League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

So, I've been wondering about this for a while, but I finally decided to post it now that I don't have to worry about unexpectedly hitting my 1k.
-top lane: Irelia/Darius/Jax/Olaf
-mid lane: Katarina OR Katarina counter
-bot lane: Ezreal+any support OR Graves+Taric/Leona
-Jungle: Tanky support junglers

none of those bolded tops r great. i dunno where errbody says jax an olaf are so 'op' etc, they almost always do -meh- in my games. in fact i dont even remember last time i was worrying about jax or olaf. 2 second dodge all auto atks does not make this guy op. it just means he gets baited into 1v5 9/10 times and just blow up. olaf is just a slab of hp, nothing more, no true dmg scale, no nothing. just hp. irelia got fizz's weapon up her butt in s3

On a skill level rating from 1-100, you need to be +20 above the other person to beat them with a weaker matchup.

No not really, you can't quantitatively measure someone's skill level because it's impossible. Just be better than them and you can win any matchup. If you know how to play against that champion period, just adapt your playstyle towards beating that champion.

I thought that Jayce was in that holy quadrangle and not Olaf... Olaf is much much stronger in jungle this season just because his clear doesn't even require health pots.

Some games are just not your games to win.

I'm pissed. I just lost a game because Ezreal is better than any other AD carry. If your not playing Ezreal, your losing. And if you are, you might still be losing because your playing against Ezreal.

*you're
*you're
*you're

ezreal is really not that hard to deal with in lower elos. caitlyn in particular is excellent against him while graves/corki can trade with him and have higher burst and kog'maw/vayne have a better late-game. a well-played ezreal at higher ELOs is much more difficult to beat in lane but it's clearly possible as shown by recent tournaments (ezreal has had about a 50% winrate regardless).

simple solution: ban ezreal xD

on a side note, I just picked up Lee Sin today, and he's hella fun, probably one of my new favorites

Ok, I've learned two things in the past few days from either watching or playing PvP games:

1. 4 poke + 1 assassin/bruiser usually wins. Nidalee, Kog'maw, Ezreal, Lulu, Nami, etc. with someone like Darius or Katarina wins most of the games I'm watching.
2. No one knows how to turtle or what to do when they're behind in general. When the enemy Blitzcrank, Vi, and Ezreal just stopped pushing mid, that doesn't mean it's safe for your Ezreal to go out and try to farm wraiths. And people continue to try and harass/kill their lane opponent when they're down 3 levels instead of trying to farm.

Edit: And a 3rd thing. Lulu's base damage on her spells and extra pix damage means even support Lulu can do serious damage if she's not getting focused. I was able to keep their Ez off of our Ez at one point in the laning phase just by attacking him and I ended up killing him.

we played against one yesterday that got about all of her ganks right and gave the other team a huge lead, she didnt counterjungle though, probably would have screwed us more if she did

How should i build Xin this season?

Straight damage, or slightly tanky?

For reference, I've been starting Boots/3pots, rushing Sheen, then building a Trinity Force, then Warmog's for the health, then either Youmuu's or Black Cleaver.

Vi jungle has very strong ganks, I haven't tried her clear though so that may be terrible. As far as I can tell it works fine though.

If you can actually hit her q ._. I saw Wings playing her and it has a really odd hitbox. Sometimes it'd hit minions quite far from her model in the middle of the dash, and other times it'd entirely miss champions that seemed to be right at the place the dash ended.

you'll need something defensive if you want to survive to deal your damage, since you're melee and your ult steroid isn't going to be sufficient when their whole team is trying to peel you off their carry

I don't play Xin, so this is kinda theorycrafting, but I'd probably go something along the lines of:

Defensive Boots/wriggles (if jungling)/phage/black cleaver/triforce or fromal/GA/mercurial scimitar

That's probably a shitty build, but it works in my head!

Been playing LoL for a little while now, and while I'm nowhere near good, I'm not as bad as I used to be. XD

I normally play Pantheon and Master Yi, thinking about either getting Maoki or Kha Zix. Would they be worth my time?

So I play a lot of mid these days... Is Cassiopeia worth picking up? I've heard some good things about her and I'm pretty good with skill shots (i.e. lux, Karthus, ezreal). She seems like a pretty powerful pick.

Btw screw kat

Cass does even or counters a lot of lanes and can hypercarry lategame. If your range forces you to stand in creeps to last hit you're pretty much fucked against Cass. Kat incidentally doesn't do awful against Cass and might stomp new Cass players
