A neat trick that I found on TT (others probably found it too) is that you can cap altars while recalling. I don't know if this is intended but if you start a recall after you start capturing an altar you'll finish the capture and then finish the recall channel almost immediately after.

To be fair I've only been playing for 3 weeks and it was my 3rd time with Janna lol
So I just got my 10 win IP boost, and I was thinking of buying Elise because she looks like a lot of fun, without being as hard to learn as Zed looks like he'll be.
Would you guys who actually bought her recommend her?
Also, what kind of build is best on her? I was thinking I was going to do an AD build with Frozen Mallet, Wit's End/Ionic Spark, and basically play as a frontline bruiser instead of an assasin.

AD isn't very good on her. I would recommend her if you like champs that are fun and unique but not very good. There's probably other 6300 IP champs you don't have that are better and just as interesting tbh.
Usually if I'm doing well I go AP/AS. The AS makes her W in Spider Form rip most champs to shreds, and most of her attacks go off AP soooo.
Frankly I think she needs a slight buff in some areas. Her skillshot stun is brutally difficult to land, she's pretty frail and gets downed easily in team fights so it's hard to contribute, etc.
I like Kha'Zix and Zyra most out of that group. I pick Zyra like 99% of the time as mid because you can win any lane except stupid shit like Talon. Even bad lane matchups like that you can use her plants to push and gank other lanes to make up for being shut down in lane. Her ult is my favorite AP mid ult. It's like a not as good Orianna ult but because of the frenzy on your plants it ends up being strong even when your timing/placement isn't as good.
Kha'Zix is an incredibly fun jungler who really feels like a jungler. His kit depends on isolating your target and getting the drop on them. Not just running facefirst at a squishy and being OP like Rengar. Using his evolved spikes to proc his slow is so satisfying.

I vote Nocturne. It's so hilarious when you pull off a kill with his ult. And his ult is just so terrifying...
I bolded the coolest ones. I'm actually surprised you don't own Fizz, Naut, or Darius yet considering the amazing amount of champs you own! They seem like some of the coolest and most used champs!
I now play Olaf simply because he makes a penis joke.
Took me a while to get the hang of Elise, but boy does she pay off...
Honestly, this was the game it just clicked. It probably went along with me starting to use spider form Q as a dash instead of a finisher, and just building a vamp scepter instead of wriggles.

also the problem with AD [bruiser] Elise is she has no ad/aspd scalings, her aspd steroid is only for 3 seconds in melee form and you did not itemize for CDR to get it back up faster, and her base AD/ASPD are horrendous. Bruiser Elise focused on AD will ALWAYS be outclassed by everything else ever, you might as well build AD Anivia or Zilean lol.
if you had an actual elo above 700 you could never do that Elise build, the minimal defensive stats from spider form are simply not enough to withstand a teamfight doing even less damage than AP bruiser Elise does.
lol.. if you want to go AD bruiser for the aspd steroid itemize CDR or you will be even more useless than you already were.
so far best Elise build seems to be triple mpen + froheart and then situational.. Rylai's/GA/whatever suits the game. Sorcs/Guise/Abyssal. She doesn't scale well with much of anything honestly so tanky AP bruiser with mpen is the most useful way to go.
