Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, what do you use??

I've been using google chrome for a pretty long while, and I have to say that I will probably never use another browser. It has everything I need, convenient bookmarking and tabs, plenty of extensions, fast, and of course simple to use.
 
firefox, amazing extensibility and does not lag on my computer

eta: also, i see you don't know many browsers; if you're interested, wikipedia has a good comparison list of browsers :) major browsers include internet explorer, mozilla firefox, google chrome, safari, and opera
 
I use Chrome for 99% of my browsing and I use Firefox to play Quake Live.

NoScript for Chrome would be pretty great though.
 
my quad core processor makes light work of firefox's supposedly slow startup time. chrome's incognito browsing is better for porn/terrorist activity/hiding your ability to cook though

also my firefox has a cooler skin than any google chrome will ever have by virtue of better (read: more familiar) interface

ie gets a lot of hate because of how bad ie6 and previous incarnations of ie were. i'd say it's still the worst of the 'big three' but it is a solid choice if you can't get firefox or chrome. ie9 is much improved
 
I had Firefox for a very long time, then it ceased to work. Swapped to Chrome and I will probably never use Firefox again.

opera >>>> ie, imo, though ie has come a VERY long way, i admit, since they don't have a monopoly on windows browsers anymore...
 
i've got to admit that i'm a bigger fan of having individual tabs crash instead of the entire program, which is a big part of why i use Chrome

it's also a lot more in-line with my aesthetic setup on Ubuntu which isn't really a good reason to have it but it does what i need it to and i have absolutely no complaints with it, which i could never say for firefox (lag upwards of 90k, crashing problems, etc)

chrome all the way bb

i use incognito a lot too when a friend is over and needs to check their facebook or whatever, saves me the hassle of them re logging into my saved fields on facebook / tumblr / what.cd / what have you
 
firefox has the free software advantage over opera and chrome but those two are both quite a lot faster. my beef with firefox and chrome is that they have a serious lack of default features. getting everything from third parties is a pain.

since nobody's mentioned it yet, i might as well point out that opera has full support for extensions as of version 11, so as far as i know the extensibility argument is toast

I haven't really wanted or needed to use any extensions with my browser, which I think is partly why I picked Chrome over Firefox.
 
I have Explorer and Firefox, but I use Chrome more. Explorer is basically useless: it's extremely slow and doesn't have much going for it. Firefox is much better than Explorer, but the reason I use Chrome more is the speed.
 
I used to use IE, then Firefox, then IE again. But for the longest time I've been using Chrome because of how efficient it is.

I've been trying out IE9 lately but it's like an inferior version of Chrome.
 
I use firefox because it's got some cool add-ons and I like the layout but it is a bit of a memory hog so I keep saying I'm going to switch to Chrome some time.
 
Firefox for the same reasons as everyone else here. It's got cool add ons and I can personalize the way I want. I haven't tried chrome, but I've had no reason to test anything other than firefox.
 
In Linux Format's testing in July 2010, running on Fedora 12, Chrome used significantly more memory than Firefox. Opera used slightly more than Fx. Of course, that was half a year ago.

I think when Firefox 4 has its stable release, I might give it, Chrome, and maybe some others a bit of a comparison.
 
i was wondering how long it would be before a discussion about web browsers surfaced

they're inevitably followed by discussions of operating systems

I use chromo as my browser, due to the curves

and haiku as my OS since it's pure new awesome

Chrome will eat even more. Each separate tab is its own process.
 
I have a Mac and my main browser is Safari. However, I've been trying Chrome now and again. Its a great browser dont get me wrong. I really want to like it, but its missing a few key things such as print preview of all things and better PDF support. It does a feel a tad smoother than Safari at times though.

I'm not a big extension guy so Safari meets my needs just fine. I also like its clean, minimalist interface and the way it manages tab as well as its tight integration with OS X. I just wish it wasn't such a memory hog.

Firefox downright sucks on Macs in my opinion.
