Liepard

Hmmm, does anyone know if Death Gambit can be assisted? If not, it'd be a nice way of dealing with the last poke.

Leperadusu @ Leftovers
Bold
252 Def. /252 Spec. Def./6 HP
- Encore
- Torment
- Substitute
- Protect
If this works the way I think it does this could cause mass switching for your opponent dealing some heavy damage. When your opponent sends something in scout the move with protect, then encore/torment them and set up a sub on their way out. This could work better with Chorenko @ evo stone tho

Choroneko with evo stone is better unless its for speed issue.
But with full Hp, and some defense investment, Lepardas is bulkier.
I recommend stick with lepardas then

The fastest Liepard only outspeeds not maxed speed Erufuun. It's ok since most Erufuun runs SubSeed + Encore.
But the cat fails to outspeed speedy Erufuun, Voltolos, and Tornelos. All genies I saw so far invest on Speed for its attacking move.

Evo-stone Choroneko is bulkier than its evo and faster than Sableye, (lol) Riolu, and (lmao) minimum speed Monmen.

I've been trying to puzzle this out, but...

How would you breed a Liepard that knows both Encore and Trickery?

You can get a Liepard with Encore, and a Liepard with Trickery, but how would you get the two moves together if both pokemon must be male and there appear to be no other pokemon that can both learn Encore and Trickery?

Is it simply only theoretically possible, but practically impossible?

You can't. Some combinations of egg moves are impossible.

I wouldn't even say it's theoretically possible. Such combinations are banned on all simulators as illegal move combinations.
Perhaps "theoretically possible" in the sense that, if a Pokémon with both moves in the same egg group is later released, it will be possible.

Maybe I'm missing something, but couldn't you use Smeargle to sketch Foul Play & Encore, then breed to get both?

Actually, you're right. All Pokemon in the Ground Egg Group can get any combination of Egg Moves because of their ability to breed with Smeargle, and Liepard is in that group.

So that just applies for Pokemon in other Egg Groups.

Not that he's meant for sweeping, but I can't believe he didn't get dark pulse. It you're gonna give him nasty plot, the least they could do is give him a decent stab move.

Is there any interesting way to use unburden on this thing? I mean, a dark gem with Night slash will hurt (if someone feels like doing calcs, go ahead), then Speed is doubled. Then it could proceed to swagger and Foul Play without having to worry about being out-sped except for priority (Mach punch would most likely spell instant death) and scarfers. What would outspeed a doubled base 106?

I had a good Liepard in mind...

Physical sweeper block/lead

Liepard @ Normal Gem / Unburden
Jolly - 252 Att / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Fake out
Swagger
Foul play
substitute/encore/thunder wave/taunt

Start off with a Fake Out (which will hurt quite a bit from normal gem), and then you have +2 speed thanks to unburden. If you think they will try to set up, encore. Swagger to add to their woes and you essentially have a Foul Play KO on anything with a high attack. There are multiple slots because taunt is good for messing people up who want to set up entry hazards and stuff, and thunder wave and confusion will give you a high chance of preventing a painful retaliatory strike. Encore is good, but you have to be confident they will try to Swords Dance/Dragon dance (which is likely as many see Liepard as a great opportunity to set up). However, if you can set up a sub you can guarantee one free foulplay. This is a great lead, because the normal gem/unburden will only last once, and a lot of leads these days are sweepers to counter taunt leads (at least that's the case where I play). I see this as better than prankster because you can be fast right off the bat with any move. You can also pack it as a counter to any sweeper that's giving you major butthurt.

I think that maybe liepard would be good in doubles/triples. In singles it can't really harm the opponent, but if it never had to it could be the ultimate supporter to something that sets up or really anything.

I've never even tried triples, however it is interesting to read about.
What if somebody had...

A Liepard to support with
(unburden+sitrus/focus sash/normal gem)
Snatch
fake out/protect/taunt/Growl
fake out/protect/taunt/Growl
fake out/protect/taunt/Growl
My main reason to say snatch and not get specific with the other moves is that snatch steals boosting moves, tailwind and those new nifty guards. With taunt or fake out you can effectively shut down a trick room mon or status inducing mon.
on turn one you could with some prediction (and from what I read, most of these are fairly obvious) disable several common set ups by:
Taunt a Trick Room user
Snatch Tailwind/wide guard/quick guard from the other team without having to use feint (which would be a fun gamble if you put it aside a exploding metagross because you would snatch wide guard)
Soften Physical attacks by -1 attacking the entire opponent's team
Flinch a key player

I'm thinking liepard could go even farther with prankster when it's released by adding priority yawn, encore or thunderwave to its list of tools.

The moveset is interesting, but you did bump a old thread :evan:

It's too frail and suffers from having a kind of bad typing, especially in it's current environment with all those Bug types and when it breaks out of RU fighting wrecks it.

All sets are gimmicky I have the most gimmicky.

Liepard @ Normal Gem
Trait: Unburden
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 4 HP | 252 Atk | 252 Spe
Moveset:
-Fake Out
-Taunt
-Night Slash
-Return/Grass Knot

Use Fake Out boost with Normal Gem gain Unburden. The rest is just lulz.

why not just use sucker punch? it is still stronger than night slash, i ever really got the point of unburden sets when you can just use sucker punch.
