I remade two of my cards and have some explanations set up. One team is my unofficial dream team composed of some of my all time favorite Pokémon. The other is... self explanatory.

(Team 2: "Guardian SIgns" Edition)

Feraligatr: Has consistently been one of, if not my favorite Pokémon of all time. I absolutely loved using it in SoulSilver back in the day. I once made it all the way through the game with just this thing and whatever HM users I would have had, it's been so long I can't remember.

Crobat: I've instituted a new rule that I want to use at least one Poison-Type on every future in-game team I make for the foreseeable future thanks to the incredible Poison Shiny events of 2019. Crobat serves as this team's flyer, counter to Bugsy and one of three Bruno counters, and a callback to what is now the holy grail of my small collection of Shinies.

Ampharos: The textboox definition of reliable, Ampharos makes the cut as a mandatory counter to some of Clair and Lance's Pokémon, and to my surprise half of Will's team also. Not much to say here except the Ampharos in the lighthouse is memorable enough to where I always name my own "Amphy" in its honor.

Heracross: My main counter to Whitney, Jasmine, and Pryce, Heracross has always been one of the best single-stage Pokémon in history. Love its design, love its battle style, and love its great role compression on my team. Bug/Fighting is such an underrated offensive typing, and Heracross has the tools to make it work.

Dragonite: Very memorable for me because of Lance and a few other sources, and a borderline necessary addition to my team for the battle with Clair. Excellent wild-card Pokémon with a wide movepool that I'd love to try and raise some time. I also like how there's different ways to obtain a Dratini.

Espeon: This one's one here for two reasons and two reasons alone. Reason 1? I need a counter to the ridiculous amount of Poison-Types in this game. Reason 2? Because it's Espeon. I've talked about this before, people.

Pichu: Believe it or not, Pichu may actually be in contention with Feraligatr for my favorite Pokémon of all time. No prizes for guessing where I got my love for it from, but it's also in Smash Bros. Ultimate and ABSOLUTELY should have had the ukulele included in there somewhere...

Staraptor: The main flyer of that series as of the second game, and his partner if you play as the female character. Not much else to say here aside from how stupid this thing can be in a Sinnoh playthrough.

That leaves the four Legendaries, who are all involved a feature known as Ranger Signs and help the player travel around the region. The Lati Twin you get depends on your gender choice. ORAS may or may not have accidentally referenced the Lati@s part of this with the Soaring feature, one of my favorite additions to that game as a whole for this reason...
Dragonite? Based and Lancepilled. There's a reason he uses 3 and it's not because it's the only Dragon type available in Kanto, trust me.

Pichu is cool too. It was actually my first favorite Pokemon, purely because of Smash Bros. I think my list of favorites was:

Pichu
Snorlax?
Dragapult
Dragonite
Greninja (ironic cause I hate it now)
Dragapult
Dragonite
Sceptile
Dragonite
Charizard (mostly because of Mega Charizard X)
Infernape
Dragonite

It always comes back to Dragonite

(Insert some filler text from me on this line to fill in that gap)

What can I say, my friend? Dragonite's just built different, you know? By the way... in the off chance that you're into Mario Kart games like I am, there's something I want you to look up. It's a Pokémon themed custom track, and you will not be disappointed. It's called "Dragonite's Island".

yes, this is an impossible setup bc vivillon got snapped.
no, it's probably not a particularly good team comp.
but if i HAD to pick a team of only 6 from any gens these would be the ones.

mimikyu is just a great pokemon and i actually was lucky enough that on my way to a 6IV one while i was doing egg RNG in gen 7 i had a flawless shiny frame pop up within like... 40 eggs of my initial target. so he will be coming with me as long as i can possibly move him up. he's currently one of my main tower / sparring champs, up there with g-zapdos.

vivillon is my favorite bug type and polar form has a special place in my heart just bc i no longer live in an area where i can hatch them. i keep procrastinating moving her to Home because it means i won't be able to play with her in refresh anymore :(

appletun is just my favorite pokemon and i don't care how bad it is i will find a use for it.

swampert remains my all-time favorite starter pokemon and it helps that it can really punch some holes in things with the right support. makes it feel less like a nepotism pick and more like an actual asset.

sableye can be so annoying when used right, and even if this team comp isn't the best it would be in there helping to cripple things for viv and mimikyu to set up on.

slurpuff is just another mon i'm unreasonably attached to for some reason lol. like appletun. if i have the option of running it to even moderate levels of success, i want to.

