Yeah, with a rating at 1442, I don't think I'm gonna pull this out of the crapper in 45 minutes. I'm out.
With that, I think I'll post the team that got me through this tournament, even if we weren't always... successful.
Dragonite@Lum Berry
Adamant nature
Multiscale
*don't remember the EVs, but I'm pretty sure they were mostly in Attack and Speed*
~Roost
~Dragon Claw
~Dragon Dance
~Fire Punch
I didn't use Dragonite all too often, but when I did, it was really impressive. Multiscale isn't quite as impressive in doubles, as it's only too easy for the opponent to gang up on Dragonite, but mine still did just fine.
Galvantula@Wise Glasses
Timid nature
Compoundeyes
255 Sp. Atk/255 Spd
~Bug Buzz
~Energy Ball
~Thunder
~Charge Beam
I used Galvantula fairly often and to good effect mostly. Usually what I would do is send it in against something that was already considerably weakened, and finish it off with Charge Beam, usually reaping a Special Attack boost in the process. And of course, the incredibleness that is Compoundeyes Thunder cannot be emphasized enough. Whenever my opponent packed a Politoed, I chose Galvantula.
Zweilous@Eviolite
Adamant nature
Hustle
255 HP/255 Atk
~Crunch
~Protect
~Fire Fang
~Outrage
Anyone remember this little two-headed puppy from the Autumn Friendly? I was so blown by its remarkable performance in that tournament that I couldn't not include it this time around. And it rarely disappointed. This time, though, there was some Hustle-born accuracy hax, and it cost me a match or two. But the victories made up for it.
Yanmega@Expert Belt
Modest nature
Speed Boost
255 Sp. Atk/255 Spd
~Protect
~Bug Buzz
~Air Slash
~Shadow Ball
Hitmontop@Muscle Band
Adamant nature
Technician
*don't remember the exact EVs, but I know Attack was maxed out*
~Bulldoze
~Fake Out
~Aerial Ace
~Mach Punch
I led every single match with Yanmega and Hitmontop. First turn was always Yanmega's Protect and Hitmontop's Fake Out. The two worked well together, and could also function just fine if forced to work solo.
Gengar@Life Orb
Timid nature
Levitate
255 Sp. Atk/255 Spd
~Shadow Ball
~Sludge Bomb
~Focus Blast
~Thunderbolt
I didn't actually use Gengar all that often. It was usually Hitmontop, Yanmega, Galvantula, and one of the two Dragon-types. Worked fairly well when I did use it, though.
And here's the numbers for two battle videos of some pretty decent matches.
84-09867-75135 (Two heads are better than three!)
40-65423-31575 (Took no damage whatsoever!)
