The English logos aren't that bad, maybe they look weird to us because we saw them in japanese first!

About legends i really like to have a lot of them to catch, they are not of much worth imo, but it's funny to have the side quest of add them to the pokedex.

Playing the game in Japanese shouldn't be that hard, i played back then a Japanese gold before the American release, and i went through the whole game without knowing what the hell they were saying, now the games have pictures, and colors to know the typing of moves, it's more intuitive than before. I'm going to try it in Japanese first!

I'm guessing they made palkia/dialga's catch rate so high because unlike most legendaries, you HAVE to catch them in order to continue on (at least in DP you do)

Or defeat them, but who would honestly do that. I am guessing that you don't have to face the legendaries in HGSS than with the exception of Suicune (due to Eusine being in the game).

They won't remake crystal...elements from crystal WILL be in HG/SS. You need Groudon and Kyogre to get Rayquaza.

not sure but for sure it will be an event pokemon or be in the remake of crystal

<_<
Right, firstly, I've red the articles and they aren't an event.
>Groundon is for Soul Silver
>Kyorgre is for Heart Gold

+

Crystal was a remake of Gold/Silver, a Remake of a Remake would be dumb right?

Why do people want the RBYGSC cries to change? It's like the only nostalgic thing left in the games after all these years. And actually if you open up one of the original games and listen to the Pokemon cries, you should notice that they've become more crisp and substantive over the generations.

The RBYGSC are ingrained into my head. I actually know a fair amount of people who recognize every single last RBYGSC cry.

Me. The first time I played through Yellow I killed Snorlax, the birds, and Mewtwo. I didn't know you could catch them >.>

I have to admit I'm one of those sad people, except it's not just the first two gens. There's a few I can't match the cries to but I'm pretty sure I know at least 400 of them. My sisters call me a nerd. I don't blame them.

There's no way cries are going to change in the same generation, people. The closest we've ever gotten to that is Skymin.

Can you guys try not to ask questions that are inherently unknowable and there is little to no point in pondering it (e.g. which gyms will be hard? - are any of them hard?)? It's less than a month before the game comes out so just hold tight with the hypothetical questions that cannot be answered now, but will be answered.

Did you guys notice in the video Arael posted on the previous page that you can hear Gold's footsteps as he walks? And even cooler, in Ecruteak when Gold is walking over leaves it makes a different sound... I just thought it was pretty cool, though the lack of music in the video was weird. Could you always turn off the in-game music and just hear the sound effects?

Something that occurred to me:

I think that the Pokéthlon will use the Record, History and Legend ribbons. They sound sporty to me. And if I remember rightly, they're bronze, silver and gold, which would really make sense. These 'medals' have to work somewhere, after all.

And no, you've never been able to turn the music off manually. Just a couple of glitches in the old games could make it all silent, iirc.

I am almost forgot that Morty was the fourth gym leader.

Also I am kind of confused how to get Magnezone in HeartGold and SoulSilver. Unless they make it so you can travel to Sinnoh...

Sometimes if people just think for a second they can get answers by themselves.

Like in FRLG, some pokemon will not be able to evolve. (Umbr/Espeons and miltoics) and this is becuase it would give new players an incentive to buy DPP if they want their precious location evolvers. Its called marketing.

And you should be burned at the stake just for even thinking that sinnoh will be in the games. It would be like economic suicude. Why destroy the sales of a game that is still pretty popular and that people still want to buy.

You also have to catch Groudon/Kyogre in Ruby/Sapphire, and their catch rate is only 5.

The English logos look shiny.

Speaking of Groudon/Kyogre, I find it sad that they are in the opposite games of the best GSC Legend that could go with it. Groudon makes sun, yet is with Lugia who can make rain and can use rain better. Kyogre makes rain, yet is with Ho-Oh who can make sun and use sun better. Why did they do that?

I think it is to give some difference between the type of pokemon,
Since Luiga is the Under-water king, and Kyorge the Water-king.....
Whilst
Ho-oh is the "fire king" and Groundon "Land-king'
But this is probarally wrong <_< can't explain it right.

Probably to get people to buy both games and trade them over, like what jujomi said about marketing. And what ZandgaiaX said about the contrast... Groudon = Ho-oh, Kyogre = Lugia. So they swap them.

Nintendo/Gamefreak whatever probably did that so to not make things "too easy" for you. Sun-boosted Sacred Fire would rip through a lot of shit.

Regarding the music, the producers could easily take out the background music if they wanted to, it doesn't have to be a feature in the game I think. They could've taken it out so to not "spoil" that music (lol). Or it could end up as a feature in the game which would be pretty cool imo, as I usually mute the music anyway but walking sound effects are interesting enough/not distracting.
