Look At What I Chained - Mark II

All the patches look very simular so its difficult to get the same type of patch, i have the japanese version and yet to understand chaining on there. when i work it out ill be able to chain all sorts of things.
In platinum the patches look different frm D/P.

Since my Tauros was insulted, I think I should make up for it with something that looks good. Nidoking looks pretty badass in blue, maybe catch it in a Quick Ball? I don't have any Dive Balls left, I used up the ones you get ingame on something stupid >>;

I got to 34 Miltank before I went to Tauros, but didn't fancy it again after realising the 2% encounter rate just to find one =/.

You can get Dive Balls ingame? O.o

Also, my Ralts chaining has not gone well so far; I've caught seven or eight, but no Sassy natures. :( Gonna try again now that I've had dinner...

*EDIT*
As for Nidoking, I actually think Great Balls look best with it, although I don't think Great Balls have an opening animation...

yes, from the guy next to the daycare who hands out pokéballs (forget his name)

If you do the newspaper article thing for the dude in Solaceon, he gives you 5 Dive Balls :) Well he did when I showed him a Magikarp!

it's random every time. you can get more Dive Balls. i think you can even get master balls (but i'm not 100% sure)

Oh, that guy. Didn't realize he could give out Dive Balls, since I rarely talk to him. >.> Perhaps I ought to change this, especially if there's a chance of getting Master Balls...

I've got a sassy synch ralts if anyone wants to borrow. Also, shiny Tauros is pretty sweet. I'm going to get started on my Teddiursa chain tomorrow...

I spent three solid days breeding synchronize Ralts to get all of the useful natures :( was quite useful for growing berries though.

A day after deciding that I wasn't really that fussed about hunting for shinies, I've now got a list of pokes I want to chain as long as my arm :( The priority is the neon green Ursaring though. Which ball would be best for her, luxury?

Nest Ball seems like it would match up perfectly with Shiny Ursaring. Same neon green, and it even has the same yellow ring that Ursaring has. Can't say about the opening animation, though.

The nest ball opening animation would go well with Ursaring I think. The ball itself is brown and green, not bright like it appears in your bag (I think). The animation is a little dark green with a spiral of sorts. See for yourself on a random poke, that's always the best way to test it IMO. I made the mistake of starting my Eevee chain before testing.

Said chain is at 17 shinies now, all Timid thus far. :)

Is this the same chain that you started... two days ago, I think?

*EDIT*
It's not worth trying to chain for a Shiny Crobat (Zubat, actually) if you plan on using it competitively, is it? Seems like its best moves are all Egg Moves...

This might sound like a really newbish question to a lot of people and in a way I'm kind of embarassed to ask, but how do you know they are all Timid? Is there some kind of hocus-pocus way of checking your boxes whilst chaining?!

You can actually leave the grass. Just not too far. AFAIK, as long as there is one patch within 10 steps from you, your chain won't break. If you go further though, it will.

Edit: And I think you can check a +speed nature by having a Pokémon in front whose speed is between 31 IV neutral nature and 0 IV positive nature. If the shiny moves before you do, it's Timid (or at least +speed).

Ahh, that sounds a bit complicated :)

On a side note; been chaining Teddiursa's all evening. Got the chain to 40 Relatively easy and I'm now on 51 with around 13 shinies.

Using an Adamant Synchro.
Just a bit annoyed by the fact the in-battle nest ball sprite looks nothing like the out of battle one, but hey ho!
I'm going to sleep now, so I'll continue the chain tomorow and post the best IV's etc. I have a good feeling about this one, after my rubbish Machop chain :)

Shiny Teddiursa looks pretty cool, and the ball matches it really well too. Congrats :) Got 5 more Dive Balls from the dude today for showing him a Raichu woohoo! I think I'll try Great, Nest and Dive balls on Nidoran M and see which looks best :)

Dive.

Oops, I just meant I had used my Timid synch for all 17 of them, who knows how many are actually Timid.

Ugh. I was at 30, my highest ever, and one of those patches behind me cost me the chain. Fucking Staravia, too. And this looks so awesome...

Actually I was thinking about this the other day and it's actually not a huge waste competitively. A leadBat to set up a weather team is still very viable on almost all tms!

Something like Taunt/Rain Dance/U-turn/Toxic or Aerial Ace would work nicely.
