League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

as in you don't think it's as good of an item as everyone is making it out to be or you hate the fact that it's a mandatory buy on jayce/kha'zix/ezreal in most games
I hate the fact that it's a "mandatory buy" when it isn't a mandatory buy. It is a perfectly good item that I don't want everyone bitching to me about NOT buying now anymore than I liked people bitching not to buy it before. NAW MEAN?

I was buying Tear on Kha'zix before it was cool. Jayce isn't quite as mana-hungry and has a good sustain mechanic if anyone ever bothered to use it but sure, he's safe enough to rush Tear and the end product is still worthwhile enough. Saying it's core is a bit of a stretch. It's a common buy, not an every game must-have.

srsly though, how do i win more consistently in aram? :(
Heal instead of Barrier, bruh.

Critique my Renekton build:

Doran's Blade
Boots
Tiamat
Hydra
Boots 2
Sunfire
Spirit Visage
Bork/Mallet
Bork/Mallet

Is it in efficient order?

renekton is probably one of my most frequent go-to top lane champions just because he doesn't really have any bad matchups and his build path is ridiculously flexible

because of that flexibility i'd say that rushing tiamat doesn't work in every matchup - for example, if you're going even against elise, you might want to rush hexdrinker. if you're getting your ass kicked by rumble, you might wanna rush negatron into spirit visage. if you're up against a zed, you could be rushing sunfire.

that being said i can't really advocate any one specific renekton build

If you want a good example of some builds check out probuilds.net - it also shows runes and masteries of said champ. With that said, champs don't usually just have one build path they go every game, there's a ton of factors that contribute to what items you get.

3) PraY
4) Yellowpete (you can call him yolofeed but in the end he didn't do -that- badly and stayed alive against madlife/pray, arguable the scariest botlane in allstar - more because of madlife though)

Allstar was an 'okay' representation of each region's power. If anything it showed that NA isn't a laughingstock.

Two NA teams for worlds:
CLG/TSM. I'm biased towards CLG here obviously so I'll leave it at that. TSM is really strong. Curse will remain 4th, Dig and C9 are potential contenders. C9's playstyle is a direct copy of the Koreans though.

Two EU teams:
This one's hard because Edward left Gambit, but I think GG can still make it to worlds solely because Genja is still in it (not that Genja is the best player there or anything - he just happens to be the brain behind Gambit). fnatic/EG are still contenders.

Two SEA teams:
TPA/SJK I just want to see Saigon Jokers again l0l

Two CN teams:
OMG/WE. Havent watched much of the CHinese league thingy but I heard OMG is really scary so I'm putting them here.

3 KR teams:
Dunno with all the roster swaps

i just went 22/7 as ezreal and went incredibly close to pulling off a 4v5 win in gold I ranked

ahri was d/ced for the entire game and we had both their nexus turrets down at one point and the game was so goddamn close but we threw it all at the last teamfight

god i am so upset

Two NA teams for worlds:
TSM will go for sure, CLG actually has the best shot of any NA team of winning worlds due to their unique playstyle and insider knowledge of foreign scenes, but we'll see how they perform at home first. if CLG doesn't go it'll be dignitas probs

Two EU teams:
fnatic is pretty much a shoe-in, gambit is like CLG in that they have the best chance to take it home but i'm not confident they'll perform without edward. i'd throw EG in, in that case

Two SEA teams:
TPA/TPS AZUBU MUST BE REPRESENTED

Two CN teams:
OMG and iG, controversially i don't think WE is a top chinese team at all, at the moment. we'll see though, but at this point in time those would be the teams to send

Three KR teams:
should be like twelve because if worlds is a tournament to see who's the best in the world, there's no reason to send trash NA/EU teams lmao!

at this point it looks like sword is definitely going, frost has a good shot, and blaze too if they beat ozone. if not, it'll definitely be interesting as many top teams like blaze, t1 terminator, ozone and kt rolster b will be vying to go. my heart says sword/blaze/t1, but my head says sword/blaze/frost

Should be 3 teams from each region and 4 for Korea. So lame that one of Fnatic, GG and EG miss worlds.

NA
I pray for CLG and Curse to get in but TSM and NA bashers. Don't forget GGU and C9.

EU
GG and EG. Well this is what I want to believe but hopefully someone exposes Fnatics teleport mid only strategy.

SEA
The only Asain region I like. TPA and Singapore Sentinels.

China
Care factor = 0 for this region. Hope OMG take WEs spot. From what I heard OMG uses roam squads, haven't seen it but would like to.

Korea
Another region full of circle jerks. Unfortunately the best region. CJ Blaze and 2 other teams. Hoping for a massive failure but I can't see it.

Please, Judgment Day > Terminator, even Reapered agrees that he's overrated (though I do love me some Beelzehan Hecarim)

SGS pls. Don't lose to Saigon this year again ffs.

Also TSM is a shoe-in for NA, gonna have to go with Diggy for the second.

p.s. fuk china WE sux

excellent article thorns

A few questions and comments about your post:
- With Edward rumored to be moving to Curse, would CRS have a real shot at going to worlds? Everything is speculation at this point, with the biggest wild card perhaps being how CLG will perform in the summer split, but having a support of Edward's caliber is a huge boon for Curse. Cop, while not the best AD, plays similarly to Genja.
- Thoughts on C9 as a contender for one of the top spots in the NA LCS summer split? The team looks fantastic (they beat Curse Academy in eight minutes the other day) and Meteos is already being hyped as a world-class jungler.
- I agree with the EU evaluation.
- I agree with the Chinese evaluation. World Elite has been underperforming against iG and OMG, though this may change next week with the LPL playoffs.
- Why do you think Sword is definitely going? I haven't been watching NLB, but they honestly performed terribly against Frost in the quarterfinals (I feel like they showed up for the first half of Game 1 and then just left).
- Why Terminator over Judgement Day?
