You can't. Some combinations of egg moves are impossible.I've been trying to puzzle this out, but...
How would you breed a Liepard that knows both Encore and Trickery?
You can get a Liepard with Encore, and a Liepard with Trickery, but how would you get the two moves together if both pokemon must be male?
Is it simply only theoretically possible, but practically impossible?

I wouldn't even say it's theoretically possible. Such combinations are banned on all simulators as illegal move combinations. Is it simply only theoretically possible, but practically impossible?
Perhaps "theoretically possible" in the sense that, if a Pokémon with both moves in the same egg group is later released, it will be possible.I wouldn't even say it's theoretically possible. Such combinations are banned on all simulators as illegal move combinations.
Actually, you're right. All Pokemon in the Ground Egg Group can get any combination of Egg Moves because of their ability to breed with Smeargle, and Liepard is in that group.Maybe I'm missing something, but couldn't you use Smeargle to sketch Foul Play & Encore, then breed to get both?
Yeah, but he/she isn't a great sweeper with it's paper thin defenses. Not that he's meant for sweeping, but I can't believe he didn't get dark pulse. It you're gonna give him nasty plot, the least they could do is give him a decent stab move.
I think that maybe liepard would be good in doubles/triples. In singles it can't really harm the opponent, but if it never had to it could be the ultimate supporter to something that sets up or really anything.
I've never even tried triples, however it is interesting to read about.
What if somebody had...
A Liepard to support with
(unburden+sitrus/focus sash/normal gem)
Snatch
fake out/protect/taunt/Growl
fake out/protect/taunt/Growl
fake out/protect/taunt/Growl
My main reason to say snatch and not get specific with the other moves is that snatch steals boosting moves, tailwind and those new nifty guards. With taunt or fake out you can effectively shut down a trick room mon or status inducing mon.
on turn one you could with some prediction (and from what I read, most of these are fairly obvious) disable several common set ups by:
Taunt a Trick Room user
Snatch Tailwind/wide guard/quick guard from the other team without having to use feint (which would be a fun gamble if you put it aside a exploding metagross because you would snatch wide guard)
Soften Physical attacks by -1 attacking the entire opponent's team
Flinch a key player
I'm thinking liepard could go even farther with prankster when it's released by adding priority yawn, encore or thunderwave to its list of tools.
Is there another Liepard thread he should have posted in? smh.The moveset is interesting, but you did bump a old thread :evan:
It's too frail and suffers from having a kind of bad typing, especially in it's current environment with all those Bug types and when it breaks out of RU fighting wrecks it.
All sets are gimmicky I have the most gimmicky.
Liepard @ Normal Gem
