Just play safe man. AP carries are very strong even wihtout items.
i downloaded this stupid game only to realize that the PBE sign ups are currently closed (i'm on a mac!!!) and so i cannot play even after enduring the increasingly long wait for full installation/patching. *sobs*
thankfully, there seems to be a patch? update? releasing in a week and a half that should alleviate all the woes for mac users like myself, and come that time i will be eager to succumb to this gaming addiction like the rest of the planet!! a friend suggested i use "ahri" as my soul mate champion, but apparently i have to earn her first… so i have no idea who i'll play as initially. we'll find out in 1.5 weeks!

How do you play on PBE if you use a PC??
Hey, so as some of you may or may not know, I write article coverage on major LoL events with eSports Central. It's a lot of fun, especially if you already watch a lot of tournament coverage, and you get compensated for your work with merchandise, steam codes, RP cards, et cetera. With LCS NA and LCS EU going on now, and IPL6 coming up soon, we're actually looking for more writers - so if you're interested in writing some coverage on tournaments you're probably going to watch anyway, let me know and I'll give you some contact info.

What do you guys think of speccing into full AoE damage on AD carries? I tried it earlier today, and I did pretty well with it
I was playing Graves, who normally rushes BT into PD, but I don't like using the Bloodthirster because you never know if your team is going to give you time to farm up BT stacks or just start stupid fights over and over again. So instead, I rushed BotRK into Runaan's Hurricane and flat out shredded the entire enemy team at once in teamfights. I think it was particularly good on Graves because he can reset his Quickdraw cooldown ridiculously quickly with the Hurricane.
My final build was Berzerker's Greaves, BotRK, Runaan's Hurricane, and The Black Cleaver, but I would probably have picked up Furor Boots, Last Whisper, and Frozen Mallet in no particular order.

Dunno why you'd build Fro Mal on him. You're probably better off tossing Infinity Edge in there over Fro Mal. IE will always be the goto item for any adc because of the raw damage you get from the crits. Plus the reason why people run crit on ranged AD Carries (IE+PD/Shiv) is because you'll be hitting critical hits more often which is more damage than going Fro Mal, etc. That's why you wouldn't build it. If you wanted a defensive item you'd be better off with Warmogs or GA or even Merc Scimmy.

Nah it'll only proc on the initial target (well...the AOE around the initial target, not 3 slowing fields.

Yeah, I was gonna take Mallet because it lets me kite 3 people while only giving me 300 less health then Warmogs. Mercurial Scimtar, Guardian Angel, and Banshee's are all great last item options too.
Infinity Edge is a great item, but it doesn't fit in great with BotRK and Hurricane. If you're gonna go AoE health shredding machine, you've gotta go all the way.
If you do BotRK/Hurricane/Cleaver like I've been doing a few games today, you'll usually lose 1v1s against carries using the traditional IE/PD/BT build, but when will you ever be just straight up 1v1ing the other carry? It's a team game and BotRK/Hurricane/Cleaver is better at straight up killing enemy teams instead of just single players.
What's the only thing deadlier than a fed Vayne?? A fed Vayne with max stacks on sword of the occult!! Seriously this item is really underrated. When you get max stacks, it gives you more AD than any other item in the game. Plus it only costs 1200 gold, so it's not like it's a huge investment. Try it out!! It works really well. If you combine this with guardian angel, you will never lose your stacks.
I've made the decision. I need to play nothing but ADC's until I can play them at an adequate level.

I think Vayne snowballs pretty well if she can get a kill early, but she doesn't do so well early on that, except against terrible opponents, she's likely to be stacking Sword of the Occult fast enough to make it worthwhile. Plus she may well lose her stacks before she can build another damage item + GA. Sword of the Occult is a super risky item and Vayne is easy to prey upon. 1200g is a lot in lane, lol. Just get a Bloodthirster.
If you know you're a really good vayne and their dive/assassination isn't super strong, maybe. But I can't think of many times that will be the case, and if you were strong enough to stack a SotO, odds are that you would have won with a BF sword to BT, and if you lost with it you're way behind. The benefits don't seem to outweigh the disadvantages.
if you want to play ad then learn twitch/ezreal/MF now while they're still extremely strong
