wailord will probably be like the buildings...so the space touching the ground will be one space, but there will be a lot more of it that sort of "hovers". that makes sense right?

In the video is that the cut-scene you get to see when you battle Ho-oh and Lugia? Thats pretty cool. Why was arceus in that video with them though?
That little arceus toy was in the video because if you pre order both HG and SS you get the arceus figure like the Giratina figure with platinum.

Who really hopes for longer routes especially in kanto? since with only a lv 56 typhosion and a lv 52 mahcamp and a lv 49 kadabara i beat the entir kanto region except for blue in 5 hours that is too short for 1 region even without hm barriers.

What are Apricorns? (I don't remember)
I agree with Wailord probably being 1x2 since as Porky said some places are 1 square wide.

Yay I can get a Larvitar early on (seems).

They probably traded it early on. I doubt they would put Larvitar anywhere except Mt. Silver, but let's hope they are logical and add them into Rock Tunnel :)

Apricorns are the fruit (? Berry whatever) that comes from Apricorn trees. You give them to Kurt in Azalea town and he makes special Pokeballs with them. Some of them include the Quick Ball, Moon Ball, and Heavy Ball. I really hope they're included. I loved all the different Pokeball types.

I don't think that the old balls will be back. I think that they'll just be replaced with the new ones (Fast ball becomes Quick ball, Lure Ball becomes Dive Ball etc) otherwise how would traded pokemon appear in DPPt who were captured in those balls?

Honestly, there are so many ways GameFreak could handle the Apricorn thing; there's just no way to tell what's going to be the outcome. I think, oddly enough, Notched-Ear Pichu might play a hand in deciding this, however. Let me explain.

If NEP is anything like Wormadame, Deoxys or Gastrodon, you'll never be able to trade it to DPPt, ever. In that respect, it would be similar to an exclusive item in that it's trading functionality would be limited. Or, to draw a more direct comparason, it's like trying to trade Rotom's Frost forme to DP. That is to say, it's impossible, because the Rotom forms don't exist there. Thus, Rotom has to revert to it's base state.

Assuming NEP cannot become a normal Pichu, it's forever stuck in HG/SS. The only way NEP could revert to a normal Pichu is if GameFreak used one of the unused bits in the Pokemon checksum to denote an alternate sprite, but kept the same index number for the Pokemon itself, so that DPPt just views the bit as nothing and ignors it.

If I'm not mistaken, there are several unused bits in the Pokemon checksum, still. So really, it's still a coin toss.

Will NEP have a seperate set of level-up moves, or will it have a different gender ratio or base stats? If so, then it will have to stay in HG/SS. In any other case, they may have developed a workaround.

In the event that NEP is just a cosmetic alteration of a normal Pichu with some event moves (moves it cannot relearn with Heart Scales), then it also opens up the door for any other "visual quirks" GameFreak wants to implement in any other Pokemon. Say... uh... a Sharpedo with a scar over one of it's eyes, or a Mawile with a striped pattern, etc.

So, likewise, if they used one of those blank checksum bits to denote a range of Pokeball sprites outside the usual range (Heavy Ball, Level Ball, etc.), they could also assign it a normal pokeball bit for... say a regular pokeball. When a Snorlax in a Heavy Ball is located in HG/SS, it would show as being inside a Heavy Ball, as the game would know to override the Pokeball bit for the Heavy Ball bit. However, when traded to DPPt, the normally unused bit would be discarded, and it would show up as a normal Pokeball.

All just theories, mind you.

GS ball, made by Kirk.
Kurt didn't make it though, he'd just examine it for a day and send you off to the Ilex Shrine.

As for the apricorns, someone's probably mentioned this already, but they could just as effectively replace them with berries originally reserved for Pokéblocks and Poffins, especially since we still have no confirmation as to whether or not they'll implement contests (though the fact that a ribbon icon appears on the Pokémon stat page seems to hint at it). After that, they could implement the old balls just as ANinyMouse suggested.

Aninymouse you can't trade gastrodon, wormamdam, and deoxys? Or do you mean that if you trade them to HGSS they changer form because Gastrodons color just depends on where its caught, don't really know about wormadam but I'm pretty sure its what move or item you evolve it with and I assume there will be the meteorites this game. I probably interpretated what you meant wrong though

Yeah, you didn't get what I was saying at all.

Basically, if NEP is just a regular Pichu with a different sprite, then everything should work just fine. BUT. But, if NEP has any other major differences to a normal Pichu, like stats, gender ratio or learned moves, then you'll never be able to trade it to DPPt.