That's actually a really cool track, because it has Dragonite models in Mario Kart Wii, my second favorite Mario Kart game.

It's really cool how much stuff people did with Mario Kart Wii. It even has an online mode completely run by fans

I love Slurpuff. It's really fun in random battles because it sweeps everything with Belly Drum + Unburden
yeah! i have a pair of them in game -- one is a transfer with BD + drain punch + unburden, and the other is sticky web support. tbh i prefer the former but it's kind of harder to use against the AI since its setup is more complicated than mimikyu's. i do trot it out when i need a break from clicking shadow claw or brave bird though, lol.

Here's my ultimate national Dex AG team!!! Also I included the eighth badge of each region except Galar; if I could include the final badge from my fan fiction game ideas then it would be complete!
BTW May is a total sweetie pie in her Wallace Cup outfit!! Just I wish all the white on her dress was blue instead.

Dragonite- My second game was Leaf Green and I grinded out a lot (in the Rocket Casino) to get a Dratini... Did I get a Dragonite before E4? Unfortunately not :< Ever since then I tried to add Dragonite in my (in game) teams like Heart Gold and BW...and always had the same name (Tiny).

Jirachi- My first game was Ruby and uhh I might have been baited by the wishing stone in Mossdeep giving you Jirachi. Still though, its a really cute mon, soft, friend-sized and all. I never got one legally though...

Tyranitar- Its a Godzilla. Like...how cool is that? Probably my mega if ever though.

Dracozolt- A funny guy. I haven't played SwSh, but I find its design to be too good. Its just looks so wacky and happy and doesn't look too...monstrous? (eg. Dracovish).

Volcarona- I first saw it when I fought Alder. I dont really like bug types, but Volc looks so pretty and majestic.

Whimsicott- Its a child. What more do you want?

music stops playing Hang on a second. That's not you. Who is that person anyway?

That, my friends, would be the name I've decided to go with in the case that I ever play as the female protagonist in a Pokémon game from whatever reason. If you know your trivia well enough, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out where I got the idea from. Anyways, my first time trying this out of interest was in my most recent playthrough of Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. This run in particular was originally going to be an Emerald nuzlocke on a flash games site before Adobe Flash shut down, and then I revised it into an ORAS nuzlocke with some added rules to compensate for the lower difficulty of the remakes. The fun doesn't stop there, though, as I realized that between all the stupid mistakes I was making earlier in the run as well as a nasty run-in with Wattson's gym battle (turns out Sturdy Magneton countered basically my whole team alone), I ended up just turning it into a normal playthrough but with nuzlocke encounter rules.

Anyways, I just recently got back into playing through it after quite some time, and this is my final team plan unless something crazy happens later in the game. For the purpose of currently unannounced free writing plans that have nothing to do with this thread, I may end up making her into an OC concept at some point in the near future. As such, I figured I'd give her a Trainer Card to go along with that.

Maybe you could make "Summer" your rival. It wouldn't be a rival without a Crobat.

Also this made me realize that Hariyama has no mouth, like at all. Where is it?

trainercard-Meme Guy.png

This team is basically just my top six favorite Pokemon although they are not ordered on this card. Here are the explanations for each Pokemon:
:sceptile: :blaziken: :swampert: The Hoenn starters are easily my favorite trio of starter Pokemon. Emerald was my first game and I distinctly remember spending a half hour contemplating which starter to choose, eventually going with Treecko as my very first Pokemon. I eventually got around to using the other two starters in later playthroughs and a bit competitively. I think all three of them have fantastic designs and for a long time Sceptile was my all-time favorite Pokemon
:scizor: Scizor is one of the best designs in the series in my opinion and it's one of the only Bug types to be OU relevant. Whenever I use it it always puts in work and competitively, it is one of my most used mons
:mimikyu: I have never actually played through a game with a Mimikyu before but its backstory and unique ability and typing really warmed me to it. Its entire gimmick of imitating Pikachu because of its loneliness is relatable sad and it's a really precious Pokemon to me
:garchomp: Finally we arrive at my favorite Pokemon of all time. My first exposure to Garchomp was seeing my friend fight Cynthia's on his DS. As I watched the land shark destroy his entire team, I knew I had to catch that monster and make it my own. I used a Garchomp in Diamond, Platinum, and many later playthroughs, but what catapulted it into the spot of my favorite Pokemon was using it on Showdown. Its Rockium Z set in gen 7 was super reliable and in the Clown Tundra, it gained an incredible tool in Scale Shot. The combination of an incredible design and its competitive prowess have cemented Garchomp as my all-time favorite Pokemon

