Really? How is it different in Platinum? Is it just more likely to break the chain, or are there different steps involved?
I'm not completely sure. As Komodo said, patches are different, but I think they moved it to a normal snowy place.Really? How is it different in Platinum? Is it just more likely to break the chain, or are there different steps involved?
yes, from the guy next to the daycare who hands out pokéballs (forget his name)You can get Dive Balls ingame? O.o
Also, my Ralts chaining has not gone well so far; I've caught seven or eight, but no Sassy natures. :( Gonna try again now that I've had dinner...
it's random every time. you can get more Dive Balls. i think you can even get master balls (but i'm not 100% sure)If you do the newspaper article thing for the dude in Solaceon, he gives you 5 Dive Balls :) Well he did when I showed him a Magikarp!
The nest ball opening animation would go well with Ursaring I think. The ball itself is brown and green, not bright like it appears in your bag (I think). The animation is a little dark green with a spiral of sorts. See for yourself on a random poke, that's always the best way to test it IMO. I made the mistake of starting my Eevee chain before testing.
Said chain is at 17 shinies now, all Timid thus far. :)

Edit: And I think you can check a +speed nature by having a Pokémon in front whose speed is between 31 IV neutral nature and 0 IV positive nature. If the shiny moves before you do, it's Timid (or at least +speed).
Dive.Shiny Teddiursa looks pretty cool, and the ball matches it really well too. Congrats :) Got 5 more Dive Balls from the dude today for showing him a Raichu woohoo! I think I'll try Great, Nest and Dive balls on Nidoran M and see which looks best :)
This might sound like a really newbish question to a lot of people and in a way I'm kind of embarassed to ask, but how do you know they are all Timid? Is there some kind of hocus-pocus way of checking your boxes whilst chaining?!![]()
*EDIT*
It's not worth trying to chain for a Shiny Crobat (Zubat, actually) if you plan on using it competitively, is it? Seems like its best moves are all Egg Moves...
