How did you create your username?

My username is the last name of my character, Iske Veedrock. Created him on WWE Day of Reckoning, which was my primary board on GameFAQs (hence I'm a DoR Original), and he just became my virtual identity.

My nickname is a paradox.

Of course, in real life, my name is Doug. In my circle of real life friends, we call everyone by nicknames. All my good friends have nicknames, and they go by them. My friends used to tease me because, for all the time we had been friends, I never acquired a "real" nickname. So, they actually would make fun of me by saying that my nickname was "Doug... just Doug". And whaddya know -- that teasing phrase about my LACK of a nickname -- actually became my nickname!

So, I'm DougJustDoug everywhere online or anywhere else a nickname is used.

My username comes from my favorite RPG of all time Xenogears. Not much to say other than my avatar also comes from Xenogears as he is a boss battle in the game. x]

Some of you may know that I am Mexican, not of African decent. My family is very light skinned almost all of them have very light skin and green eyes. I even have some cousins who are blond and have blue eyes. Then there is me. I'm the dark one. Since i stick out like a blak sheep, my siblings started to call me "blakness" to make fun of my skin tone.
Others of you may know that i play melee, quite a lot. When i started to play i had to think of a tag and "blakness" would not fit so i simply shortened it to "Blak."
When i decided to make a youtube account, those names were taken so i put the name of my favorite pokemon on the end. and from that moment onward I became BlakBlastoise everywher on the Internet.

Well, I was a Shoddy user before becoming a Smogon member. My favorite Pokemon has always been Dragonite and so I chose that... only it was already taken as a username on Shoddy... so I added an "s" to the end. Several months later I was talking to Skiddle- it turned out that he had taken the username I originally wanted.

So, when I became a Smogon member, I kept to it after months of being dragonites. For some reason, kind of like chaos is never spelled Chaos, I never capitalized the D. It pisses me off when people say, "Hey Dragonites!" I do accept dnites, however.

My name here, MagisterMagi87, is partly based off of MagicMaster87 (the name I usually use but couldn't here because of my own stupidity - check the name change request thread for details), and partly off of my favorite anime, Mahou Sensei Negima. The magic-users in Negima are called "magister magis", so the change ought to be obvious.

As for my normal username, I originally chose it because magic-users tended to be my favorite characters in videogames, and '87 is the year I was born. Unfortunately, I get a lot of questions about if my name means that I'm good at Magic: The Gathering, which I've never played. >_>

Socrates (my favorite philosopher, who also developed my favorite method of teaching) + 03 (three, an oft-recurring number in my life, as well as the Nintendo games I adore). I've had this screenname for over four years now.

I am honestly not trying to be obnoxious by using letters as numbers.

Thorns cause his horns.

no seriously no one can use 'hornz' as their username, so I added a t and changed the z to an s!

I don't think my name needs explanation, does it? Well, I'll give a backstory anyway...

The first online forum I joined was a Yu-Gi-Oh! message board back in 2003. When picking a name, I wanted to be cheesy and use "HeartOfTheCards" since I thought no one would be cheesy enough to pick it, but of course that name was taken--so I switched it around and stuck with it.

I usually use my actual nickname everywhere online, but Jimbo was already taken here. Being the scrub I am I added my birthday and voila.

silly yank putting the month before the day tut tut

Antichrist. People wouldn't battle me with that name on NetBattle, so I shortened it there. Figured it wise to do the same here. As much as I am a blatant athiest, I'm not the spawn of satan and won't hate you for having an imaginary friend.

Now, it's Count Anti... to you.

My nickname online was X-Act ever since I first used the internet for the first time... which, if I recall correctly, was about 13 years ago.

The story behind it is the following. Ever since I was young, I used to write my own computer games. I then decided that my games need a software name. In the early 90s, not every game was written by software companies... this still holds true to this day actually. I remember rather stupid software names, so I thought "why not mine too?"

And I chose my software name to be 'X-Act Software'. Later on, I found out that 'X-Act Software' already existed, and hence I changed it to 'X-Act Creations'. In fact, I still have an email address that contains the characters 'xactcreations' to this day. And I had posted this game here that I had written many years ago, if anyone is interested.

When I went on mIRC for the first time (at around 1997-1998) the nickname 'X-Act' was the obvious choice. From then onwards, whenever I wanted a user name or a nickname, I always chose 'X-Act'.

My name is joshua. yeah.

it used to be josh-ua, because that was my netbattle and shoddy name, but I realized joshua wasn't taken so I changed it.

Go figure. I was looking for a new nick and happened to be watching a SA1 Final Boss video. Boss' name was Perfect Chaos. Do the math.

But now it's kinda boring. I'm thinking of changing it to Constant Motion or Dream Theater (go figure again)

A friend when I was little couldn't pronounce Erik, my name, which I remembered while trying to come up with a user name. Of course, then it was Ekimaster, but how that ending came to be you can figure out yourself (though you'd probably be partly wrong). Why it was removed is pretty obvious.

I was looking for a user name once while going on ESPN fantasy football. The Steelers had just won the super bowl, so I was think about them a lot. I started think about Terry Bradshaw, and the name was created.

Old- an old player Steel- Steelers 12- Bradshaw's number

Huge fan of this game

B-rock's my nickname.

To my surprise there was already a B.Rock that I hadn't noticed. I should have lurked more and I could have sworn I used the search function, but I really didn't see it coming. Sorry for any confusion.

I used to be a huge fan of Lost and Mr. Eko was undoubtedly one of the best characters in the whole series. So yeah, Eko and echo are pronounced pretty much the same way, so I turned Eko into Echo.

I also use DistantEchoes quite often. That in turn has its origin in two song names. Distant by VNV Nation and Dust And Echoes by God Is An Astronaut.

I used to use IT or ITclown some years ago but I got bored of it due to the fact that that it was hard to use that name because people thought it meant Information Technology rather than the clown created by Stephen King.