trainercard-Chad-21.png

Decided to make one more for my pre-planned Brilliant Diamond team. I can't guarantee this is 100% set in stone because I'm a picky little shit that changes opinions every 5 seconds but this team looks really cool. No type overlap, solid Grass/Water/Fire core which I'm a sucker for, and generally cool Pokemon that I can come up with neat strats for. People who browse the datamining thread certainly know I've been planning Trick Room + Rampardos :P

Okay so assuming its still alive, I guess I'll do this

Mega Charizard X: Okay, don't get me wrong, it's overrated as all hell. That literally can't stop me from enjoying it's design (especially x mega), I just find it a pretty cool Pokemon Overall.

Jolteon: I always thought it had a cute, yet pretty cool design. I also liked the electric type a lot so yeah.

Gallade: Psychic Fighting is a good type combo and I enjoyed using it on mono fighting teams.

Scizor: I really just like its design lol (also competitive usage).

Swampert: Solely competitive usage. You can't tell me yawn stealth rocks flip turn isn't a fun set fun to toy with your opponents mind with.

Serperior
: Contrary is a fun ability to use if you wanna piss off your opponents, and its just generally a cool Pokemon to me

I had half the mind to put landorus on ere because its the first mon i ev trained lol.

So yeah, that concludes the reasoning behind this team. Hope you enjoy reading this

trainercard-Regic Boat (3).png

hey hey, Regic Boat here. again. i made another trainer card! this time with very different pokemon and less legendary spam! so, lets get started on why i picked these pokemon.

Drapion is simply my favorite pokemon. i absolutely love scorpions, they're so interesting! like for example, did you know that Scorpions glow green when exposed to UV Light? really cool, right? so it would actually be fitting for shiny Drapion to be green instead of red...
i also find it really funny how Skorupi loses its bug typing for the dark typing when it evolves into drapion, because scorpions are literally not bugs, so yeah thats really funny. Drapion also has my favorite color, purple!

Heatmor is, like Drapion, one of my favorite pokemon. it started when i submitted a buffed version of Heatmor to a pet mod called Super Smash Stereotypes (wich, if you're interested, should check out!), wich was when i realized that Heatmor would be a REALLY fun mon to use if it didn't suck so much. i also made a evolution for Heatmor in my custom region, Blizheat!, wich is fire/ice! i dont know much about Anteaters, though.

Eelektross is another pokemon i love. i love eels, and eelektross is obviously a eel. it also makes part of my favorite generation, gen 5. i would love to use it if it was in gen 8 and didn't suck.

Toxapex is (im pretty sure) my friend's favorite pokemon, and i love using it. specially a unset wich can actually work, wich is choice band toxapex (aka Bandana, as its called). but using it to stall people out is cool too, i guess. also, again, purple

Registeel makes part of my favorite pokemon group, the Regis, and is my favorite regi. also, Regic Boat.

when i was playing a certain pokemon fan game, i would always, and i MEAN always use a Mega Flygon on all my runs. All Of Them. so, yknow, i started liking Flygon more and more, i realized its really fun to use, too! i used it in a couple of battles and it seemed to have worked out. specs flygon is also really funny overall to use.

also, the badges are a mix of the badges i find to be the coolest. so yeah, thats my new and probably last trainer card i'll be making for atleast quite some time! also, shadow lugia is there because i love the idea of Shadow Pokemon. the Colosseum(?) trainer is there because i think his design is absolutely sick.

