I randomly stumbled upon skullgirls and it looks like a blast. It has such a unique presentation and a great sense of humor (Peacock saying "Garbage Day" firing her pistol put a pretty big smile on my face). The only bad part is, beyond online play, I wouldn't have anyone to play it with in real life. Plus, I'm sure a few family members would question if I was really playing the game for the fighting considering most of the designs.
For the past 8 months, a few others and I (with permission, ofc) have been working on a next version of Battle Capacity, the Smogon CAP Fighting game made by Cartoons! even though he ended his development of the game. While the game brings no new characters, it does massively change the gameplay as well as adding new moves and misc content to the game. While old Battle Capacity could be compared to, say, SFIV, this version might be more comparable to something in the King of Fighters series in terms of gameplay speed and such.
The download is a pretty hefty, be warned. But it's free! :3
So it's been a pretty fun weekend for the FGC...we had Shadowloo in Australia and Season's Beatings Summer Slam in Ohio. Both events had some really great stuff, but I'm gonna go against the grain and say I liked Season's Beatings more. I think it had better matches overall, but more than that the stream quality for SB was just so much better.
Also Mike Ross has the tensest matches anywhere js
did anyone catch NWM last weekend? It was awesome seeing John Choi come back to the scene even though he didn't seem to be used to SF4's system , and FChamp's "I'm willing to spend meter and XF" Phoenix was pretty godlike too

depends really, I dont expect high sales in europe at all and you mainly play this for the online experience, and I doubt many europeans will download it if Im totally honest.
anyone get to watch CEO last weekend? I missed the AE top 24 but seeing the battle logs there shouldve been some great matchups really :D
Yeah anybody that missed CEO this weekend really should go watch top 24 of AE, some really amazing matches and just amazing play all-around! Definitely best AE since EVO last year imo
AE 2k12 was pretty fun to watch from what I saw of it. Missed top 8 for Marvel because I was at a baseball game. Watching the archives, seemed like I missed some good matches.
Gotta say, I've been a big fan of fighting games since I started gaming, and MvC has always held a special place, especially since those EVO matches are just so damn awesome. I play UMvC3 on PS3, you can add me (FrostDragonX) if you'd like to play sometime. Warning: I'm terrible.
Man a lot of fighting game news seems to be overshadowed by EVO right now.
While there's no major tournament going on this weekend, there's still a packed schedule. SBO qualifiers for Street Fighter will be on Saturday (unsure if AE, 3S, or both) and Curleh Mustache 4: West Coast Edition will be on Sunday. -The 12 DLC characters are coming July 31st. Yes it was originally supposed to be released after the Vita release date, but they were able to move that up. All characters come bundled together for 20 USD.
-There will be a patch on July 31st alongside the DLC characters that comes with a few balance changes.
- Auto-Block and Auto-Tech gems have been changed so they take more meter to use, and they also take more meter away if you block or tech.
- Rolento's jabs cause 2 less frames of block stun, along with other changes.
- Xiaoyu crouching hard kick phoenix loops can only be done 3 times.
- Ryu, Ken and Akuma's Tatsumaki Sempuu Kyaku have had all their hitboxes reduced in size. The frame advantage on this move does on block has been reduced by 5 frames for all 3 characters and the moveset has also been decreased.
-Capcom is looking into ways to decrease the number of timeouts, but haven't settled on anything yet. Some solutions that may seem "obvious" introduce other negative consequences on the gameplay, which they want to avoid.

-Given a recent string of bad press and customer feedback, Capcom has changed their stance regarding on-disc DLC and stated they won't be using it anymore.
-Capcom confirmed (again) that they're not going to do anything else with UMvC3; no new characters, no balance changes, and things like TAC infinites won't be patched out. The team has been split up and moved to other projects, they can't pull them all back together to work on Marvel again.
-Capcom has stated that they would like to release CvS2 onto XBLA/PSN, but SNK isn't cooperating. Capcom has urged players to contact SNK directly and express their interest to them.

It seems like Capcom have good intentions of balancing SFxT, hurricane kick probably got a bigger nuff than it need just reducing the hitbox or increasing the underside hurtbox would of done the job. So they have fixed Relento's jab but not Raven's, Cammy's, ect..... Good work capcom!

So I recently picked up Skullgirls off Xbox Live, and even as my first true experience with hardcore fighters like this, I'm having a hell of a lot of fun. I suck majorly at it though, but no one succeeded in their first try lol.
Anyways, have we heard about any news as to when the first patches and DLC will come in yet?
