League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

Seems like she'd work as a jungler too though. Double aoe aa that charges up over time, a rush through that only damages minions(only stops when hitting champs and only knocks those back). Also an AS boost every third attack(If she can land 3 attacks in 4 seconds with the buff, she will constantly have it up in camps). Her ult seems great for ganks, and if the knockback of Q doesn't depend on the charge time, you can instantly knock them into your team(it appears you end up behind your target when you ult, so it is perfect).(heck it seems potent enough that you can easily get kills by simply walking into the lane and click your ult on someone. Get Boots 5, run right through the lane, click ult, combo into Q, heck if given enough time(no idea how much time the animations waste of the suppress) you can proc the second charge of W with an insta aa/E and then proc the full W with the knockback, reducing enemy armor dealing % damage and gaining AS, which most likely will translate into another W procing)

Q also provides an option for earlier ganks(kinda like alistar ones, just with a not point and click way, and no knockup to combo with)

Also there seems to be a range indicator around the target of her ult, what exactly does happen to those inside it? Do they take the full damage also, or just a bigger area where they can also receive the 75% damage?

Yay....we get melee Vayne with reliable CC.

On the other hand, I think she's the first human female since Diana that doesn't wear a ridiculously skimpy outfit, so props to Riot's art team on that.

Oh, and Vi's hidden taunt on Caitlyn is hilarious.

boy i sure am glad they're making another high damage high mobility top lane bruiser!!

with all the negativity about her being overpowered and such (really, riot knows what they are doing when it comes to releasing balanced champions), I'm glad to see you are excited for vi :toast:

Save up another 6300 and get both? Nami isn't out quite yet and Vi won't be out until sometime next month (Nami is supposed to be the final champ this year iirc), so you have plenty of time!

I agree with marthy, too. Janna is super dope (and good vs. kill lanes, btw, unless you walk into melee range and get stunned or whatever) and should be picked more often. People abandoned her, as usual, for no real good reasons. As queen disengager, she still has her place, especially with such a fundamentally strong kit. What makes you guys think she's worthless? Because nobody is picking her, or what? Interested to hear your reasons!

475 range, and lulu does everything janna does in lane but with lower cool downs and more reliably

In other words, Janna deserves a major quality of life update. The new season updates along with all the alternatives that exist make her obsolete.

Honestly the only thing that Janna can still be used for is protecting Kog'Maw, which she probably does better than anyone else in the game. Kog'Maw is the most bs non Black Cleaver champion atm, so that alone should get Janna a bit more usage. Teemo is OP too. Fuck Hurricane.

I love how everybody was like, "wat you talking about janna is great!" yesterday and they're all like ,"yeah Janna sucks now and needs QoL buffs" today.

On the other hand, just bought Karma to play support. Anybody have any tips for her? I know she's ridiculously high skillcap, which is why I kind of failed my first game as her but didn't do all that bad in the second game. Seems like her mantra shield on minions is great for harassing under enemy towers.

Vi actually made me appreciate the quantity of nearly-identical female champs I have purchased for 6300 IP, all in revealing, skintight outfits with tig ole bitties and long, flowing hair adorned with a headdress. And skins with tig ole bitties and long flowing hair.

However, I would like to thank Riot for Vi. Finally a new non-male champ I don't have to buy, since, you know, I buy female champs, not bulldyke apes.

ugly as SIN design my word.

Also I think Janna still does her job effectively, nobody beats her at peeling in teamfights and I actually think because she still has some semblance of AP ratios the new season was very kind to her - maxing W and grabbing Kage's and Banner alongside your early Philo, as well as the Boots/MS change, means you can put off buying Boots 1 for ages while building some AP and having great poke. If you play Janna passively only you aren't playing her right because she can be played quite aggressively and is a great support to ensure kills if your jungler ganks.

That said, I do think giving Lulu like 6 skills to work with when a lot of theirs are similar, and Nami being able to go much more aggressive while peeling pretty well too and having a much better, Sona-like initiate ult (instead of Janna having to flash ult), is just stupid while Janna was continually nerfed. She needs the Q channel time --> longer knockup time gone, everyone else has like instant CC that doesn't need to wait 4 seconds to actually knock someone up for a useful amount of time.

koi nami adorable tho :3

You don't pick Janna for her lane strength because she is weaker than Lulu in lane, you pick her for her teamfighting/peeling/scrimishing capabilities.

Also Nami's Q is ass to hit and Janna's shield will still do more damage because it doesn't have an attack cap, it just lasts until the shield breaks. Janna's still much better at disengaging because her ult is instant, whereas Nami has her little animation before the actual wave comes out and only knocks them up, not away (akin to Lulu ult).

Now, people think that playing Riven full damage is the best, and only build. Rushing BT is the only way to go apparently. Is there something wrong with rushing Merc Treads on Riven when fighting a AP Carry top?

Which is what I got. I was being criticized for not getting a bloodthirster.

imo mercs delays your damage too much and forces you to play passively while if your first buy is something like mantle+doran's you can be more aggressive. hexdrinker before mercs lets you survive while still having a lot of burst.

just played kha'zix mid and had quite a lot of fun with it. like lee sin he can bully around a lot of the conventional mids - in this case, i was up against karthus and wrecked him.

What? They don't stack more reduction, they just get to max stacks faster.
this is very true, but while the armor pen and CDR on brutalizer is unique, the stats on cleaver are not

basically if you get two cleavers you have 500 health, 100 AD, 20% CDR, 30 armor pen, and apply two shred stacks per physical damage tick

with four cleavers that's 1k health, 200 damage, full CDR, 60 flat armor pen, and immediate full effectiveness on black cleaver the moment you deal any physical damage to someone

obviously running four cleavers isn't practical but i have seen people run two or three of them with great success. just ran double cleaver on kha'zix as a matter of fact.

So I went ahead and bought Nami. How are y'all building her? I just screwed around and bought all the new shit in the blind pick normal I just played with her. Also, landing her q is hard as hell. I'm a beast at straight line skill shots but those aoes are a bitch.

go for a Q if they stop inside their own creeps to last hit, or if they're chasing. I've had a small sample of success with heal/flash and an early eleisa's on supports in S3