A bit late but here's one for my first Brilliant Diamond playthrough. Unfortunately I didn't fight the Drifloon trainer in Fantina's gym so now I'm stuck waiting to find one on a Friday so I can advance the game

Torterra (Sprout) was my Starter of choice because Grass types rule
Picked up Staraptor (Starfire) because Gardenia is a pain for grass-types
Buizel (Twix) came next and it was here to have a fast attacker
I think I grabbed Electabuzz (ZipZapZop) next in the underground and it took forever to find it
Medicham (Ginger) was clutch because I got a 31 Attack IV + Adamant nature one on my first try. High Jump Kick go brrrrr
Skuntank (Penelope) was my last addition; Acid Spray go brrrr

Not shown here is Omelette the Blissey who I realized could help me cheese past Spiritomb with Light Screen because then it only goes for Sucker Punch buying you extra turns to set up Swords Dance/Rock Polish with Torterra. Also not shown is Sprinkles the Clefairy because I trained her to level 45 and could not find a Moon Stone for the life of me.

My new card:
newtrainercard.png

Volcarona - The MVP of my first ever competitive battling team back in 2011, and has subsequently been the MVP of many other competitive battling teams I've made since. Add to that a majestic design, awesome concept, and the ability to catch one during the main story in B2W2, and I think you can see why Volcarona would be one of my all-time favorites.
Alolan Ninetales - Take an already majestic Pokemon and make it even more majestic, give it a typing that allows it to terrorize about 90% of Dragon-types, and phenomenal team support in Aurora Veil, and you've got another lock for a spot on my card.
Dragapult - A diplocaulus/stealth bomber hybrid with a huge movepool, triple digit base attacking stats, base 142 Speed... oh, and 2 Dreepy with it. Enough said.
Umbreon - My previous favorite before Volcarona, Alolan Ninetales, and Dragapult all usurped it. Honestly, the only reason it isn't still my definitive favorite is that its abysmal offenses make it a real headache to use in most games (I did have fun using one the first time I played HeartGold, though).
Lumineon - It's pretty impressive what a Pokemon can do if you give it even the slightest chance to prove itself. This thing has grown on me exponentially over the past year. From winning all 5 Master Rank Contests in ORAS, to exceeding my expectations when I replayed Platinum with it on my team, to discovering just how awesome the combination of Storm Drain, Tailwind, and Psych Up can be in Double Battles when combined with mons like Volcarona or Kommo-o, it's been a pretty impressive journey for the most underrated bioluminescent butterflyfish in history.
Grumpig - A mon that has always served me extremely well every time I've put it on an in-game team (being the MVP of my most recent Alpha Sapphire team, in fact). I also love how it's a bit of a twist on the biblical passage of not casting pearls before swine; instead of trampling them, Grumpig uses them to amplify its Psychic power and control opposing minds with its sick dance moves.

Honorable mentions: Morpeko, Skarmory, Hawlucha, Garchomp, Ribombee, Eelektross

trainercard-Lialiabeast .png

1.Infernape: Infernape is by far my favorite Pokémon. It has always been my starter choice in the Gen 4 games and also in DPP tiers I have built 3 different teams around it. It has been my favorite since Pokémon Diamond. Super badass mon if you ask me.

2.Swampert: Swampert holds a special place in my memories due to the fact that it was my first ever starter and thus my first ever Pokémon to use. Mudkip is... Mudkip so everyone likes it and Swampert is just freaking awesome and really useful in the Gen 3 games. I have also used it in competitive many times, mainly in Gen 6 games and PS.

3.Bisharp: Ok so there are multiple reasons for choosing this mon to be here: A. It is just too damn cool and it got swag. B. Easily my favorite Gen 5 Pokémon and most used in the games. C. My 2nd ever shiny was a Pawniard. THAT'S RIGHT. I encountered by pure luck a shiny Pawniard in Pokémon White 2 and caught it. From this day it has become my favorite shiny. D. One of my most used competitive Pokémon in PS in the OU and Monotype tiers while I have also written my first analysis around it.

4.Galarian Ponyta: I love horses irl and ride every now and then. This little horse is just too good looking to miss and it is also my favorite galarian form. Also, I got into LC lately, trying to main the tier and Galarian-Ponyta is easily my favorite in the tier.

5.Mega Sharpedo: My favorite Mega evolution but this Pokémon has also a small story. So I started playing competitive Pokémon in XY WiFi battles and a friend of mine was playing as well. One day (for some reason) we decided to battle each other but with a bet. The loser has to play 30 matches with a mega of the winner's preference. Well, I still remember that I lost badly and so he decided that Mega Sharpedo would make me miserable because I couldn't find a Speed boost Carvanha no matter what. Well as you can imagine without this ability Mega Sharpedo was weak af, but for some reason I kinda started liking it and making it useful in battle. My first ever National dex team was around Mega Sharpedo. Also, I really like the ocean so extra points to the shark and I believe we would be badass irl.

