Avatar: I think Morty has one of the best designs out of any gym leader. His outfit just looks so clean and fresh. It’s better in his official art than his sprite but this works too.
Background: Pokemon X was my first game and Fennekin was the first mon I owned, so I’m biased towards Delphox.
Gym Badges: Chose the badge of my favorite gym for each gym number.
Pokémon:
:Rampardos: My favorite mon, as many people who know me know. No surprise to see it here.
:Diancie-Mega: My favorite Mega evolution.
:Meganium: My favorite starter line, don’t @ me
:Victini: Favorite mythical, actually got wonder traded a hacked shiny one back in Sun, it’s sitting in Home atm
:Meowstic-F: The female one is my favorite shiny form, and when I tried hunting it in Sword, Masuda method, it only took me 43 eggs to get a shiny female Espurr. Best hunt I’ve ever done.
:Kyogre-Primal: Alpha Sapphire was my second game, and Primal Kyogre became my favorite box legendary.

we’re doing these cards, huh

it doesn’t have my ps avatar, so i just picked the one i had before i switched over to the preschoolers

reuniclus is my favorite pokemon of all time - i think it’s the cutest and best thing there is out there. clefable, i had a really great attachment to it in my first game, which was rby, so it’s here. ampharos is my favorite non starter pokemon from johto, and i loved the dude when i played gsc/hgss. houndoom is rad as fuck, and Violet should learn to stfu when people like houndoom >:( gastrodon is the best sea slug there is (and east gastrodon is the superior form, literally don’t @ me.) jirachi is my most favorite mythical pokemon, and unironically, i think it’s the one with the coolest lore and design there is for mythical pokemon. victini is a close second, though

I'll throw my card onto the pile:
TrainerCardG8.png

Probably should explain my choices:

Charizard: Favorite
Gardevoir: It's sort of here because I like it and out of balance. It was technically my 3rd pick, 2nd being Lucario. In a previous card I made I had Metagross but I didn't want Pokemon sharing Types so decided to replace Metagross with another Psychic-type. I also wanted dual-types to have as wide coverage as possible, and with that all in mind I picked Gardevoir.
Lucario: 2nd pick, I just like it.
Golett: FLYING MECH!
Hydreigon: It's one of my favorite pseudo, it's from my favorite gen and made for some memorable boss battles (being Ghetsis's ace in BW, and then Iris just starting out with it in BW2).
Toxtricity: Really took a shine to it after using it on my Shield team.

Badges: Well the first two should be obvious, then I picked all the Electric badges for another obvious reason, and finally the Trio Badge because I like how it looks.

So for the most part, these are the pokemon that stood out to me during all the games I played.

Drifloon: So this is absolutely my favorite Pokémon. I encountered it in my first ever playthrough of Pokémon Platinum and something about the way a mon was wandering in the overworld, at the edge of Valley Windworks really piqued my interest. It's lore is creepy but at the same time incredibly cute, a misunderstood balloon that tries to make friends by kidnapping kids..I couldn't handle the cuteness. It's also my go to mon when walking in Amity Square, I loved that Pokémon Platinum allowed interactions with some mons.

Whimsicott: The first trade I ever did on Alpha Sapphire got me a shiny cottonee, which I absolutely cherished. Lore wise, the idea of it floating around, blown by the wind is really appealing. Prankster was a huge bonus too, I liked how despite its appearance it could be a lethal disruption to your opponents team and a real threat in doubles.

Virizion: I think I've previously posted about how I randomly encountered a shiny virizion with 35 ultra balls, ran out, and caught it in a premier ball. I went on to win every contest with it, acquire every obtainable ribbon in gen 6, and pamper it endlessly in Poke Amie. I grew extremely attached to this mon as it was the first random encounter shiny I ever caught, and it's stats were almost competitively viable which was a nice plus.

Lucario: This Pokémon carried my team HARD in Platinum. I love the steel type, and it's unique typing and immunity to poison really carried me in the battle casino. I loved dressing it up in contests and it's whole lore, definitely an iconic member of my in game team.

Torchic: This was my first ever starter in the first ever game I played. I never did finish Pokémon Emerald or get a chance to witness the evolution of my torchic, 6 year old me thought my cousin traded or replaced my torchic with another mon after I asked him to beat a gym for me. Probably one of my all time favourites, I could never bring myself to choose another gen 3 starter regardless of how many times I re played the game.

Giratina: This Pokémon holds a special place in my heart because not only was it the result of the longest battle I ever fought, my first legendary, and the Elite Four carry in Platinum, it was also the first Pokémon to make me cry. When I first caught it, I went straight to the footprint master who said it didn't like me and thought it was better off in the wild, that was heartbreaking..I went out of my way to treat giratina well and getting it the footprint ribbon was probably one of my favourite moments in the game.

So yeah, that sums it up. Thanks for reading n.n

Wasn't sure if I should do this, but I had nothing better to do at the moment so I gave it a shot.

