb, Mimikyu sucks against Chansey (Slash only does 30% max and you don't have the moveslots for SD + Hyper Beam), but it also doesn't like Snorlax (because of a lack of ways to abuse it) or Tauros (as EQ always 2HKOs), so your non-Altaria Normals will still be fine against it if their name isn't Altaria.

Pokémon: Obstagoon
Category: Dark
New Type: Ground/Normal
Stats: 101/90/83/60/95 [429]
New Moves: Earthquake, Rock Slide, [Toxic, Bide and Rage universals]
Removed Moves: Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch
Competitive Overview: Effectively immune to paralysis so there's obviously some value here, especially with 101 HP subs. Blizzard weakness and low special keeps it in check that way. Pin Missile can offer some niche use vs the Psychics.