6.Tapu Lele: I have to choose between two favorite legendaries: Tapu Lele and Yveltal. I chose Tapu Lele due to the fact that I have used it way more than Yveltal in competivite only because I avoid using legendaries in main series games. Also, Tapu Lele is AWESOME. Still, I would like to add Yveltal as honorable mention because it is super badass.

Really hard time figuring out 6 pokemon since I love so many of them and everytime I look through the pokedex, I find 10 more I would like to add.
I sticked with these for the following reasons:
One day I started nicknaming myself pablo and for some reason stuck with it, even tho I have no bounding to the name whatsoever and is no refference to pablo escobar.

:ss/Thwackey: & :ss/guzzlord:
These two are probably my absolute favorite pokemon of all time. Thwackey Idek what makes it so special to me, especially considering I usually pick red pokemon/fire types and the infernape line is right there. I just love its theme, the designe, the ability and probably a lot comes from its viability in the current SSZU metagame which I happen to play frequently :>. I also love monkey memes where they do funny stuff.
For Guzzlord, it has been one of my favorite pokemon ever since I got my hands on it ingame. It looks amazing and I chose the shiny form despite me usually liking everything in black more, because it feels special. I also like to eat a lot, just like Guzzington.

:ss/turtwig:
And yet again, despite me not liking Grass types all that much overall, Turtwig is my 3rd pick. And this is a historical pick. Turtwig was my first pokemon I ever used, back in generation 4. It also looks so freaking cute, just look at it.

:ss/spiritomb:
Spiritomb has a special place in my heart. Before I learned that you can actually obtain this pokemon fairly easily in Gen4, I thought this weakness-less pokemon only seen from Cynthia catched me. So much so, that I thought it is the best 'legendairy' pokemon in the gen. This was all before generation 6 and me learning how to google 'How to catch Spiritomb' and I was a very easy to influence kid. It also has a sick designe if you're being honest.

:ss/Pignite:
It is funny that this is my first and only Gen5 pokemon. I LOVE BW/B2W2. And love is an understatement. I played these easily more than any generation and I had my fair 999:59h on Gen4/5/6 and 7 so this actually means a lot. I hatched my first shiny pokemon via masuda methode in this generation and also got my first random shiny ever and just way too many memories to express in this short explaination. Gen5 is amazing.
Oh and what that has to do with Pignite? I picked this little piggy every single time, except once when I tried Snivy iirc. The whole line is just really cool and I had to pick one so I chose the amateur wrestler. :>

:ss/Nickit:
It's cute. That's it. Like, for real.

Diamond was my first game, thus the Dialga background

Grotle was my first card and Turtwig was my first starter, so Torterra gets in

There was a Leafeon deck I got early in my Pokémon journey

Honchkrow was the star of my Diamond team, currently my favorite Pokémon

Flygon was my favorite for a long time

Zekrom's there to represent Gen V, when I feel the main series games were at their height

And Oricorio represents the more recent generations and a personal turnaround

I went with the miner guy to represent where I'm from

Ok so I originally decided to build my Sinnoh Frontier Team after I was done with the Factory, but that doesn't seem to happen anytime soon, so I just decided to build it now. 3 scripted encounters and 3 bred mons in my Heart Gold cart that compliment each others strenghts and weaknesses, while personally trying to avoid any mon I used in my Hoenn Frontier team, to have more variety (so no Salamence, Heracross, etc). I think these 6 frens are more than enough to beat all the facilities, I just finished their EV training and I already love my team so much. :blobwizard:

This is overall how would I imagine my team if I were a trainer in the Pokemon world. All of these are my favorite Pokemon, whom I love and share many experiences together.
Also I changed my 'main Trainer Card'. Decided to include Shiny Mamoswine, since I always seem to run with a lot of luck with the Swinub line. My first legit shiny ever, bred a shiny one years later in SWSH by mere accident, ran into a perfect attack shiny Swinub in a fangame after that (it was Rejuvenation, and I know the shiny rate is higher but still, of all Pokemon...). So yeah, it's destiny at this point. Sorry Hydreigon.