The name "Suspicious Derivative" was too long so I went with my other username in the Pokémon fandom. I could have gone with "Suspicious D" since it fits exactly, but I didn't feel like it.
The Friend Code is my Switch FC (I don't have NSO though, so don't add me).
I took the background because it looked cool, Ice is not my favorite type but I went with it since it is currently cold and snowy outside where I live.
Regarding the badges, I just took some I thought looked cool from the best regions.
I have been a Pokémon fan for over 20 years so I think I can call myself a veteran at this point, and the veteran sprite in Gen 5 is just so cool.
The Pokémon are some of my overall favorites from the latest four generations. I did not include any legends, mythicals or UBs.
Haxorus: Best dragon.
Sylveon: Best Eevee.
Lycanroc: Best wolf.
Copperajah: Best elephant.
Chandelure: Best ghost.
Lilligant: Best flower.

Sure, why not. Had to use Gold, best Aventures protagonist and Gold was my first Pokémon game:
trainercard-Bruno.png

This is overall how would I imagine my team if I were a trainer in the Pokemon world. All of these are my favorite Pokemon, whom I love and share many experiences together.

As a bonus, here's my trainer card, Hoenn Frontier Edition:
trainercard-Bruno (1).png

I used quite a variety of mons for this tough challenge, most frequently those 6, so I have a lot of attachment. I cloned them (thanks Emerald devs xd) and transferred to future games, where they still kick ass in the ingame challenges and battling with friends. I would later do a Trainer card with the Sinnoh Frontier....when I beat it.

Here's my dumb card:

not a vet like the person above me, I just like the sprite and it's what I use in showdown. I've been a fan since I was 3 though, so idk.

Whiscash: This dumb fish single handedly killed Cynthia's Garchomp in platinum, tanked through Norman's slaking in platinum, and has been a mad lad for years now. It's shiny because first off I love the shiny, but SUNKIST in Sw/Sh is shiny too, so taht's why.

Kantonian Slowbro: I acheived infinite turns with him, crushed kanto's elite four, and he's sleepy and dumb like me. He's a good due all around.

Drifloon: He's a bud, and he helped me out with defog, and he's really cute ( and stronk in LC too ) .

Slakoth: He's really cute, and me and bread the slaking conquered emerald single handedly, so he's really strong too. Also i have a plushie of him, so he's always gonna be in my head.

Snorunt: I really like gen 4 and 5, and he got froslass in gen 4, which has a really cool design and origin, and snorunt is just a cutie pie by himself. i was obsessed with him as a 4 year old, and i still find him cool even today.

Spheal: He's so cute first off, and pretty strong for a first stage mon. Walrein is tough and cool looking, with a charming first evolution. And, he's always found in a really cool place in any Reigon, so he's a very good guy at every point.

Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs superfan

I’ve always loved threads like these so when I saw this, I just knew I had to chip in. Sorry if I’m late to the party. My biggest thing in Pokémon has always been the memories I have of certain Pokémon and whatnot so I came up with this list based on exactly that.

Feraligatr: My favorite Pokémon (and evolution family) of all time, even if not from my first technical Pokémon game. Totodile seems to appears everywhere in my childhood as well.

Squirtle: I really like turtles and tortoises, and Water Starters have always been my favorite in comparison to the others. I also love playing as Squirtle in Smash Bros., and finally he reminds me of my beloved pet tortoise named Koopa (yes, I know). “Koopa Troopa Beach” and “Koopa Cape” from Mario Kart are also some of my favorite tracks from this great series.

Espeon: My love for this psychic cat shot up into the stratosphere on August 7th 2019 with what might have been the single greatest prediction I have ever made in a video game. Long story.

Pichu: I love Pichu for a very underrated reason. If anyone’s ever played the Pokémon Ranger games, specifically Guardian Signs, you might know where I’m going with this.

Arbok & Golbat: The year 2019 started off with a bang as I found not one but TWO random full odds Shiny Poison-Types in my sense-scrapped SoulSilver 100% run with only four badges. Golbat still never evolved into Crobat though. These two confirmed my unofficial fetish for Shiny Poison-Types that started five years prior with a horde Foongus and a second encounter Friend Safari Whirlipede in the same game.

First of all, love this! These types of threads are always really cool. Here are my six favorite Pokemon.

trainercard-Band.png

Mega Scizor: my favorite Pokémon ever. When XY dropped, my friends and I would battle all the time. I used to always bring Mega Scizor to our battles and it would always wreck everyone with Swords Dance + Bullet Punch. Very much nostalgia-based.

Gliscor: has been one of my favorites of all time, also is one of the OGs from way back in Platinum. Even without Poison Heal he was still such a cool Pokemon to me. After it got Poison Heal I just completely fell in love with it.

