(Little) Things that annoy you in Pokémon

That definitely seems like an oversight. Wailmer doesn't even show up in Frigid Sea dens, either, which is something I think unique to it outside of cases like gift pokemon and legends.

Remnant of an earlier CT dex maybe???

I feel like they should be separate, though, just because that's probably the easiest way to make them not evolve (otherwise i have questions for why there are separate entries for each and every single cap pikachu....)

Easy. Each Cap Pika got a separate model. Diff model = diff entry.

They probably just blocked those special event ones with some flag or whatever.

The Razor Claw spawn point is across water; in all my times of daily item collection I've never found one anywhere else in Dusty Bowl.

You can get one on Cram-o-Matic.

Problem is... I'm pretty sure you'll need a bunch of high-level stuff to get enough points.

I vividly remember using 2 Comet Shards (RIP Star Pieces) and 2 Never-Melt Ices I got in Crown Tundra (Yay, sequence break!) for something. I think it was the Razor Claw.

Suppose that makes sense but honestly feels like they could just do some pallet swaps instead of 8 separate pikachus internally but hey what do I know....

Let's see it's a....71-80 point Ice item. So pretty expensive. Comet Shards are 34, Never melts are 14, so I think you were aiming for a....Pearl String?

I believe you can actually evolve the event Pikachu, Eevee and Meowth if you take the G-Max mark off them through Isle.
Interesting. So if you give the mark to any old pikachu/eevee/meowth, does it make them not able to evolve then? Guess it's as simple as attaching a flag to the g-max for those 3 if so

You can. You can also give any random Pikachu/Eevee/Meowth the soup to prevent them from evolving.

Fun Fact: There is a Happy Hour Meowth Event from Gen VI. Making one a G-max Meowth makes money grinding with one even better than before. Just use the move before G-maxing to double your earnings.

Doesn't have to be a species-specific flag. They might have made it so that no Pokémon that can Gigantamax can evolve (although it only applies to three Pokémon). Basically, Gigantamaxing is an Everstone.

Gigantamax marks are on the gift Kanto Starters, as well as that one Milcery raid event.

Pour one out for the Japanese fans, who can't get the Gen 2 Battle Tower anymore, even on VC.

I've just play a new game of Sw/Sh and I get an early Sneasel with the new DLC, and I managed to learn Triple Axel very fast and it was very useful ! Beat Up is also good in game, and that's do the job for in game. But yeah the moveset is bad !

And the razor claw can only be obtained after 6th gym, that's late but Sneasel have decent Att/Speed for in game ... but the lack of bulk can be difficult !

Well, considering the VC is basically an emulated version of the original Cart, I don't see why they'd have edited the code for it :P

Except they did make changes to the games like being able to trade without a Link Cable, decreased the amount of flashing certain moves did, changed Jynx from black to purple, how Mystery Gift worked, and how to unlock the Celebi event so everyone gets it. Also, the change to unlocking the Battle Tower had already been done in the international versions so they just needed to do what they did there (aka have no requirements and have it be open from the start). This sounds like an oversight which should have been patched as soon as the games came out. Infact, the English version of the game did more patch fixes than the Japanese version, which is to say they did any!

It's pretty wild that one of the big central new features of Crystal was 100% locked behind a peripheral
And from the sound of things, it seems like it was literally just an unlock key, you only needed to connect once to just always be able to use the battle tower. It had other Mobile System functionality but those were all separated if Im reading this right.

The slightly evil part of my brain just found it really, really funny since, because the original Crystal had to change this for other localisations, non-Japanese players missed out on the proto-GTS and wifi-Tower (edit: they can't even get the Odd Egg, either? Ouch). Now it's turned back on them and the formerly-exclusive features end up being useless.

Japan gets all sorts of events and goodies the rest of the world doesn't, so HA! Finally, something Japanese players lose out on!

(But yeah, that's really crap for them and it sucks they miss out)

I hate the fact that you can't surprize trade box legendaries

and it's only box legendaries, I surprize traded both Latias and tapus without any issue
