If they're not adding the entire region, then to say "You're going to Hoenn" if you're just cruising to an island is a bit of a stretch. As was pointed out above, the locations of Ho-oh and Lugia and Deoxys and so on were not listed as their respective regions when they were ported in FR/LG.

They won't add Hoenn region in an entirety, not so much because it will kill the 5th Gen remake, but more because it would be impossible to balance the game there. It would be nothing but a bunch of empty space with underpowered Gym leaders and trainers, just for the legendary. It would be a bunch of wasted programming when a much more convenient solution is just to move the legendaries elsewhere in the game.

As far as the remakes not adding anything, the entire Sevii Island complex wants a word.

EDIT: Also, Nintendo doesn't follow Shoddy's rulings on what is Uber. If it's a Legend, it can roam, as evidenced by all the roaming legends. Besides, the Lati@s twins roam. I also wasn't arguing with you when I said that K/G wouldn't roam, but I could see Rayquaza being released and roaming around the map.

nintendo does recognize ubers. Look at the VGC's. Their uber team differs but it is still present.

My point is that they define their allowable pokemon by themselves, not by considering popular or Smogon's particular tiers. Ubers is something we have, not them.

I have one question for Heart Gold and Soul Silver: how are you going to evolve Magneton and Nosepass? Don't you have to level them up in Mount Coronet for the evolution? Since Mt. Coronet is in Sinnoh, there has to be an alternative method to evolve them (or none, just like how you can't evolve Eevee into Espeon/Umbreon in Fire Red and Leaf Green). Sorry if this has been asked already...

Also, this might be off-topic, but would anyone know the logic behind the Mt. Coronet evolution thing (like, why not make them evolve at a certain level like all the other Poke's)? It just seems totally random.

Same thing goes with Leafeon/Glaceon; I'm guessing they're making new places/alter places for them to evolve. The eevees are fine as they can place that grass rock and ice rock somewhere. Magneton/Probopass need a magnetic area, so maybe they'll make a cave or something for them. There's a chance that they won't make them able to evolve, but I highly doubt it.

EDIT: Looks like the legendary beasts are available: http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk298/slowkingsley/wwwdotuporg222009.jpg

Wow
Serebii just did a major update on HG/SS

Lati@s and Mewtwo are all apperently able to be caught within the game.
Red Gyarados is Confirmed.
Lugia and Ho-Oh are lv 45.
the lv 1 Dialga knows Metal Burst, the Palkia knows Hydro Pump and Giratine knows Shadow Sneak.

There's some big news there.
Interesting how they're now making all of the Hoenn legends optainable in pt/hg/ss

Giratina with Shadow Sneak, wow interesting. I hope they somehow make Giratina-O available over Wi-Fi in HG/SS, though I doubt it.

Also, according to Pokebeach-translated from 2ch by Yaminokame

- Lati@s appear at Lv.30 in the game
- Lugia and Ho-oh have a "hidden ability"

Hidden ability gets me curious. Will it be part of the storyline? New formes (please no), a switchable ability?

The new moves are pretty interesting

Metal Burst Dialga can be used as a surprise punishment against Groudons and such

With SR and Spikes, Specs Hydro Pump from Palkia 2HKOes Blissey in the rain. Actually Modest Palkia, though may not be used much due to the speed drop, 2HKOes Blissey in the rain with Specs Hydro Pump with just Stealth Rock.

Shadow Sneak Giratina's pretty interesting. Although seemingly unorthodox, Choice Band Shadow Sneak nets a pretty good 56%-66% to Mewtwo.

Unfortunately these are only what I could think of for now.

That would certainly bring it up a notch. Extremespeed Dragonite seems a lot more likely too what with Eusene appearing. How would a Curse+Extremespeed Draggy fare do you think?

Also, does anyone get the feeling that they might have increased the levels of ingame trainers just from the level 45 cover legend? Even if they just increased the E4 levels, I can see why they would feel the need to increase the birds' levels by 5...

Would it make sense for Nosepass and Magneton to evolve in the Power Plant? I know it's a while till you get there, but it's still a possibility.

The Latis and Mewtwo being catchable isn't really a surprise to me. They've got to let you get them without Pal Park somehow for all of the DSi owners.

I was hoping the L1 Sinnoh Dragons would come with the other two trademark moves, but that wouldn't make sense much and would probably be delightfully broken.

That makes me wonder how you'll get the Beserker Gene, assuming Mewtwo is in Cerulean Cave still. Maybe he'll be holding it?

=[ The Beserk Gene was always my favorite novelty item. Useless in that Generation, but with Own Tempo Pokemon, it'd have been a sweet gimmick set.

If tauros gets extreme speed i suspect it would be used enough to go to OU
Berserk gene would make purugly have around 560 attack and base 112 speed
that would be very dangerous as well

the hidden ability for lugia and hooh are probably in game things imo

Red Gyarados get! And also Eusine!

The Latis and Mewtwo are unconfirmed also, according to Serebii. They'll update the update apparantly when more news comes.

Everything I was hoping is coming true. Eusine is back, Ho-oh has SOMETHING new (Magic Guard as its new ability y/n? y), Latibros and Mewtwo being catchable, possible Extremespeed tutor...

I'll die a happy man if there's also some kind of ability tutor.

And fuck, just look at this: http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk298/slowkingsley/wwwdotuporg222009.jpg

The dogs are fucking awesome.

And FUCK, there's a battle with Lugia on that page. We need better scans, aaaaaaaa

Nice dogs.

The top right screenshot looks to be of a wild Entei, too. Uuuurgh these Japanese anons know how to annoy people, lol. They probably cut out the important parts of the scans on purpose. =P

Ability tutor? if they did that, that'd be awesome *_*. Magic Guard Ho-oh will spam more use of Ho-oh in the Uber tier, and if Lugia gets something like Air Lock that'd be cool.
