League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

I have usurped your role as the alpha-child, come trondomere vs. trondomere me on euw to reclaim your position

stfu both

So Thresh is stupidly OP, the amount of CC and damage he provides is nuts. Granted he can be kited by certain champions (Frozen Fist Ezreal comes to mind) but other than that there is no way to deal with him other than to just outplay him. His hook is better than a Blitz grab and his ability to simultaneously engage OR disengage better than pretty much any other champion brings such a stupid amount of utility to the table. And we haven't even seen people get good with him yet/good at utilizing his lantern for escaping.

Plz nerf

Cleanse on your ADC works well against Thresh. Sure it has a long cooldown, but you should be able to stand behind minions and whatnot for a little while.

I actually had a funny instance as Corki against Thresh. He hooked me and tried to jump to me but I Cleansed out of it and Valkaried away, taking him with me. If Singed had known what he was doing, we might have been able to get a kill out of it (we did burn Flash, though.)

They're almost certainly lowering his damage ratios; just look at what they did to Lulu.

0.5/0.4/0.4/1.0 isn't much to get at, especially since his R requires you to be near the enemy for maximum effect. Furthermore, his base numbers are pretty bad. There's nothing really that you can nerf about him but they do I'd think about toning down the amount that each soul gives (aka make him hit its minimum value faster). Also yea, I feel like the lantern range is too high. There's also something about his auto attack, I think it's that it comes out super fast compared to someone with similar AA range like Janna, but that's not a big deal. There's also no reason to have the bonus AD portion on his Q, the fact that he gets more damage in and of itself and it's not just the hook is good by itself. It's just too much stuff that's unnecessary.

Just a thought:

(Inspired by SD's infinity edge stacking Jayce concept)

With all the nerfs in attack speed and overall buff in ad items (and also subsequently the decrease in AD carries' strength), something stood out in all this chaos and that's Jayce's ranged W, which at max rank gives him MAX attack speed and extra 30% damage for 3 autos, on a 6 (min 3.6) sec cooldown. In other words, Jayce can just build AD and cdr, instead of AD and atkspeed, and have a dps that probably outdoes every carry except maybe Vayne. Oh and it's also an autoattack reset too. Plus, since you're building cdr instead of AS, you can spam your other abilities too (and Jayce has lots of utility behind them).

The build would be something like Ionian Boots/Cleaver/BT/Ghostblade/Warmogs/Infinity Edge, which gives you 39% cdr (if you include the cdr mastery @offense), 30 base arpen (on its own), and 40% crit (5% more than triforce ez, though no one really builds that anymore i think). Activating W gives you approximately +110 AD for 3 attacks and the bonus can also crit. Despite his 500 range (which, is shared by Sivir and she does fine. If necessary Jayce can transform and QW auto E for a quick disengage and re-transform), could we perhaps see more carry styled Jayce in the future?

Jayce really seems better as a top laner just because he is such a strong laner against melees. In a ranged lane I don't think he'd do nearly as well due to his short range, he would just die of a million paper cuts to things like nunu/caitlyn.

We Dominion players have figured this out since like Jayce's release...

So would Jayce like sword of the divine then? How viable is that item at all in this meta?

SotD is honestly an item that I would never buy on anyone. Partly because I forget to use active items half the time, and partly because it just sucks 90% of the time.

That being said, there are some pretty hilarious ways to abuse it, like on Malphite or Kayle, so if you think you can benefit from it then buy it.

Also...

Saw this, thought it was pretty funny.

SotD Malphite is more hilarious, you 100-0 the enemy AD/AP mid if they don't have any defensive items and they can't get out of it because they're knocked up.