:dp/croagunk:
Croagunk: this little fella is just the cutest most funky one ever. There's a cool little story behind why I like Croagunk too: my first time playing through Platinum, I stood behind that one Croagunk banner in Pastoria city. Then, a little Croagunk came out of nowhere, did a croak, and went into to the Great Marsh. My 8y head was MINDBLOWN at how cool that was. Since i was a literal 8y old child that didn't speak english and couldn't access to internet in portguese or english, I didn't know that was something that was known. So i thought I had discovered some ultra secret and that Croagunk was telling me to follow it into the Great Marsh. So I did. I kept trying to find him for days and days, but to no avail. The day he appeared, I managed to catch him and added him to my team. This is one of my favorite Pokémon stories and the reason Croagunk is one of my favorite Pokémon.

Krookodile: when I played through BW, I used a Krookodile on my team and he turned out to be the team's MVP! At the time he was my favorite Pokémon. Nowadays he isn't my favorite anymore, but I still cherish him a lot. Krookodile, Samurott, Musharna, Sawk, Whimsicott, and Zebstrika were my first BW team, so this team has a special place in my heart too.

Golisopod: when Wimpod's evolution was revealed (leaked) I just KNEW I had to use Golisopod when playing through Sun. I remember trying to catch it just running into him, but it would disappear everytime into that little cave outside of Lush Jungle. I eventually managed to catch him and add it to my team. Also Golisopod is just awesome, c'mon. It's a goliath isopod.

:dp/tangrowth:
Tangrowth: I just think it looks funky LOL. I can't really say why I like Tangrowth, I just do, I really don't know why LOL. Maybe its the color or good stats, idk.

I usually change this up, as having 6 fixed fav mons is tough for me LOL but the first 4 never really leave.

Little bonus: my official trainer league cards from both Sinnoh and Unova, my two favorite regions!
trainercard-Edu.png

trainercard-WaffleTitan.png

I went through a few versions of my trainer card before settling on probably the cheesiest option smh. I really wanted one of the Hoenn triathlete avatars, since I'm big into that, but settled for the swimmer. I liked the water type background as well, but the fire felt like it matched my pokemon a bit better (even if it only adds to the ham). Hoenn is my favorite region, with Sinnoh a close second, so I decided to roll with the Hoenn badge set. I think it would be much more enjoyable to live there anyway.

Tyranitar: My favorite pokemon, he's a monster in game and consistently has been in competitive. My first bred 6IV and shiny as well. Easy choice.

Charizard: Basic af choice, but regardless of his overrepresentation in recent games, charizard is still a classic and one of my favs. Was in my first pack of pokemon cards waaaay back in the day (Blaine's charizard). Somehow I've never had him as my starter in a Kanto playthrough, but I have put countless hours into 99 floor dungeons on Red Rescue Team with him.

Sceptile: My first in-game starter and second favorite pokemon behind tyranitar. Placed him third because two green pokemon next to each other just wasn't a look. I've played through Sapphire, Emerald, and Alpha Sapphire with him at least 20-30 times combined. Also my first level 100 pokemon!

Infernape: Another starter- such variety! My favorite starter of my favorite game (platinum) has a special place in my heart. I love his design, his movepool, stats, prowess in the Sinnoh region, and really everything about him.

Milotic: These last two spots were much more of a toss up, I wanted at least one water type and Milotic is my fav water type pokemon (besides spheal, but he doesn't really fit my card thematically). Throwback to the arduous process of getting a milotic in gen 3. It's been included on almost all my doubles teams.

Garchomp: I used to really hate garchomp, but I've really come to appreciate it over the last few years. It was my go to pokemon for gen 6 EV training (hundreds and hundreds of hours) and a staple on nearly all of my competitive teams since DPP. Others in consideration that probably could be on this card any given week lol were dragonite, salamence, staraptor, skarmory, nidoking, gardevoir, scizor, azumarill, galvantula, gastrodon, talonflame, rayquaza, deoxys, kyogre, and speal due to their part in memorable teams in the past or just cause I like them.

Johto and Sinnoh badges, taking out all the shared types (my two favourite regions).
Mira cos they didn't have Tucker :(
Shadow Lugia cos they didn't have Suicune as a background, and because XD was an amazing game and Shadow Lugia is just such an awesome design.

Suicune - My favourite Pokemon of all time forever and ever and ever. Crystal wasn't my first game but damn, I don't think I've ever felt as good as I did playing Crystal when I was a kid.
Infernape - My favourite starter and Sinnoh Pokemon, amazing types and coverage. Used Nape in every (non-first) playthrough up until SwSh.
Toxtricity - Loved that beautiful gift from the moment I was given. Electric/Poison is a wonderful type combo and I just love the guitar basis.
Staraptor - The culmination of the badass generic birds that Swellow started. CC Staraptor you beautiful bird.
Flygon - 0 reason for anyone to use him over Chomp except that wonderful design. Even DD wouldn't push me over the edge.
Greninja - The best thing about Gen 6 tbh.
